  1. Actually... my friend still plays with the manumatic on his Mazda 3. He had his car for longer than mine. But I do agree it's just a niche thing.
  2. ...sigh. Typo. Probably it was when my boss suddenly appeared behind me this afternoon.
  3. Reading this post by trinacriabob, it sparked me to think about my own problems. I just find it really hard to fit into my own age group now. Not that I'm incredibly smart or anything (in fact to be honest I'm more like the last in the class), but I find myself a bit more comfortable with people in different age groups. However, my best friend told me that relationships with older people are very "surficial" (not sure if this is the right word). No offense, but I find this somewhat true. It's really not like you can take things straight out of the heart and express yourself. It's just different. That sort of turned me off from hanging around older people. However, trying to get along, I seem to have a lot of problems people in my age group. It's like, to them it's like partying, going clubbing, getting girl/boyfriends, have fun, all that sort of thing is life. But those things get my nerves. Maybe because I live a stricter life myself, and I'm living alone ever since university, plus I try to put a strong face in front of my parents so that they don't have to worry about me all the way back in Hong Kong, I've became more defensive and restrictive about these things. I tend to classify them as "bad", although I know it's definitely not as bad as I think it would be. What's worse, is this type of "defensiveness" had made people of my age turn away from me. Since this work term, I started living with my best friend, and my "strictness" about things seems to have gotten my friend's nerves. It's like harming our friendship. He tends to avoid me, as if the best friend thing never happened. In a nutshell, it's harming my relationship with my own age group, as if I don't "fit in". My question is: do I really have a personality problem? I know this is a car forum... sorry about all the ranting... just a sudden spark in me.
  4. Typed this by accident? The doors, chassis and mechanicals were... different?? You want to say similarities don't you.
  5. The formula is: Take the Grand Am, use an air-pump and blow up the ass. Run it into the wall and make it flatter. Strip the body cladding and use less offensive ones. Slap on some rockets. (No offense, Decka, if you are reading this ) That gen of N-bodies are one of the worse differentiated ones, runner-up from the 85-91.
  6. That's even worse. Sharing so little parts, it still looks the same. x2
  7. Well at least it's not a plastic cladded Achieva like the 1995 Grand Am... DON'T MAKE FUN OF THE G6!!! But seriously... The G6 styling is much more cleaner than the previous Pontiacs. As I was saying before some of my friends actually think it looks good, who otherwise won't even look at domestics altogether. I do agree it's (very) slightly lacking in character. But please no more cladded versions of platform-mates.
  8. Not the E-Bodies. I'm not 100% sure if my model answer is accurate, though. It's earlier than that.
  9. Now it's in pretty much every single new GM car. But which one was the first?

    BLS Review

It's not the platform's problem. Driving dynamics are really good on my car, so is the 9-3.
  11. I've did another test last night, with car running and not. Does the same thing, both door locks and windows.

    Good-bye

Sorry to hear this. You were one of the reasons why I came here in the first place. Best wishes and good luck.
  13. Not really. Probably just miscommunication. Speaking of TAPShift, I think Pontiac should start making it available across the line, not just the GP. Put it on the G5, then it'll be some differentiation from the Cobalt.
  14. But if you look at the trunk, the placement is really wierd. Especially on GT models. It'll look like: PONTIAC G5 o PURSUIT GTLooks as if a ricer tried to put JDM badges on and forgot to shave the original ones.
  15. Funny thing is that I never had that problem. I was raining quite hard the other day.
  16. Officially renamed... Pontiac G5 Pursuit. http://www.gmcanada.com/english/vehicles/p...rsuit/index.jsp Exact same car, now with dealer attached G5 badges (apparently).
  17. http://www.carsurvey.org/review_86352.html None of the engines he/she listed has a manual?? Is he confused on what he is driving?
  18. How dare you say that to my G6's Swedish cousin?? Nice car, BTW. I always liked these Saabs. Too bad they got rid of the hatch.
  19. For the price I got my G6, maybe to beat it I need to go to a Malibu. If you're saying "money" wise, I'm pretty sure the G6 undercuts most, if not all, of its competitors. I bought a G6, and I have no regrets at all.
