I tought the interior was supposed to be one of the highlight sof that car?

I dunno if I will ever give up my first car. I'll probably keep it in storage after I move on, but at the same time I'd slowly try to restore it when I had money. Why bother restoring a little Shadow? Cuz, like Camino said, it's my first car, it's special to me, and it's been very good to my family in the 10 years or so that we've owned it. It deserves some TLC for all the faithful work it does. (I really do try to kee p it clean and taken care of, and fixing things on it when I can...like replacing the headliner). Besides, why sell it? It's not worth much

See now that sounds like a personal attack. So because I said it's "not pretty or sporty" that's a stupid excuse? I hate to tell ya, but it's universally agreed that the Avalon is anything but sporty. I didn't even call it a ugly piece of crap or anything, I simply said that I didn't think it was pretty. I suppose complimenting on being Toyota quality is part of the stupid "excuse" too? Come to think of it, how is any of the comment I made an "excuse"? What's it an "excuse" for? Do tell since you obviously seem to know. Also, if you're trying to refer to my comment about the plastic doors on the center stack, and that while the Navigator gets slammed for them the Avalon gets praised...how is that stupid? It's simply a question.

The other day me and a friend were at the Best Buy in Nashua, NH and we saw a Panoz Roaster in blue. I've never seen one of these or even knew the car existed before that day but, damn they are nice looking cars. Do they even sell these in the states? They look sweet!

I actually think that's a good idea, and one I've thought about before. Let Plymouth be a niche brand with 3 or 4 vehicles that are unliek anything else Chrysler/Dodge have. Like a new Prowler, a Roadster, and maybe bring back the `Cuda

Airbags are for the weak!!!!!!!! Lol just kidding. I wish my car had an airbag, especially after I was in an accident, but the car was made before airbags became available on it. I would think the worst that could happen with glasses is that the lens pops out of the frame and the frame bends, especially since most modern glasses are high-strength plastic instead of glass, so they won't shatter.

Meh, fine I simply won't reply it anymore, I just don't like the car. (btw PS2 is way better than Xbox )

Dial-up is evil, I have broadband, it's a bit expensive, but I'd never go back to anything less. lol.

That's odd, my Catalytic Converter is crap, and my car accelerates fine It's so old and worn out that parts have broken free and rattle all the time, This has been going on for over 2 years, since before the car was given to me. I hate the noise, but until the car fails inspection, I'm not waisting the money to fix it And it's been through 2 inspections that way, the last one was this past January As for the rattling sound...well that's what the stereo is for

The New Infiniti G35
Intrepidation replied to titan's topic in New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)
At any rate, this effect isn't new, and it wasn't wasn't pioneered by pontiac, hell, it wasn't even pioneered by cars. -
Not a damn one

Ok sure, the SUV may just be a TrailBlazer underneath, and it may be alienating to loyalists...but c'mon...it looks friggin' cool. I like Saabs recent "Born from Jets" ad campaign, the music, and narrator go well. This just happens to rock cuz the jet transforms into the SUV. I'm sure we've all seen it, but here it is for anyone besides me who really liked it http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=83...aab+9-3&pl=true

Problem is that the fact that Plymouth had mostly bage egnineered cares that had little reason to choose over their Dodge counterparts is why they were axed in the first place. Plus...I like the Caliber/Charger better as they are. Great effort though

So, because not all of us are in love with the exterior, we're children? Nice, very nice.

200 Intrepid for around 4k? I wouldn't mind having that The Eclipse sounds good too. A lot of people complained about the looks of that generation, but I always liked it both insde and out. I didn't know you could get them for as low as 4k.

I see your point, but you gotta admit, it ain't pretty The problem is that a lottapeople aren't just looking for cheap, basic transportation. When they do, often time they turn to the Koreans. Having the base model with a low price, Ecotec/4-speed is fine for base, but that dosn't mean he car has to look boring/ugly. The interior should have gotten a new center stack, and the materials should get at least a slight quality boost.

Waist of energy, since Bush has all the intelligence of a wad of dirt.

If you won't consider anything besides GM, I say go for it. The look pretty nice outside and inside. If you're open to other brands, I'd suggest looking at the PT Cruiser. More cargo room, nicer cabin, more fun to drive. Either one is pretty nice though. Personally, I'd take a PT Cruiser GT since it's got a turbo .

Isn't that what your Asstek has? lol I like to go fast when the opportunnity presents itself. Usually on the road a trvel to and from school every day, I go faster than the speed limit (45). I would say I go 50-60 depending on traffic. Of course, I never tailgate, so if I have to slow down so be it. But I like going at least 50 on that long winding road, and so does my Shadow As for the Malibu...meh, it's ugly, it still has a 4-speedd, and it's got a cheapo interior. To whoever is considering one, just buy an Aura...or even a G6

These trucks are lame and outdated. The exterior styling sucks. The shape of the wheel wells are nice, and with the flares they look good, but that front end is crap. On all 3 NA versions of this truck (GMC/Chevy/Isuzu) they have no integration what so ever, and don't look proportioned. Isuzu should have just imported the D-Max, at least it makes an attempt at having a creative, intrgrated front end. When I read a road test on it, the paint job was horrible, the build quality was just as bad, and the interior was cheap. I remember this being the general consensis from both auto123.com and edmunds. These trucks just lag far behind all of the other ttrucks, with the exception of the old Ranger. They need a redesign or significant refresh ASAP.

BRASELTON, Ga. — General Motors Performance Parts will unveil its new "Power Shop" exhibit this weekend at its Year One Experience, the annual convention of horsepower and speed here. The exhibit will then travel cross-country, making appearances at NHRA, NSRA, Good Guys and Super Chevy events. The automaker says the exhibit is dominated by a fully operational GMPP ZZ572 big-block crate engine that makes 720 horsepower, as well as a drag-racing simulator. Participants will be strapped into a Super Gas dragster and experience what it's like to rocket down the quarter-mile. Six-time NHRA Pro Stock Champion Warren Johnson and noted drag-racing instructor Frank Hawley act as on-screen guides for the ride. The exhibit also showcases GM Performance Parts, including wheel displays and replacement engines. Visitors can enter a sweepstakes to win a LS7 crate engine valued at $17,495. What this means to you: It's GM's version of Disneyland for enthusiasts. -- Sweeeeeeeeeet

I've never been a fan of the styling of the GP. The fact that it's FWD only makes thing worse. Let's not forget the old platform it rides on too. It's an OK car, but next to the Charger it doesn't stand a chance.

As with the other minivan threads...I say: why bother? These things sell so slow, and aren't very safe. No one in their right mind would buy these. Especially when every other van on the market is better than it now (even the Quest after it's refresh). Waist of GM's money
