I don't see why people would be upset at this deal. At least there's one company that sees value in Chrysler, and I think it's certainly better than the brand being acquired by the Chinese. Plus, it can give Chrysler some unique, and interesting small cars... something that they haven't had, since like, ever?

If GM gets out of Canada, which is highly unlikely anyways, it'd just be one more reason for Canadians to buy from other brands like Toyota.

No, because it'll help destroy what's left of the battered Ontario/Quebec manufacturing base, and economy, which will in turn impact American States like Vermont who do almost 90% of their trade with Canada.

This car used to be parked outside one of my dad's apartment buildings, and although it was an I6, I was always enamoured with it. However, the owner never put it for sale, moved, and I hadn't seen it for the past year. Now it's on Craigslist, and I'm wondering if it's worthwhile checking out, because it'd be a bit of a drive. Last I saw it, it had surface rust, but to what extent escapes me. It's also a two speed auto, so it'll have a hard time keeping up with a Geo Metro.
