  1. Order of preference: Acapulco - only because it is the mildest in terms of "fire hydrant needed" factor - it is good, go try it, Crocmeister. El Torito Chevy's Also, "On the Border Grill" - not ubiqutous - is pretty good One of them has the sweet corn mush that is delicious!
  2. That's hilarious. But where is she now? And where is Linda Blair now? Is there some web site or other place that tells what stars who were top billed are now doing? Here's a funny one (along the same lines): About 3 years ago, I wanted to ride the new subway in LA. So I went downtown and took the Red Line out to Wilshire/Western. I was the only non-minority in the train car. I wasn't uncomfortable, but it was kind of weird. At any rate, I thought I should take a picture of the subway car (which I didn't do), sort of National Geographic style and the caption ought to have read: "Where have you gone, Maureen McCormick"?
  3. Desculpe. Otra vez. Gerardo do Mexico explica que era uma batalha com a Francia.
  4. The LaCrosse IS a good, competent car that will last a long time, particularly with the 3800 V6. However, to crank it up a notch, it needs the following: 1. Front end design reworked - the upright front oval is bland...so much so that, form far away, it almost looks like a last-gen LeSabre is approaching. To make it contemporary, the grilled needs to look slightly more Lucerne-like. (Side silhouette is very nice and rear treatment is also very balanced) 2. Telescoping wheel standard on base model. Leather wrapped steering wheel standard on base model. 3. Nicer, thicker cloth materials with more texture and less like mousefur. 4. A slightly larger pod in front of the driver...not by much, but it's TOO compact. 5. The wood appliques in the dash finish out in an almost triangular fashion, this is even worse on the Lucerne. They need to be relatively squarer, with a radius at each end. 6. Ignition in dash. 7. Light switch/dial is too small...almost as if it was made for a woman with small hands. It looks like it will break off soon enough.
  6. Hey, today is Cinco de Mayo! Obviously, it's more of an event in the West, particularly California, as our ties and proximity to Mexico are obvious. Planning on doing anything? I might actually go to a happy hour with some co-workers but I think all Mexican restaurants will be quite busy being that it's Friday AND a "special" day.

  8. If it would be a "second" car to keep miles off of the "primary" car, then easy -- it would be a 98 or 99 Olds Intrigue with a 3800 V6 and, ideally, owned by a retired couple.
  9. constipation
  10. Chargerino, aren't you in school at about this time?
  11. "Avanti, pezzo di merda Italiano." (the gender of the adjective needs to agree with pezzo, which is masculine). Ask Paolino.
  12. Y O M O M M A, Chargerino!
  13. Interesting, Bobo. Just like the Beverly Hillbillies Mansion was at 701 Bel Air Road and, guess what, I think that it has been torn down or modified extensively because you can't see it anymore as you once could. I tried to show it to my cousin who was visiting in summer of 2004. At any rate, something tipped me off that the Brady House was NOT at a Burbank address. The street signs would have been forest green if it was in Burbank. Instead, they were mostly dark blue with some white - standard City of L.A. graphics, of which Studio City is a "neighborhood." I'll go look at it next time I'm down there.

  15. It's in Burbank ??? It screamed West Valley. I don't really like it. The nasty stone and the vertical board and batten....I don't think so. I always liked the "Bewitched" house better. It looked more substantial with all the brick.
  16. Extendable sun visors, typically found on Buicks - mine has them. I used it today.
  17. Clear spacing is not to exceed 4" - a 4" sphere cannot pass through two balusters.By the way, what neighborhood is the Brady house in? I've often heard Chatsworth. I'd sure like to know.
  18. Ebonics
  19. Numerous: A separate wiper stalk as on Grand Prix A coin tray to the left of the steering wheel Coin holder in the center console A sunglass area and garage door opener area in the overhead console A clip for parking passes, etc. as on Malibu Expanding cup holders that can hold jumbo cups A telescoping steering wheel Ignition key in the dashboard Battery under the rear seat as on Bonneville Blue illumination at night Switchable reading lamps in the rear compartment I am sure I can come up with more.
  20. delightful
  21. If you buy/trade as many cars as you do, you can't complain about money woes. Be cheap ... like me!
  22. doubtful
  23. That engine is sort of the midpoint between the 350 and the 260 and I am almost sure is hewn out of the same block (different bore). It, too, is super long-lived though I have never owned one.
  24. not many (people)
