  1. One thing I've noticed is that the 'May the Best Car Win' ads are showing up here in Canada, and not just on channels based in the US either. I can only assume that this means that GM took the hint that having two separate advertising campaigns for both countries was plain dumb; this is good because the Canadian commercials were typically borefests.
  2. Paint ftw. All this time, Rick's been coolfacing the nation... and we didn't even know.
  3. Sushi's OK, but having eaten enough of it, it's not really the party in your mouth that many people make it out to be.
  4. It was only a while ago that I mentioned to DF that I'd noticed you hadn't been around lately. Cool to see you still around.
  5. I've Been through Illinois (Chicago too) and California's big cities twice, and they've got nothing on Quebec drivers, or Vancouver drivers for that matter.
  6. I knew he was supposed to play a mean piano, and in private, he's actually very affable. Still, it's a side that's not seen too often, and you have to admit, he does a pretty good job of singing.
  7. Looking through the forum rules and TOS, I didn't come across anything that stated "Tits or GTFO" , so I can only assume that she is an 'attention whore' .

    So...

Agreed! Plus, it'd be great to get a C&G member's perspective on it. Here's hoping you can pull it off!

  10. Registering C&G on Twitter? Wow, now that's just petty.
  11. Boy that must've been an interesting trip to the pharmacy. I wonder if he asked for the ones that are for those especially 'rainy days.'
  12. Holy crap! Shame that's not my way or I'd already be creating a project thread about turning it into a GN clone!
  13. I think GM deserves a round of applause for this. Especially since it's coming from Edmunds.
  14. I'd go with either of those 80's F-Bodies, especially the red Trans-Am. They're not uncommon vehicles so you won't wince if they get a little beat up in daily driving, and they have a multitude of parts and a following.
  15. I hope this announcement will help soothe the feelings of those who still believe that the government bought GM to force us all to drive two cylinder shoeboxes on wheels.
  16. You sure you want to dance with another old car? You already have the Cutlass, and after the issues with the Monte pertaining to finances, I'd think it'd be smarter to let this one slide and grab something that will be much more reliable for daily driving.
  17. This guy comes to mind.
  18. Every so often I like to remark that this place, for all its turbulence what with the economy, GM's restructuring, and differences in political opinion, is still an excellent discussion board. Here's what a good chunk of e-forums can be like. For what it's worth, the article that people are commenting on is about CPU performance. http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i...p;cp=1#comments Warning, there's some naughty words, and you might find yourself questioning evolution, and/or creationism, and whether or not humanity is doomed for eternity.
  19. I've never really understood the gripes about the Camaro interior. I've found it to be perfectly sufficient for the vehicle, and if you're a stickler for plastic softness, you're likely not a Camaro customer anyways. The gauges are too big and distract from the interior?! Gee whiz buddy, I'd be hoping you're looking at them, and not ogling the hot 'D-Pad' buttons for the climate control system when on the road. http://image.motortrend.com/f/new-cars/cam...ro-interior.jpg I'm not entirely sure where Lego blocks come into play here...
  20. This system will likely do just that. Fewer people will need to be used to scan plates, and will instead be able to focus their eyes on what's going on, on the road. License plates are there for all to see, and they are issued by the government for purposes such as this.
  21. Criminals and thieves also make a mockery of private property. Fortunately, a system like this may help to catch them while driving stolen vehicles. Agreed. The big brother argument is invalid because the people operating these vehicles could very well be endangering other people's lives while they drive. Libertarians maintain that people can do what they want, as long as it doesn't cause risk to others, and driving an unlicensed, unregistered or non-roadworthy vehicle does just that. It's not as if police don't already do this anyways, only now it'll be more efficient. That means they'll be able to be used much more effectively.

    WHY??

  23. I don't have the best sleeping habits, but I always manage to get 7-8 hours. Some things I've done to help me sleep better is to drink milk before bed, and use earplugs; although that might be a problem for your significant other when it comes to alarm volume. Another thing I do is not use the computer an hour before bed. Instead, I just lie down and watch the news on TV. For some reason, the computer kept me awake, whereas the TV on a low volume mellows me out. When it comes to my mind wandering while awake in bed, I try to think about Intel P45 boards. Puts me out real quick.
  24. I doubt this particular potato chip wants tortilla chips crossing the border.
