They have a min-site up for the Hummer laptops: http://www.hummerlaptops.com/

Windows users, to change your monitor's resolution: 1. Go to Start->Settings->Control panel. 2. Double-click Display (XP users switch to Classic View in the Control Panel first) 3. Click the "Settings" tab. 4. Move the "Screen Resolution" slider to the right to increase the resolution. 5. Hit Apply. 6. Hit Yes on the dialog box that pops up if you like the new resolution and want to keep it. Otherwise, hit No or wait for the 15 seconds to time out. 7. Repeat steps 4-6 until you find a resolution that's comfortable. 8. Hit OK.

The forums should at least be OK now for you guys. I shrunk the image down such that there's no scrolling on an 800x600 monitor. I'll work shrinking the banner graphic on the front page, and hopefully that should take care of the scrolling altogether.

Firefox guys: clear your browser cache, hit refresh, and tell me what you think. IE guys: hit refresh, and tell me what you think.

You get to live where I spent my summer vacation. San Diego absolutely rocks! The weather was perfect the whole time, and the scenery is just....wow. I'll post some pics as soon as I can get them out of my camera.

I'd definitely get one. The Cobalt should be paid off by then, and I'd like to add to the stable if finances allow. Nick, a new Camaro would be at least as good as the current GTO in terms of handling. Depending on what platform underpins it, it could be even lighter and more athletic.

I agree with Ven. Looking at it as an average consumer, it's hard to tell that the BLS is even remotely related to the 9-3. This car is fine for what it is, a smallish entry designed to help Caddy develop a presence in Europe. The current CTS is too big to do that. Perhaps when the new (and supposedly smaller) CTS debuts, this car won't be needed anymore.

wildman: The 3.6L Alloytec V6 (same as our 3.6L HFV6) will probably be standard, with V8 options coming from the LSx family.

Josh, if you just specify a width (or a height) and not the other one, the web browser should automatically scale it to the right size without distorting it. Plus, if you want a smaller image to use for the forum graphic, I can whip that up easily.

I wonder what stopped GM from using the body panels on the Brazillian S10/Blazer on the American versions as sort of a mid-life refresh. With some touching up this could have seriously upgraded their appearance.

I think we also need a special forum for when Harry goes on one of his "trips"....you know, just to keep everything nice and tidy.

We tried that. It's an issue on the old C&G server recognizing the default document to display, but only Walt has the info to get onto the old server to change anything. Hopefully this will all go away when the DNS switchover takes place.

I liked the Bel Air too. The one that was on the show circuit in 2002 had chrome trim chages that made it look a heck of a lot better than the one in that pic posted by Sixty8. It would have been interesting had it been produced....it could have filled the same role as the last Thunderbird for about half the price.

I agree. I think there needs to be a V6 model Camaro to bring the price of entry below 20K and to go after the V6 Mustang (where most of the Mustang's sales usually come from). The 3900 is probably the most realistic choice for use in a V6 Camaro, though I'd personally love an I6 (dreaming).

The 5.3L in the full-sizers takes E-85.

I hope nothing like that happens. And this isn't the GM enthusiast in me talking. Having one company in a partcular industry means no competition, meaning they could put out spectacularly lousy cars and trucks for ridiculously high prices, and we'd HAVE to buy it, because they're the only game in town. I can, however, see the autootive industry eventually parallel the computer industry, where various components are made outside of the car companies, who put them together in the most appealing package possible. For example, GM, Toyota, and BMW could someday purchase engines, transmissions, braking systems, and steering systems from an independent third party like Aisin, Allison, or Brembo, and put them into a body/platform that's designed in-house.

That steering wheel is terrible, but the rest of the dashboard looks very nice. That center stack/console treatment is above and beyond most everything GM makes. The exterior doesn't look like it'll break new ground, but it'll be nice.

I miss him too. He started a lot of interesting conversations with his GM retrospective topics in the Lounge. What struck me most about him was his huge heart. I think he is on oldsmobileforums.com now.

Here's one of me in Arizona last year. I haven't changed much from that pic, save for a couple of pounds of muscle and I have contacts now.

Flying....I'd only drive if I were to move out there. I went with American Airlines because they were the only ones who had nonstop flights in both directions. I learned from the last time I flew with them and brought my own snacks this time.

So I'm off to San Diego for a five-day late-summer vacation. I leave the house on Thursday (at 2:30AM) and should be back on Tuesday, the 30th. It'll be sunny in the mid 70s the whole time I'm there....sweet.

Satty's probably right. My father's 97 Skylark, your GA's kissing cousing, has the cable-activated fuel-filler door release. The car is 10 years old, so it's probably seized. I guess the right thing to do would be to just replace the cable. It shouldn't be too expensive but it'll be a PITA to put in. If you need to put gas into hte car before you can replace the cable, I'd probably try locating the cable underneath the car, near where the fuel door is, strip off a piece of the insulation, and pull it and see if the door opens.

1. I thought it was a motorcycle. 2. I'll guess Mustangs 3. dunno 4. dunno 5. Sammy's....it was in the shop for repairs, and both he and Mike had the same mechanic. 6. Nissan 300ZX 7. "Trans Am" BTW...it doesn't look good for a new VH album or anything.

some 3M double-sided tape should do it. You can probably get that at Autozone, or any autobody supply place.

Most parking brakes utilize the rear brakes, though it's usually cable-activated instead of using brake fluid. On disc brakes, many times there is a second set of pads that are situated behind the rotor that push "out", similar to the way that drum brakes operate. You might need those pads. If you have drums out back, try adjusting the rear brakes using the adjustment star behind the backing plate. Also, you'll want to check your parking brake cable(s) and make sure they're not seized or anything. You can usually just remove badges with a blow dryer or heat gun and some paint-safe glue remover. Just heat the glue behind the emblem and pull it off, then remove the rest with the glue remover. Because your paint is ten years old, the paint that was covered by the emblem *might* be darker than the rest of the car.
