Yep, AWD can be had with manual or automatic, with either engine.

Voted. C'mon...Prius or Volt? What would any person with a sense of style and half a brain choose?

Toyota Stages World Debut of All-New 2007 Tundra CrewMax @ NAIAS
Intrepidation replied to scotthendersonfan's topic in Toyota
My dislike for the truck is not a result of Toyota bashing but that it's not original, not quite right (on try #3), and just not that good looking (opinion). The only thing about Honda reaching it's target and Toyota possibly not, is that the Honda wasn't marketed and aimed at the traditional pickup segment. The Tundra is, so it will be scrutinized a lot more since it's being expected to be as good or better than the Big 3. In some ways it may be as good, in some it's a bit better, but it's also worse in others ways...and that may keep Toyota from getting it's projected sales. I could be wrong...this is justs speculation. Except they implied it was "beautiful" What are they smoking over there? You know there's some bias in that review because they ripped the Focus a new one for it's design...which IMO is far better. -
I Think the Si (coupe) is more attractive, and the spoiler is less tacky. It's dash is a little strange but looks better quality than the G6. It has less horsepower but it weighs less too. Plus ithas the Si sedan as an option. I don't like the sedan at all but giving the consumer an option of the more practical vehicle with the goods the coupe has is such a nice thing. I wish other automakers world do that (Mazadaspeed3).

South Lawrence and the downtown area are prone to car thefts.

I see your point, which is why I hope Pontiac gets some RWD vehicles soon. That is what will make it stand out, and with RWD cars in it's lineup it will have no trouble standing out from the other brands. However, for now Pontiac has crap...and now it has crap with a big, stupid spoiler. Oh and a couple Chevy rebadges. The RWD cars can't come soon enough. Their saving grace is the Solstice, it may not be a volume leader but it's the only thing keeping the image alive.

So after looking for work since September I've finally got a part-time job delivering for a local Pizza place. I have to say, so far I like it. I mean, I get paid to drive...pretty sweet. Anyway, I decided to to use the Shadow since the Prizm was blocked by another car and I don't really want to use the Intrepid for this kinda thing. So I get to work and start making deliveries, I'd made my first 2 and then was asked to deliver two more orders. Up until now the cars had been running fine...a little noisy (it now has an exhaust leak, after 18 years with it's original exhaust system), but otherwise fine. My first delivery took me to Market Basket, where customer service had ordered some food. I get out, make my delivery and head back to the car. I get in and go to start it...nothing. I then notice nothing is working: no dome light, headlights, gauge lights, door chime, and not even a turn over of the engine. At this point I'm furious because this is my first day and my car has died. So I call my girlfriend and have her bring whichever car is free to the parking lot ASAP. Within a couple of minutes she comes in the Intrepid, and we make the other delivery (and one other) before taking her home. Thank God that the Shadow at least died in a spot she could find me easily, and we have a car that works right. Oh course, the Intrepid finishes the night without fuss...just used up some gas. That night I get home and I'm too tired to give a $h! about the Shadow...so it gets left in the parking lot overnight. This morning we woke up early, and the two of us went to the Shadow. I thought that the problem might have been the battery cable that had been replaced by the mechanic a few weeks prior (the old one had exposed wiring and was cracked), because it had been running fine and the battery is less than a year old. When we got there I jiggled the cable and the dome light came on briefly, but went back off. We had called AAA to have it towed. He arrives, we explain the problem..and of course, on first try it starts up for him. He looks at me and laughs saying "the car must not like you" He shut it off and tried again, but it wouldn't start. Then he jiggled the cable while my girlfriend started it and it worked. So we took it back to the mechanic to have them fix what I believe is there mistake...so hopefully I won't get charged for it...or more specifically my mom (since it's technically her's...my car is the Intrepid). But man..way to start off a new job huh?

I've always wanted to go there, and to Greece. Except that for that Smart Fortwo, those are some very pretty pictures, enjoy your stay!

Some angles it looks great, some I'm not so sure...as other have said...it's definitely a car you need to see in person.

I watched the 2nd one. It was alright. Nothing special beyond the cool Camaro and Challenger. I see your point, but I don't know how many people Pontiac is targeting will pick this over Civic Si's...I wouldn't.

I'm 20...so I'm in the target demographic...and I find it hideously tacky and would be embarrassed to be seen in something that tacky...stock!

Now here's an angle I like (from MT's site)

Here's the link. http://autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?.../1056/autoshows Great new for GM, I'm somewhat surprised the Aura one, but what they said in the podcast makes sense. The Camry is a little better, the Fit is good but 4 years old, but the Aura represents a revolution at Saturn and GM.

I wonder if aluminum trim will be available instead of that stupid carbon fiber stuff. So far the pic with the wood looks best, and it's very pretty...is it real wood?

2008 Infiniti QX56
Intrepidation replied to Variance's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)
What's different about the exterior? All I know is it still has that ugly "hump" The front end doesn't look different enough o tell to me. The interior is an improvement, but that steering wheel is flat and ugly. -
Sure I can see why some people would take offense to driving vehicles from certain countries of origin that did some pretty horrible things in the past. However, I don't think that we should hold grudges against other countries. No country is perfect, certainly not us.

2008 Ford Focus
Intrepidation replied to Flybrian's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)
I see your point. Plus, I know someone who had a Focus 5-door wagon. Even with teh extra mass of teh wagon body style the 2.0 was still quite peppy and it was a fun car to drive...too bad he totaled it (supposedly, though I never saw) Yeah, but it's nice to see a coupe return to the small car lineup. -
This type of thread keeps appearing every now and then.
