The `95 Stealth didn't have clear tail lights...

It's official. Chrysler's up for auction...NOT?
Intrepidation replied to vrazzhledazzle's topic in Chrysler
Dodge and Jeep are far less damaged than the likes of Buick and Pontiac, and easily have more equity. Dodge is symbolized with performance and manly things, jeep is offroad, and for the most part the brands' models accurately represent those philosophies. Chrysler is the only brand I'd consider damaged, because it has no real mission. It's only slightly more upmarket than Dodge, and usually with worse values. If it were a premium brand it would be fine. You wanna talk outdated models? Name a Buick besides the Enclave that isn't based on an old platform? Most of Chrysler Groups product's are up to date. The only Dodge vehicles getting long in the tooth are the Caravan and Durango, and the new Caravan is on its way, the "oldest" Jeep is the Grand Cherokee. Chrysler's only real outdated model is the PT Cruiser, which is based off the old Neon platform. Chrysler's problem is not models, but mainly interior material quality (it seems they have build quality right, which is something GM is still working on), and they also need to ramp up the new V6 and more production of teh 6-speed. It's really not that hard to fix Chrysler, Daimler just doesn't wanna deal with it...they never have. -
Just like how you'd think GM would have thought to offer the 6-speed in at least one trim level of the Silverado, knowing the Tundra was going to debut with a 6-speed, but apparently they suck too much to figure such obvious things out.

Toyota picks Mississippi for Highlander SUV plant
Intrepidation replied to Robert Hall's topic in Toyota
Soon even the rednecks will be converted to import humpers! I mean their favorite sport has the Camry in it already. -
Oh, your GAWD! That is disgusting! It makes the Aztek look normal! Oh man it's like a bloated tadpole that was not beatwhen with an ugly stick, but the whole damn tree fell on it.
-
I saw something like this on TV once. One of those adult channels you get with the movie package. For the lonely man, or woman who loves to play with dolls as well as themselves!
-
The interior looks horribly dated...when is a redesign finally coming along?
-
Wow it does looks A&S Cadillac-y....Like a bloated and horribly misshapen BLS with a tumor the size of a horse.
-
Very handsome concept.
-
It does!

Even the rednecks are being swoon by Toyota.
-
That is the coolest thing I've ever seen!

And the 2nd gen Intrepid has soft areas on the upper dash, middle area of the passenger side dash, all armrests, and the upper door panels.
-
Dude, that is kinda scarey... What if the "ball vents" had little fans on them and you were wearing shorts one day... SNIP! Blood stains are a bitch to get out...no wonder why the idea never took off

.... :rotflmao: A threat is that? Have you had your eyes checked lately? The interior in my Dodge is far cleaner than that hideous interior. For example, the HVAC controls and the stereo are mounted flush with the center stack on the Intrepid. There's a difference between a "flowing dash" and a "melted dash". The Bonneville's interior has all of the grace and beauty of the Cavalier's. The 2.7L may have a reputation but at 176k miles mine is whisper quiet. I'm starting to wonder if people actually changed the oil at 3k miles or less and not at the (retarded) 7k miles the manual suggests if there'd be less issues. Let's not bring in the favorite pastime of C&G saying that "chrysl3r tr4nsm1ss10ns 4r3 t3h suck" Because both the Shadow and the Intrepid's trannies have outlasted the damn Toyota tranny. In regard to the hubcaps...well I paid $2,100 for my car, I'm not expecting ultra-stupid bling 30 inch wheels of f@#ktardedness. Anyway, in the Bonneville's defense, I have always liked the exterior (especially in GXP form without the stupid cladding). But that interior...nope. Nothing personal. However, you're making it personal, and I will get nasty if I need to, I listen to enough Chrysler bashing on this forum. Also, if you're gonna go "your car my car" interiors, I'll use MY car's interior.

What pisses me off is that they're willing to hang onto the retarded smart brand, which has never made a profit, but after a bad year they wanna sell of Chrysler. f@#k the Germans! -
DCX to swap Chrysler Group for stake in GM?
Intrepidation replied to DetroitNut90's topic in Chrysler
So Daimler, having not been satisfied with f@#king up Chrysler, wants to suck the life out of GM and f@#k it up (more) now? -
We owned 2 K-cars: an Aries wagon and a Reliant sedan. They were good little cars, and were bullet-proof as far as reliability was concerned. We got rid of the Aries because it rusted out, and we needed a car with more room (the back seats are not kid-friendly over 10 yrs). The engine was kept and put in a Spirit. I think the only time it ever broke down was at a gas station. The Reliant was sold/traded for the white `87 Shadow 2.2L Turbo. For their time they were good. I still know of 2 or 3 of them that people own, and one for sale that I see everyday on my way to and from school at a dealership.

The center stack is nicer than the G8's too, the guage pods plus the way it flows more gracefully. Both interiors are good but the subtle differences make me like this one better.

Will the Germans ever get electronics right? Oh well, at least they don't steer off the road.

...or is it like throwing a hotdog down hallway?

http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/1582/ The Dodge Viper has joined that exclusive club of cars that will top 250mph. In fact, the Hennessey Venom Twin Turbo, as this particular tuned Viper is called, is claimed to whup a Veyron's ass with a top speed of 255mph. Other vital statistics include a 1,000bhp 8.3-litre V10 engine with two turbos attached and 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds. Developed by American tuner Hennessey, the Venom comes with aerodynamic aids to keep it pinned to the ground at full tilt. These include a new front air dam and rear diffuser. There's also adjustable traction control and a heavy-duty rear differential to cope with the power. Despite the monstrous spec of the engine and performance, the Venom has leather-trimmed seats and a DVD navigation system, although there's also a five-point harness for when you take it to the track. All of this comes with a two-year warranty and a day's private driving tuition on a racing circuit. And the price? That's $225,000, which works out at a bargain £114,500 to make the Venom the most cost-effective way to 250mph on the planet.

Even though the Camry sells at a premium compared to similarly equipped domestic midsizers...They sell of perceived quality not lower price.

...and a 500 I think the A5 does something very unique. It bucks the trend of sharp lines and creases, and blocky shapes in favor of softer flowing lines like the best cars from the late 90's had. While I love the styling of say, the Charger, it's refreshing to see something graceful like this. Can't call a modern BMW graceful, that's for sure. The character line does remind me a little of the Elantra, but the big car wears it much better.

It looked better in the spy photos. Ford called and wants it's grill back.
