  1. We get it. You have a sarcastic sense of humor and you don't like Josh. Still, don't you think it's ironic to come on C&G to post about how there is more to life than posting on C&G. If you have any information about Fly's whereabouts, please do tell. Otherwise, take your own advice.
  2. NASCAR = WWE on wheels. Move along people...nothing to see here.
  3. That poor little car deserves better than to be passed around like a joint at a Phish concert
  4. Here is my dog Lucky saying to my sister, "Put the #@*$&? iPhone down and let me out!" PS, it's her birthday on Saturday
  5. Good for you NOS. I hope she gives turns out to be your missing rib. Kinda gives me inspiration to keep my own year-and-a-half long chase going. Oh, and :useless:

    Skillz

I drive by the Chevy dealer I bought my Cobalt from at least once a week. I never see the same '08 Malibu on the lot twice. And the pre-owned section of the lot is filling up with Japanese mid-sized sedans. Trade-ins for new 'Bus, perhaps?
  7. Nice.move. I hope the Banana Boat's foste.r owner took care of it in the interim. I'm sure it feels even more special the 2nd time around. Sorry to see that little Buick go so quickly. Such a cool little car - the 61-63 intermediates (especially the B-O-P versions) are some of the most under-appreciated yet coolest cars that GM ever made
  8. I thought he was in the midst of a successful comeback, and was making multi-platinum albums and earning millions upon millions of dollars under the name Justin Timberlake
  9. Whatever your thoughts are on the Viper, the fact is that it brought excitement and interest to a division at the time best known for broken down K cars, the Caravan, and oil spewing turbo 4cyls. It's the Chrysler Corporation's flagship, and in that aspect it is sad to see it go. Though I personally hate the car, I think killing it is unnecessary. Instead, the whole Viper formula could have been revisited, and a newer lightweight HEMI-powered version could have carried the torch, while the V10 model becomes a track-ready limited edition to go against the ZR1.
  10. Let's hear it for buttons! Not a fan. The original was much better looking.

  12. Interesting history, there - and you're not yet 40. Take it easy, B. You know where to find me. My prayers are with you as you tend to your father.
  13. Necessities: A sleek, pleasing shape A nice looking interior with switchgear that feels substantial. Booming stereo Nice wheels (no wheel covers) Sunroof Nice, tight suspension and steering Adequate power (I never want myself saying "C'mon, faster you POS") Good city MPGs Ability to swallow at least one bicycle cruise control - helps get better MPGs on long trips power locks/windows collapsible mirrors. I'd have lost mirrors on three separate occasions if not for the collapsible mirrors. Highly desired: Rear drive: Would be "essential", but part of me isn't sure how I feel about getting my nice rear-driver all covered in rock salt in the winter Leather, easpecially heated leather Manual tranny: would be "essential" if I lived in an area where there weren't stoplights every 500 feet. Can live without NAV: I have a portable GPS. I have an internet connection with access to MapQuest. I have a mouth with which to ask directions. soft-touch plastics everywhere power seats. Up, down, forward backward - that's good enough for me. backup cameras adaptive speed control self parking

    Pictures!

A roughly six-month old pic of me, taken from an iPhone
  15. Calm down. There's no need for that. Ford can't afford to operate like it's in a vacuum. The Mustang will feel the pinch of CAFE just like the Camaro and will need to evolve somehow to remain viable. In all likelihood, I can see the price of the Mustang GT rising as well as the V8 Camaro (whatever they decide to call it), so when all is said and done they'll both still be roughly comparable, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that we'll see a Mustang with an EcoBoosted V6 take over as the "volume performance" model with the GT and other V8 Mustangs become more exclusive.
  16. Looks like it will be significantly different from the Acadia/Outlook, which was my main worry.
  17. They lost me after the title. There never was a RWD Buick LaCrosse planned. Perhaps they haven't yet seen the Epsilon II LaCrosse spy shots. Still, I can see the case for making the V8 Camaro more expensive IF the rumors are true that a ~320hp version of the DI 3.6L will find its way into a Camaro. That would match up fairly well against a Mustang GT (which will likely have its price increased as well, don't forget), and I think that would end up being the most popular engine chosen. Having that engine would allow GM to push the V8 into more exclusive territory, justifying the higher expense.
  18. And it was great to finally hear him shut up. I hate how he calls MLB games and acts as it they should stop playing and hand Boston the title. He was relatively speechless at the end of the game, and I enjoyed it.
  19. The Giants have always been, even in their down years, one of the classier sports franchises - from the owner on down. Few sports teams, even the Yankees, can compare to the Giants organization. I lost a lot of respect for Belichick for not coming back on the field with :01 remaining. Not a good show of sportsmanship at all. There's never been a more appropriate time to bring up this clip: SHIPOOPI
  20. Eli was just phenomenal, as he was the entire postseason. Considering all the flak he's taken since the day he was drafted, I couldn't be happier for him. That game-winning drive was just an absolute masterpiece. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!
  21. Frank, I will definitely keep your situation in prayer. Losing grandparents is tough, and watching them deteriorate over such a long time is heartbreaking. I lost the only two that I knew eight years ago - they both died long, drawn-out deaths six months apart - and it still stings. As they grow older the elders in the family end up being the oil that keeps the different sects within the extended family going. I pray that your grandfather, for whatever he is going through, knows that he has a family that loves and cares for him, and may his days between now and the end be as peaceful and painless as possible. I pray for peace and strength for you, your family, and your grandmother as the inevitable occurs. Try to find solace in the fact that, though you'll miss him here, he's going to a place where he feels no pain, and you'll see him again. Take these lyrics, snipped from MercyMe's "Homesick", to heart:" "In Christ, there are no goodbyes And in Christ, there is no end So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have To see you again To see you again"
  22. Some of the side sculpting on the Accord seems weird and unnecessary to me, but it's way sharper than the sedan and the Altima coupe, which looks like a G35/350Z design study that didn't make the final cut. A Malibu coupe would do very well against both of these.
  23. Is your door sagging? It looks like it might be from the pictures. When you have it open, try grabbing the lower corner of the door (where you now have the tape) and lifting it up. If it moves significantly, you could have a bad hinge pin bushing that's causing the door to sag and bang against the striker. This isn't an uncommon thing among mid-80s GM cars, but it's an easy and cheap enough fix. 1) Support the weight of the door with a jack and/or have someone steady it. It is heavy so you may want to do both. 2) Open the door all the way. 3) Knock out one hinge pin with a hammer. 4) Take out the old bushing. 5) Put in the new bushing. 6) Reinsert the hinge pin. 7) Repeat for other hinges and, if desired, the other door. Once you do change them, make sure you lube them periodically. That'll extend their life.
