  1. An amazing feature for sure. Wouldn't it be nice to have Turn-by-Turn in a 2007 Aveo for the cost of OnStar + $10? A nice, simple alternative to the cluttered, unergonomic and expensive screens for those that use navigation less frequently. I would actually be very interested in such a thing.
  2. On a serious note, the interior is not that bad. Its superemely driver-friendly and amazingly ergonomic.
  3. Oh c'mon...you guys know I'm just pissed because one of the cars in my driveway is dead.
  4. Oh, come on...I see at least 30 members on the site...no one can vote?:hissyfit: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :breakdance: :breakdance: :toiler: :globe: :butthead: :australia:
  5. This...is...just...another...example...of...how...flexible...production...ensure s...(Japanese brand)'s...superiority...over...all. From accounts I've heard, this thing and the Armada/QX56 get horrible mileage, like, 10-15
  6. I understand. And to elaborate, I do find humor in the fact that all these brands are battling with vehicles that don't even exist yet in a market segment that might prove to be a lot shallower than anyone seems to anticipate right now. These types of vehicles seem to have absolutely no advantange over anything else in their segment. They're smaller than traditional midsize crossovers and offer less utility, they don't perform nor handle nearly as well as their sedan and wagon counterparts, have absolutely no offroad prowess, yet cost more. Its unbelievable to watch as these things literally create a market for themselves for no logical reason.
  7. Unneeded.

    The interior

The silver-faced guages will reflect like a bitch and the Tang citrus coloration blows.
  9. Typo in the article...
  10. Don't blame the market; blame the fact that the XG350 was a very dopey and awkward-looking car with traditional throwback domestic Asian large car styling. The solution to this would to go over the Azera's interior again, evidenced here... ...with the handful of deadplates concealing unbought options, massive chime speaker obscenly placed on the dash, and an uncoordinated center stack with the same cheesy green LCD backlighting used on the Elantra and Rio. In fact, much of the switchgear on the Azera I saw back in November at the Tampa Auto Show came out of the Elantra I was then driving as a rental. Also, the example I saw firsthand had pretty bad build quality. The corners of the dash didn't match up to the door panels on either side and the rear armrest wouldn't stay flush. Obviously, haven't driven one yet, but if its anything like the handful of late-model ones I have (Elantra, Optima, Amanti, last Sonata) with their irritating traits like too-short sunvisors, horizontal ignition slots, steering columns that lock randomly, unprogrammable door locks, and six different high-pitched 'ding' chimes...*shudder*. Is it better than the XG? Sure. But so is a '97 LeSabre. Hyundai still has a way to go in terms of evacuating the Koreanness out of their lineup.
  11. How about c) that America is large itself.
  12. I know, Toni. I admit, 5% of my comments are because I'm a Buick fan but 95% are just borne out of give-me-a-break-ness.
  13. No way. The FJ is much larger and much bulkier. Look at the dimensions - a slightly scaled-up Golf.
  14. Let's wrap all that in a big IMO sandwich. I don't understand your hate for a car you couldn't buy anyway and that you've stated you don't like before. Seriously.
  15. RAV4 fighter? That doesn't even make sense. If anything, this would be a Pontiac Pirahna or Rageous fighter if those cars made it to production. As for the vehicle itself, I still think the new corporate face is obnoxious, but this is definitely the type of product VW needs to put out again - small, cheap, unique, and fun-looking. We've all had our fill of Touregs and Phaetons that should've gone to Audi in the first place.
  16. The rear is lousy. No fake Bangled Bimmers, thanks. The rest is solid.

  20. For a second, I thought this had a point. Why don't you continue this (tired) discussion in one of the fifty other existing Lucerne threads?

    Lexus RX350

What were the real-world mileage results for the RXh again? If they were as bad as I think they were, what's the point of it since this seems to get respectable mileage for being a power hog.
  22. G6 GTP gets around the same mileage as a Bonnie GXP I believe. Solstice isn't practical GTO, meh, its a draw. Bonnie has room and a trunk though. GP GXP is nice but it ain't no Bonnie. Nicer interior? Subjective. But people of above average height can sit in the back of a Bonnie. Not as many airvents either. Now, if it had a tent for the trunk, I think we could sell 500,000 Bonnevilles.
  23. I want to first commercial to say, "I have a dream that one day my four little children will one day take the corners with confidence and aggression in all weather" with a voiceover at the end announcing "Thank God Almightly, 2.9% APR to qualified buyers at last!"
  24. You know what? If the Bonnie GXP were here now, it could still accurately be called the most desireable car in the Pontiac lineup.
  25. Unfortunately, comparo results don't necessarily equal sales as the RL has borne out. And while as a whole Acura may have been always sport luxury intender (I would compare it more to Audi than BMW myself), the RL brand has not. The last iteration was rather large, rather compliant, and rather underpowered for the price. The 'real' luxury car comment is intended to call to mind the two features that the vast majority of buyers agree upon as requisite - rear-wheel drive and a V8, and if you don't have the former, you sure as hell better have the latter. On the spreadsheet, its a very but-heavy entry as in "lots of features, but look at the price" or "sounds like it handles great, but only AWD" or "lots of horsepower, but its a V6." Regardless of the power coming from a six, the eight-cylinder car carries beaucoup prestige in any circle. This is without a doubt and something that hurts Acura in the true luxury circle. The looks are another problem with the car. There's nothing inherently ugly about the styling, especially compared to BMW's gaudy flagship, but that 7er does have presence, good or bad. So does the S-Class. And the XJ, Q45, DeVille, and STS. Even the Town Car. The LSs have never been anything special, but they at least appeared large. The RL suggests a much smaller car than it actually is and one doesn't have to look hard to see it is rather bland and nondescript. Even the last RL and the Legends of the past had more befitting exterior girth. Speaking of which, you also do have to fault Acura for totally raping its most well-known model or any and all identity when it dropped the Legend nameplate for 'RL,' a totally meaningless designation. I believe one of the reasons was the Legend and Integra nameplates were gaining too much cred over the Acura brand itself. Again, this name change and the mediocre outgoing RL makes this very good Legend a total unknown.
