  1. Damn, I totally meant to put the FD3S 7 in my list. I wrote it down last night, and then forgot this morning. Hmm, might need to make some revisions.
  2. That's part of why I like these threads so much! It forces you to look into and learn about cars you never knew existed to fit the roles you like. I just learned of something a little bit ago that I will definitely use in a future thread.
  3. Got my list sorted out- Suzuki Samurai- Got to have something for some off-road fun. Alfa 4C Spyder- Back road and track fun. Fiesta ST- My DD. Early 356 Coupe- Sunday cruiser, impossibly gorgeous. Audi (B6 Gen) A4 S-Line- Wife's DD.

It must be under both units of measurement. Same when we get to 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, etc, etc. I will clarify this further in future threads. Alright, I'm honestly kind of confused.. are you actually looking for 1.9L and below or 1999cc and below? Like is a Focus ST's "2.0" valid or not? Okay, I'll make it easy moving forward. Forget cc's and only go by liters. For this thread, 1.9 and below.
  5. Holy crap, why can't you just go along with it. You'll be able to pick all of those same cars next time!! Besides, it really upsets the option pool in the lower classes.

  8. So since the others have gone fairly well so far, I figured it was time to roll out the Dream Garage Threads. These were always very popular over at MT, and I hope they get a lot of posts and stir up discussion here, too. I'm going to start with a series that will have many installments, but there will be a variety of different themes in the future. The basic rules are largely the same so, this is an easy one to participate in. Here they are- 1)You have 5 choices maximum. And preferably minimum. 2)They must be production vehicles. 3)Cars from any era and market are allowed. 4)These are your ONLY vehicles. For the displacement-specific threads like these, there will be an additional requirement. In this case- 5)Your choices must have under 2.0 liters/2,000 cc's of displacement. Gas, hybrid, or diesel is allowed, but it MUST be under 2.0. Have fun. And remember, pics are highly encouraged.

  10. Even from a stand still? That's hard to believe because of the AWD vs RWD. Are the turbos that big that there is all sorts of lag as well? I would have thought the lighter weight, AWD, and low end turbo tq would have made it feel quicker This was a 991.1 C2. So pre-turbo. I was very surprised by sluggish it felt. Still amazing to drive, though! Because it's the only metric certain people understand even if it is just as dumb a metric as peak horsepower expressed without RPM. Ok, fair enough. But understanding something that has little relevance in application doesn't mean much.
  11. 0-60 times mean dick for how a car feels in the real world. How on Earth are so-called enthusiasts STILL forgetting this? Look at a standard 911's 0-60 time. It's quicker than a lot of much higher powered cars. But out on the streets, it feels worlds slower than a Charger RT. I know, I just drove the two back to back last week.

  14. Yeah, having a warranty on German cars is a huge piece of mind. The warranty on my 335i paid for itself in one repair.
  15. This is a very nice, and quite frankly, unneeded upgrade. The Highlander was already near the top of this segment, and the power bump and styling updates are just nice bonuses.
  16. Drop the hybrid AWD system and put a manual in there, and you could be on to something.
  17. For me, 458 all the way. More alluring, more direct and pure, better looking, and more prestige. Easy choice for me. That said, if I upwards of 200 grand to drop on a supercar-lite, I'm buying a 6MT Gallardo 550-2, which can be had for well under 200 these days. I've always loved the design, I love the analog nature of it, and the rarity is just the cake on top.
  18. So since the last thread went well, this was another series I used to do over at MT. Speaking of which, they made this an easy one with their main piece over there being a kinda-comparison of the new Acura supercar to the much-loved 458 Italia. For those interested- http://www.motortrend.com/news/new-acura-nsx-or-used-ferrari-458/ So the premise is simple, if you have ~220K burning a whole in your pocket, which do you buy, the new NSX or a used 458 Italia? If you want to throw in an alternate answer in ADDITION to your pick, feel free to do so, but at least answer the topic question. Thanks.
  19. I was quite impressed by what I saw of the new Continental. Much more alluring that I had anticipated. Didn't get to sit in it, though.
  20. Hellcat is awesome, it's just too big and heavy for my liking. Dealer down the road from me has a white and purple Hellcat both, and they look sick.
  21. Damn, that looks incredible. This is by far the best representation of this design yet. The proportions and size are just spot-on.
  22. Actually, looks like it's going to be an M2 for me. After going to the configurator, the GT350R w/ Tech Pack puts me about $200 over the price cap. I won't break my own rules, and I couldn't have a car sans radio and whatnot, so it's out.
  23. Yeah, it doesn't have to be a direct competitor, but it does need to be a sporty coupe/roadster of some sort.
  24. Think I'd do a Shelby GT350R. A lightly optioned 718 Boxster would probably be close second. We'll my local Cadillac has a few unsold CTS-V coupes still, lovely but yes they are new but not current year. Do we have to stay new with current year? Just trying to figure out the game. Yes, sorry I should have specified there. Must be most recent MY of that vehicle on sale. Also must have official pricing.
