If you were to walk into the show and see the Jeep area, you would know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Its 40 feet tall you can't miss us!

California may get this "total freak liberal" stamp from the rest of the country, but we really are very moderate. Yes, we do care about the environment. Yes, we do want our cars to be cutting edge and an example for the rest of the country. But, we are not going to let something extreme and retarded like a throw away car pass. People are NOT going to spend 50 grand on a car and have to throw it away in 5 years. The lawyers are already standing at the ready.

In defense of Chrysler, A lot of the product was NOT setup yesterday to make room for the large area that was needed for the unveiling of the new sebring convert. Today, there were many more vehicles on display and the Impereal was also placed on its show stand. When I arrived this morning, I was really suprised to see how many more cars there were inside the area then there were the previous day. I think maybe the area set aside yesterday may have been too large, but they had rigging and stuff up for the stunt dancers and a changing room for Jennifer Love-Hewitt to be in cause she was a special guest. Today the the Gov. was here checking out things and tonight is the black tie gala..... I will report on the who's who that were there tonight as I am working the Jeep booth. EDIT -- Did not see the DTS-L there and had a conversation from somebody that is with Cadillac and he said that he hadn't heard anything about it. Did talk about the SLS in China and how popular it is with the dignitaries there as well as the Buick Lacross that they have over there.

Saw it today while we were setting up. Looks nice, quite the show when they do the narration on it. Also, special hollywood guest is going to be there to talk about it. PS She is a HOT ONE!
-
I will be there the whole show at the Bug jar... come see us and get some free stuff and get your picture taken! Say hi to me also..... you can find a pic of me in the Phoenix auto show thread!

Pretty sure it is a grill guard. I kinda looked at that when I was looking at the truck and It looked like the components of the truck were all there.

I took all those pics on my day off. I already have tons of pics of the Chrysler products. I am a big fan of the Jeep Wrangler. Its a lot more practical than the H3 is. The Grand Cherokee is also a nice ride. The Commander, I don't fit in the third row and there are photos to prove it LOL. Patriot is going to be a sweet seller, my best guess is that you will see the compass disappear once the Patriot goes on sale. PS, I now have kind of a soft spot for the Chysler Aspen, I can see why somebody would buy it in Black.

They needed something to fill space and thats what was available. To top it all off, they had a narrarator on it too!

The Compass is not that bad. People were checking them out at the show and they really do have potential if people look into them and see what they are. They are a small car with some Jeep personality.... much more risk taking than a civic or a corolla. The Liberty is due to become larger like the Nitro, but its not going to be on the wrangler chassis like this concept is.

The GMC Acadia was on display so you could sit it in. Is this really made by GM? The same GM that everybody hates on all the time? Wow wow wow is all I have to say about it. The crowd around it was very big considering the show was empty. People were saying how they want one and how nice it is and just lots of rave reviews. Outlook Shots Chevy SS Shots Buick DUB! MORE TO COME!!!

Alright guys I am in Phoenix at the auto show here with the Jeep exhibit and I had the day off today so I did some looking around and I brought my Kodak with me. First the Silverado..... Let me say, this car, um I mean truck, is awesome! With the new rack and pinion and the interior that is awesome in the LTZ and way more than expected in the LT, I feel like I'm driving an aura or maybe even a cadillac in it. It was so smooth and quiet! But... the plastic on the dashboard was pretty hard and the tan leather was kind of dirty, I know it is a demo vehicle, but the leather can be hard to clean, but it was high grade stuff. Power was great, even with the small V8. The 5.3 is a rocketship. Gears? Who cares how many it has. I didn't even feel the transmission shift even when I floored it completely. Here are the first set of pics.... The pics are BIG so I am posting the thumbs. This one is blury sorry Custom Job here

The more it sinks in, the more I like the car. I test drove the previous verison of the malibu (which one COTY honors when it came out) and it was way too small and nasty. This car is awesome and it really does have more room inside of it than my W Body Grand Prix. If I wasn't thinking used Cadillac for my next car, this would be on my list of things to buy.

I drove an XE rental today for about 50 miles and I was IMPRESSED. The 3.5 did just fine! It sounded like an engine! Big suprise there..... I'm sure the 3.6 would be better as I have driven a STS with one and it was awesome. 3.5 has enough power and the interior was very quiet and well behaved. Drove without radio on the whole time on I70 around St Louis. The interior is very nice. The materials are all nice and its well put together. Love the orange gauges and the orange black tie radio. Cupholder door is sweet how it is spring loaded and it has that loovered look to it. We had 4 grown men in the car, and it was commented on how nice it was to have the knee cuts in the back for the taller people in the back. The "non car guys" in the car were suprised to see the GM badge on the car not expecting it to be made by General Motors. Overall, a great car that costs less than any foregin car in its market. PS - The Cadillac door chime just gives it that extra touch of class in my opinion.

well, the sky and the solstice are both about 95% craft built in wilmington.... so the repairs should be able to be done quite well. Good luck with it.... looking foward to seeing the fixed pics.

That macaca thing was so classic! I read about that and now I get the rerun of SNL that I saw.
