1. I don't see any issues. The brand is well-known and its recent products are decent. You might be able to knock a couple bucks off it. Used monitors in the 17 - 24" range are typically a buyers market - they just sit and collect dust after being replaced with something newer.
2. As long as a monitor has a VGA port, it'll be compatible. Craigslist or a similar classified like Kijiji would be your best bet if your budget is low. People often give away monitors like the one you have. You can always post a 'want to buy' ad in the appropriate section on a classified site and see what you get. If you want a flat-screen monitor, you can can pick up an older one for a song on classifieds. Alternatively, you can see if there are any computer or electronics recyclers in your area. They may have options. It's a shame you're on the other end of the continent. I have a trio of 20" monitors from 2008'ish in very good condition that I need to unload and I'd send one for next to nothing. But shipping would be prohibitive.
3. I'd support rejigging this place to a Metallica fan forum. Providing it's 'tablesandcheers.com.'
4. I think the Canon T3 from Target is a good bet: http://www.target.co...c_qi_detaillink The camera is well reviewed and has excellent image quality. But the price isn't anything special. However, I think going the used route may be a better option for semi-pro stuff. I've taken high-speed, sports pictures with a 6.1MP Pentax DSLR from 2005 and the quality between it and my more modern Canon T1i is negligable. The money on the camera body can go towards good glass. This would be a very good pick: http://www.ebay.com/...=item4604816c65 Under 400 shutter actuations, so it's barely used. It doesn't have a lens. But, you can find a nice multipurpose Canon or third-party (Tamron or Sigma) lens. Also, a macro lens that lets you take extreme 1:1 close-ups of dash materials, switchgear, detailing, stitching, etc. would be beneficial. http://thethrottle.t...macro-pictures/
5. I don't disagree. But I think it can be argued that BMW built its brand (in North America) on the back of the 3-Series and its predecessors. Infiniti had a flagship called the Q45. Nobody bought it and Infiniti was regarded as a lame-duck. The goodwill generated after the G35's debut in 2003 is what led Infiniti to become a real luxury car player. My belief is that the people that don't see Cadillac being an 'equal' brand because it lacks a flagship, won't see it being an 'equal' brand if it has one, either.
6. 3-Series buyers don't care about the 7. C-Class drivers classify the S as the preferred method of conveyance for dictators. I'd rather Cadillac put all its dollars into its bread and butter vehicles. Manufacture every Cadillac with the quality and engineering deserving of a flagship before spending money on a totally new project that will not sell in today's economy.
7. Joy! A proprietary button on steering wheels that will be meaningless for over half the car-buying public!
8. Gord's Gold!
9. I don't see how abandoning one of the wealthiest geo-political/economic entities on Earth is good business strategy. Even if it's undergoing some economic malaise like everyone else on the planet is, anyway. Especially the United States of Hurrdurrica.
10. Fantastic looking vehicle and my family would love one. But then that gorgeous interior will just catch fire when the radio starts spitting sparks and the airbag randomly explodes in your face, causing your bruised facial flesh to then melt into a cupholder!
11. Probably a Buell 1125R/CR by the end of the summer. I've no real desire for any other four-wheel vehicle than my dependable Sierra.
12. Agreed. This is a type of vehicle Chevy needs now (Tru 140s?) to appeal to younger customers. Heck, Pontiac should've had something like this ~5-7 years ago as a modern day Fiero.
13. I didn't know I put such a contentious issue on the table.
14. http://vancouver.24h...wenn-story.html I guess you could say they`re having trouble putting food on the table.
15. It looks about as exciting as dishwater, so I don't see there being much of a market for it. Especially when the Charger is available. Even in red, the Caprice makes the Lexus ES350 look incredible.
16. Or, it can simply be that GM does not have a suitable Hybrid drive train for the XTS. The Volt's is too underpowered and not particularly adaptable use the 3.6 V6 as the ICE. A BAS-II system ala Buick LaCrosse does not do enough to be worth marketing. An all new system for the XTS does not not have enough volume to make a reasonable business case on its own. The XTS could have been the springboard for a new hybrid system that would then be spread to other vehicles, just like the CUE system. Again, the XTS was pitched as a sumptuous, techno-cruiser for people that want a comfy ride and plenty of toys. Similar to the Phaeton. Not implementing a new hybrid system just feels like a missed opportunity.
17. A bit of a shame. Cadillac had the vehicle pegged as a techno tour-de-force in its concept form, so an advanced hybrid model would have made sense.
18. Which is necessary because you'll likely be spending a lot of time inside the RR while waiting for roadside assistance.
19. Both would be good points if you actually could drive the Range Rover for more than 100 miles before limping it back into the service department. Again.
20. You didn't happen to recommend 'Seafoam' products to your customer, did you?
21. Did they get the colour from an 80's bathroom tile scheme?
