  1. No. Not at all. It was clearly in the gray family. It was a warm gray as opposed to a cool gray. In fact, I wondered why the color charts called for it to be blended with the natural interior. It looked terrible. When they teamed it with the gray interior, it looked great. BTW, that color is no longer around. It would have looked good on an MC.
  2. I don't have a problem with that tan. This chick I knew growing up described it as "mink." Either way, I think it is subtle and fairly tasteful. I don't think I would opt for it. The tans/golds I don't like are the ones that look like urine samples! What about grays? Chevrolet had an Impala/MC color about 3 years ago called Cappuccino Frost Metallic that I really liked. I think Mitsubishi has a similar color. I'd own that.

  4. Wait, wait...we need to hit a midpoint here. Yes, look at how most of us drool over the good stuff: cast iron Rocket V8s or Buick V6s, sumptuous interiors, more color choices, a quiet boulevard ride and a good dose of torque. HOWEVER, it needs to be executed with today's advancements in quality control. That old combo of ingredients with mid 80s quality control and (lack of) longevity is not a good thing. That's what got GM in trouble. I, too, want some of those things back. I will never forget the interior of my 84 Cutlass Supreme Brougham ("the little Cutlass that could") and the inherent handling balance of a RWD car. However, the second Cutlass gave less problems than the first and my 92 Regal's reliability blows both Cutlasses away. - how do I shrink this, anyway? Blend the old and the new. I don't want an American car that feels Asian or European .... that's not why I drive GM and it's not why I post on this forum.

  6. Hard to tell. Is it really related to engine rpms? Could be something in the front drive assembly, like a hub assembly or CV joint? Is it more of a knocking or a whirring? A rythmic knocking (but down in a wheelwell) is more like a wheel bearing while whirring sounds more expensive. I would like to think it is NOT in your engine. The 3300 is the little brother of the 3800 and should be hassle free, especially at that LOW mileage. How does the transmission shift? Other possibilities are: something in the pulleys, a water pump or something that is tied into the serpentine belt. Before I go any further, you don't let on as to how you MAINTAIN your car. You ask questions, but: 1) how often do you change your oil, and 2) how often do you have your transmission fluid and filter changed? Doing this no more than 3,000 and 20,000 miles apart ensures long component life. I just rolled over 224,000 this morning. Baby the car, P -- it's a cheaper way to go.

  10. My sentiments exactly. Metallic light blues are flattering for almost any car.

  14. Is this a light or a dark blue? I think that the Lucerne would look sweet in an Ice/Steel Metallic Blue with a darker blue interior!

  16. Folks: We've already seen the ordering guides and the new color lists. Surfacing on the horizon for larger cars is a color called Midnight Amethyst Metallic. In reality, it's already here -- on Cobalt, as a minimum. It's interesting, but possibly trendy. It can look somewhat grape-like. It reminds me of the mid-90s Thunderbird color that's purple and reads differently under different light. I guess I'm pissed because they shortchange us on variants of standard colors or fail to find a good shade of them and then insert trandier colors (this year Amethyst and 2 years ago Fusion Orange Metallic - I have seen NEW 04 and 05 GPs in that color still sitting on lots). Resale is an issue when you have a color that alienates buyers unless you plan to run the car into the ground and that's a moot issue. Any colors that irk you?
  17. I don't know if they are weird...maybe just different. I have friends who like trucks and HATE cars. I'm the other way around. In fact, I may be narrow minded: Cutlass Supreme coupe to Cutlass Supreme Brougham coupe to Regal coupe...that's it. I have exclusively driven GM mid-size coupes and they have served me exceedingly well. Weird? no. Rigid and "Old School" (courtesy of PB)? Maybe.

  19. No. Sou Italiano. Ate logo!
  20. I'm sure it is. They do a good chunk of their business at that time. Good luck on finals, BTW.
  21. Order of preference: Acapulco - only because it is the mildest in terms of "fire hydrant needed" factor - it is good, go try it, Crocmeister. El Torito Chevy's Also, "On the Border Grill" - not ubiqutous - is pretty good One of them has the sweet corn mush that is delicious!
