  1. At this point now I will be surprised if there is a nex gen challnger. or maybe it goes back to front drive! R/T! Turismo! GLH! Shelby! The market is not driving these changes, it is outside forces. I like electrics but it is now starting to get forced down our throats. should compete well with the next Camaro! inspired by citation X11! Front drive, electric option and look at the improved visibility! just what everyone is asking for!
  2. too bad this unique door design can't fix the ugly. conversely, the suicide door might be a nice feature for those who want to load kids into car seats in the back.
  3. and it could have duked it out with the ATS for who had less rear seat room.
  4. Yes, fortunately its as you describe, they will come up on the screen. You gotta catch em before they go away. thanks for the advice on the fuses. should be worth a try. there is a settings menu where you can set whether the heated seats and wheel come on when starting. We have it set for that and it is a huge convenience. ALthough the heated wheel is so toasty that is when i go hunting for a means to turn it off. To not just have the switch on the wheel for that is frustrating.
  5. BLS was probably the closest Cadillac has ever gotten since to attempting Cimarron 2.0. And they left it in Europe but i can bet there was some beancounter in the US that wanted to bring it over. I would have been fine with it if they had brought it here, though
  6. Lots of big incentives on Acadia right now since the corporate twin / blazer came out. I even got an email from a dealer for a 199 a month lease for an Acadia SLE FWD.
  7. New explorer and aviator will have top of the line 400hp engines. Gm’s brass loves to put a common level v6 in their XT5 and tell the buyer. Oh that’s good enough.
  8. FCA is serving the needs of some customers for basic stuff like nice size interior, good features, and good option packaging. Some things GM doesn't get these days.
  9. Loving the Pacifica! The v6 pentastar in this thing is nice and smooth, revs nice, very good power. Much nicer to drive than the GM 3.6. The maligned 9 speed, no issues, tranny is smooth too. Nice ride and drive, this is a great family vehicle. Why Chrysler FCA is not proliferating this chassis and engine to some new Dodge and Chrysler crossovers and other vehicles is really insane. One huge beef that is becoming more and more irritating. There are no dash buttons for the heated seats and no steering wheel button for the steering wheel. To have to turn that on and off through the touch screen all the time is a MAJOR annoyance. The CarPlay hasn't worked for awhile now too. Been trying to find what could possibly get it working again, but all things with the phone i have tried have not made a difference. Will have to bring it to the dealer soon. I wish this had a real console, armrest and traditional shift lever. The rotary shift knob is efficient and easy to use, but i just prefer the typical shift lever on the console with a real armrest and console instead of the folding armrest off the seat.
  10. Cadillac I am afraid is merely a marketing arm and a trim package to Barra, Reuss, and the whole of GM leadership. It's a 'brand' with whatever attributes that want you to believe that it has. Rather than having the product define the attributes, they just want to spit it whatever they build and try to mind fu-- you with marketing and PR what the enhanced value of a Cadillac that they want you to believe. XT5 is salvageable. Give it a new stunning interior, and put say, the twin turbo six in it. I would even be for them moving to a good turbo four in the lesser versions if it is good and can move the vehicle. That new turbo four in the XT4 i felt was actually pretty smooth and revved nice. If they can tune that thing up to 300hp and pop it into the XT5, I would be jiggy with that because GM's ubiquitous 3.6 is just sort of there and needs work, at least in the XT5.
  11. You know I had driven SRX in the past also that surprisingly to me were more interesting to drive. The SRX felt more premium. I think the XT5 needs an improved powertrain, improved interior, and ride and handling. That said, the version of the XT5 I drove was more of a basic version.
  12. reminded me of a funny moment last evening. late weeknight i pulled into a total wine superstore in a well to do suburb. there was about 10 cars in the parking lot total, and 3 of those were nearly new Audi Q(insert number here). 2 of them still were new with no plates. I think Audi has been mostly reduced to their Q's. A6, A7, A8 are definitely rare birds in these parts anymore. Audi Q's must be where its at. I always sort of dug those Mercedes hatches of that vintage.
  13. them werkers best durn be joinin the You Yoon. them big corperashuns just want to hyre and fyre at will
  14. Whoops. Sorry I got the SexT6 and the dodge Dakota journey confused
  15. the Blackwing v8 has renewed the interest in this car. A caddy with a v8? Yup, that's what generates interest.
  16. I sort of believed this is how it would play out.
  17. Sorry for the crudity, but I don't do this often
  18. i only asked because proportionally for styling a few extra inches would look better. GM platforms must not have any flexibility. just judging by what i see casually in traffic its more like 50-65 yo women
  19. let me guess, that's plood.....GM finding new places for plood
  20. will this headlight trim have the exact same part number on the CT5
  21. why wasn't this platform flexible enough to stretch the wheelbase even 2, 3, 4 inches......
  22. and more of a muffin top hanging off the back end.
  23. cadillac needs to understand they can't just put plain old 3.6 in all their cars. they have to circulate more of that twin turbo 3.0 around the horn, if even as optional. at a minimum cadillac should have an all new completely knockout interior in this thing in the end it still comes down to gramma and grampa wanted an XT5 with a third row.... in fairness, some or lot of elderly do have smaller garages and can't handle vehicles with larger wheelbases quite as well. I love the Enclave but admit for some folks this as a three row may be easier to park and pilot to the pharmacy and back.
