  2. $h!, Pantho, I thought this was a thread about your homeland. Darn. BTW, is Prague worth visiting? How are the prices? How is the food? Are the locals friendly to tourists?

  5. I like the motto: KISS - Keep it Simple, Stupid. (Not you or anyone on C&G)The other engines do not have the track record. We just don't know how they fare over the years. I, for one, don't like getting a new car that often...not where I choose to spend my money. Yes, Paulie, it comes up a lot, don't it? We (C&G) have a real division on this issue. We simply have to agree to disagree.
  6. Good for you, Olds Guy. It's people like you and WEALTHY conspicuous consumers that keep the General humming. Not me with my longevity trip.

  8. Did I see the word lesbians? Ooh, yeah, baby, I LOVE lesbians. Yeah, right. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. Crocmeister, don't get me going. I'm with Flybry on this one. There is nothing nicer than getting into a car, day after day, year after year, knowing that it will crank over and take you where you need to go safely, economically in terms of consumption and ease of service and without any hassles whatsoever. For a quarter of a million miles and then some, if the oil is changed every 3000 miles or so. If it works, don't fix it. (In fact, the Series I to Series II transition with the attendant changes to the manifolds caused problems. I would even wait a couple of years for Series III drive-by-wire to be ascertained as being trouble-free rather than having purchased in 2004 when it came out). Leave the 3800 around for those of us who want it as a base engine. For you boys (and girls, such as newbie Lauren or our Stace) who need DOHC/VVT/HF and higher repair bills, go for it...check the option box for the other engines.

  13. Fat chicks = third leg doesn't work. Period. Haven't seen the license plate frame around lately that says: NO FAT CHICKS. That used to be more popular.
  14. Don't mind me, Enzora. I was just rambling and thinking "oh..oh"... I could be inviting this thread to go down that path as so many others do...this is C&G, after all.
  15. Cars are both mechanical and sensual. I think that women can relate to the sensual part of the vehicle. Men probably relate better to the mechanical part. Now, if women relate to the mechanical part a lot, their butch quotient may be high. Now, if men relate to the sensual part a lot, well...let's not go there...let's not take this thread there. Seriously, cars arouse the senses. Men and women's senses can be aroused. So, therefore, why shouldn't women like to talk about cars?
  16. I think we can safely assume that if a big divergence comes into the picture (looks, success, etc.) from where a couple started out, it WILL create problems. One of the two feels he or she is getting the shaft. BTW, what does MILF mean? I don't have all the acronyms down.

  21. The comment that Buick aspires to be the "American Lexus" is so "also-ran." Unfortunately, the success of Lexus and Toyota, and the shift in buyer behavior which hat has brought about, has prompted this defensive response. It would be much nicer to unashamedly and "offensively" espouse the credo of "Premium American Motorcars." I still think that the problem lies in the perceptions of those who were "screwed" 5 to 20 years ago by domestic (including GM) products. Despite recent advances in quality and longevity, these advancements are falling on deaf ears. As the old adage says, "Once bitten, twice shy." Sorry, but GM was not "holistically" visionary several decades ago - quality, product overlaps, customer loyalty, lean and mean, and on and on (Thank you, Roger Smith). I hope they can turn the ship around. I plan to stay on for the ride, never having driven anything but a GM vehicle.

  24. Chargerino, your sense of humor is pretty developed. O.C., seriously, we hope you feel better soon.
  25. Yep, I knew it, it was one of 3 or 4 "pattern" answers. Thanks.
