  1. Man, I remember that day so well. I was a freshman in high school. Heard about it at the beginning of second peried, my class was outside on the football field (I was in band and we were practicing marching) when one of the teachers came outside and broke the news to us. That rest of that day was basically cancelled, the only thing we were really able to do was watch the news in shock and horror.
  2. Uh...ok. 2/3 Buick models are built in America 3/4 Saturn models are built in America All Cadillacs except for the Escalade EXT are built in America Not to mention that all the money that those brands make goes straight to that great big, shiny tower in Detroit, Michigan. Who the hell OK'ed this ad?
  3. Is it weird that I pondered playing this song for that cute blonde hostess at the restaurant where I work? Well, I did up until the two dudes part. I don't share my women.
  4. Bon Jovi = Lame. I swear, I thought that band was done, but the nightmare apparently continues.
  5. There's another economic Depression on the way that will surpass the intensity of any of the others.
  6. Uh...wow. I agree with a very select handful on that list...not counting cars I never knew existed (Horsey Horseless?). The article about the Model T is actually completely infuriating...its bad because 100 years ago it put everyone on wheels and that equaled pollution overtime? And its a piece of junk because it was manufactured so everyone could afford it? Way to totally miss the point.
  7. Exactly the reason why I criticize people for buying foreign. Seriously, though, man...GM isn't planning on shutting any more plants (other than Powertrain North) in the Flint area are they? I mean, another few shutdowns and the town is dead. Not dying...totally dead.
  8. You officially win. That Power Wagon and GSX are just...no, I don't know how to describe the awesome.
  9. Saturn starts building well-engineered, desirable cars and people throw a fit. Was it a slow news day or is this strange vortex of media bias apparently neverending?
  10. Congratulations, man. The best of luck to you.
  11. I'm waiting for the Chinese automakers to get over here and immediately suffer crippling recalls. I am going to laugh my ass off.
  12. What that artice said is exactly like saying "Buick City is gone, so therefore Buick no longer exists."
  13. If Toyota really wanted to move product they could just PAY people to take them off the lots. Hell, I'd take a Tundra if a dealer paid me to take it off their hands. 'Course, I'd probably just use the money to buy a plane ticket to Japan, build a big pyre out in front of Toyota HQ and torch the motherf@#ker.
  14. "Mandatory extra weight via more safety features while increasing CAFE!!!!" If there's one thing that's absoultely killing the domestics, its the goverment's constant f@#king meddling.
  15. You're not alone. *cough* Flint *cough*.
  16. Favorite? As in single favorite? I don't really think I can do that...but I can do my favorite from each of the five traditional divisions: Buick: 1953 Roadmaster Skylark Cadillac: 1959 Eldorado (any) Chevrolet: 1957 Bel Air V8 Sport Coupe Oldsmobile: 1970 442 W-30 Pontiac: 1965 Bonneville convertible
  17. "Got a devil's haircut in my mind"
  18. When I was a senior in high school, my buddy rolled and totalled his Blazer on an icy road, so you might want to think a little bit on that.
  19. Most Flint-area cops still drive Crown Vics, Impalas and the occasional Tahoe...but some Flint suburb towns have been trading up the old Crown Vics for Chargers, though.
  20. I like the shifter and the steering wheel, but the instrument cluster and console doesn't have the Buick feel to them. They're all cool, don't get me wrong now...just some of it I don't think fit the image of the brand.
