But if it "looks great" on top of "Quality, value, economy, and overall performance" then it's not just keeping up with the competition, it will have an edge. Good enough isn't good enough. It must be stunning and excellent in every category. That is how you gain sales.

This looks far better.

ocn...I see your point, maybe I'll try it sometime. Bleu cheese is nasty...sorry moldy cheese fans!

Wow, I'm honestly disappointed. I hate the shape of the tail lights...they look Korean...and the headlights/front end look like the Epica...it lost it's aggressiveness and it will loose the Aura's clean Euro-styling in favor of Korean. Hopefully those were part of the Photoshop chop....and it looks better than this, but so far I'm let down.

I like cheese to be creamy, and not too sharp. Who eats an apple and sharp cheddar as a dinner?
-
Oh I see, I thought that was a Salvage title (which is also for cars recovered from the junkyard correct?)
-
But if it were Photoshopped, why would it have tape over the tail lights?

When your work involves driving around all day, it hurts...even with a fuel efficient car. I may ask for a raise just to keep the balance in check

Like teh Eclipse made much waves in the first place? The Avenger probably sells more in a month than the Galant sells in a year Plus, the Avenger is at least unique...it doesn't look like a wannabe Camry.

Once more you are basing your statements on what? You haven't seen the vehicle yet, you can't make judgments on it. The GM vehicles offer 2 interiors and one of them is easily as good as the F-150's. You're basing the exterior looks on a purely subjective basis. Desirability is indeed what matters, which is why both GM and Dodge sell more of them than any other vehicle in their lineup. Ford is the one who has catching up to do. The F-150 lagged in power, safety and storage amenities when it debuted...these are things that most people want and use. Ford's next F-150 should indeed be very good, because they have to keep the likes of Toyota and Nissan from taking sales, but Dodge is responding the same way. They aren't going to let their best seller fall behind. Notice how you "dodged" (hahahaOMGZORZ) my counterpoint to your statement Ford being so different and the only one doing different things.

From what I saw it looked like a current gen F-150 with an extra door in the bed and a lot of camo on the nose...kinda like the Ram we see spy shots of. Ford also knows how to do pickups so well that in the current generation they forgot side-airbags, storage compartments, and a good powertrain in the F-150. Don't get me wrong, I like the F-150. It's handsome, and has my favorite truck interior. They do know how to build trucks, but so do Dodge and GM...so to just assume the vehicle will "blow away" the Dodge when neither has been unveiled yet is just silly.

Like a BMW?

BANGLE BUTT!!!!! That being said it looks very good for that style...save the ugly cut line. It should be a handsome devil.

300 bucks doesn't seem to be a big of deal in the grand scheme of things.

Just to let ya know CARBIX...that was an Equinox I was talking about not an HHR

Same goes for the Ram's styling. Personally, I think the best-looking of the new pickups is the Sierra Denali. The new HD's are a disappointment...I saw a Silverado HD a few weeks ago...the grill is too out of prortion...I don't like it. Except all the "big rig" styling cues the SuperDuty, Tundra, etc. are all inspired by the Ram. How do we know the F-150 will blow this away considering we've only seen trucks with just as much camo on them as the Ram so far?
-
That's not true, Chevy managed tof ix the Silverado. It was hideous inside and out before.
-
That's ridiculous, and on top of it they assjockey politician are whining because it could hurt business. So what? People's and their pet's safety is far more important. This should be a f@#king no-brainer. I hate China.

That's a fun read...especially this, another example of CR's poor testing methods:

Panel gaps, creaks and squeaks, and trim panels that are practically falling off (like that A-pillar) do matter, and people will notice. That is why they've been buying Japanese for years. Perception is everything. First we say "oh what it looks like under the hood doesn't matter" now you're trying to tell me interior craftsmanship doesn't matter...the place where we spend most of our time? As for the J-bodies...I laugh at the attempt at defending their quality. Their seats may be wear-resistant...but that means nothing if they are unreliable pieces of $h!...just ask BV. The same goes for Ford and Chrysler. Just "good enough" Doesn't cut it. They have to aim to be the best not for the current best. They can't build a great car but stop 3/4th of teh way. The Fusion could be a class leader if Ford would stick the new 3.5L in it and a Nav system...but they don't. The Avenger could be great if the interior had better materials, the engines had better transmission options and all models had the R/T's suspension.

When it goes on sale next summer, expect to see four all-new or revised engine choices. The base 215-hp/235lb-ft 3.7-liter V6 will be replaced with the 260-hp/265lb-ft 4.0-liter V6 used in the Dodge Nitro SUV. The Ram’s current 235-hp/300lb-ft 4.7-liter V8 gets the same makeover the 2008 Dodge Dakota received, boosting power to 300-hp/330lb-ft, and the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 will get a bump in displacement and power from current 345-hp/375lb-ft levels. A new Cummins V8 diesel motor will also be available. Both gas and diesel V8s will use 6-speed automatic transmissions. These are indeed impressive engines! If the base V6 gets the 5-speed and the rest get 6-speeds, the Ram may very well be the powertrain leader when it debuts. While I have always loved the big-rig styling, something new would be refreshing. Plus, I loved the nose of the Rampage concept...so it can only mean good things. If they can make an interior anywhere near as nice as Ford's or GM's they'll be in good shape. Funny...just the other day I was asking Chis about this truck

You forgot to mention he has no life, as he spends it pulling import bias loads out of his ass.

5 Minutes after I leave the barbershop today, BOOM!

Why condemn the building? It can have an barber-industry first drive-thru!
