  1. XTS is what I consider to be Cadillacs only full size sedan. So if you have the ATS-L that puts it in the size of XTS from a length stand point especially since there is only 3 inches difference between wheel bases.
  2. The picture here makes this SUV / CUV look more like a mini van.
  3. I wonder if they think this would eat into their SUV/CUV and Full size sedan sales?
  4. Happy Z day to You!!!
  5. Or stop having Union Leader Hacks that steal hard working Americans money and give very little back and enforce the Federal laws including informing each American of their rights to negotiate for fair pay, benefits, etc. So many want to be lazy, yet there is a reason you find no unions in the High Tech industry. We are more than able to negotiate for a fair package and if we do not like what they offer, we go some place else. No need to pay someone for what I am already promised by law and can negotiate for myself.
  6. I agree I love the over all look, the tires are great for off road adventure. Wonder also if this is a true FWD, 4x4 with RWD assist or an AWD setup with Low gearing. Be interested in seeing how this does and if any parts of it come to the US.
  7. Fox news had this cool picture and video of the new 2015 Volvo E-Drive. Seems this 2 liter 4 cylinder engine with electric drive assist is to replace their full engine line up according to the news story. They say this powertrain will come in a 2.0 and 2.5 Liter size and allow them to use a standard 4 cylinder powertrain with turbo's and superchargers to power all their auto's. Interesting approach to their lineup. Do you think this will still allow them to be considered a luxury maker or more of a mid luxury level Buick competitor? I thought the video was interesting and raises many questions of how people will perceive the future. In my mind it also shows that GM was way ahead of the world with engine designes on small engines before the world was ready to embrace them.
  8. In searching GM.com and Chevy.com one would hope to find these nuggets, but GMAuthority is stating that the 2015 Tahoe and Suburban will get a dedicated Z71 package much like the Silverado lineup. This comes from the press release photo of the hands free tailgate image. Confirmation was done by them here.
  9. Watching the news brought me via multiple links to this Autoblog story about the Chevy Niva. More pictures here. Chevy Release translated: Chevrolet premieres at the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2014: Tahoe and Niva 08/27/2014 - The world premiere of the concept of a new generation of Chevrolet Niva - European premiere of the Chevrolet Tahoe Moscow . "Every year, the demand for SUVs. For example, since 2009 in the Russian SUV sales have increased by almost 200%. It is worth noting that in many ways this trend shows a qualitative change in the level and way of life of motorists. Chevrolet, in turn, tries to keep track of such changes on the market and to keep up with the times, - says Alexander Migal, Managing Director of Chevrolet Russia. Currently Chevrolet model line includes a wide range of SUVs and crossovers. Today we are proud to present two vehicles that are the true embodiment of the American character and spirit of Chevrolet ». 10. WOW, MB just ReBooted Dumb and Dumber without any actual humor. What a waste of time and money just to probably justify some over hyped Marketing dweeb who really is clueless about the SUV/CUV market.
  11. Hope the gas tank does not get spider webs other wise ugly recall. LOL Just saw a Donked 1986 Monte Carlo. Why oh Why do they do this, it just makes no sense to me.
  12. Union morons looking to cash in on the hard work of others while giving very little. I hope both union efforts fail!
  13. Cool, Wish you all the best for a safe fun road trip, productive to boot.
  14. Sweet Job, Nothing like letting that Beast of a 105HP motor breath easily. Nice Work Balthazar.
  15. Wonder if it will eventually become retail first floor with apartments above and parking with a park for the apartment dwellers. I could see that going in here.
  16. Having long term drove the CTS with the 2.0T engine, I would say dump the Turbo crap 4 banger and use the NA V6. MPG was lousy and the turbo lag even in sport mode was very noticable. Not luxury expectation at all. So My engine List would be as Follows: 2.0L Fuel Economy engine 3.6 NA V6 3.6 TT V6 LT1 V8
  17. I agree. With the Ram being a truck I just don't think it will need to be advertised much for buyers to know it exists. I think that specific market has a more powertrain savy customer base and people pay attention to what is being offered without advertising dollars being spent to make them aware. In the case of my Cruze and the Grand Cherokee, most people aren't going to be coming into the dealership looking for a diesel. Either the dealership or the OEM need to make the consumer aware that it exists and what its benefits are. Unfortunately, it appears the OEM's can't afford to or won't pay for the advertising. That leaves it up to the dealer. Now your potential market has already shrunk just to people that actually come through one of your dealerships doors and what is the incentive for the dealership to push the diesel option? Yes, they want to sell vehicles with higher transaction prices so they make more money but I'd venture a guess that it is much easier to do that with "luxury" content than with a diesel engine. A dealer's primary goal is always going to be a quick, sure sale. Honestly, I almost wonder if they hope diesel passenger cars fail. That way they can say, "Well, we tried and nobody bought them." Kind of a self fulfilling prophecy where they went in to it thinking "It's not going to sell in the U.S. but we will give it a try anyway" and then since they don't think it will succeed why spend money advertising it? This is idiot thinking to expect a product to fail. We need to Eject these people from GM.
  18. Interesting Hammer look for the headlights. Still not a Thor ride in my book, but a pleasant enough conservative looking auto.
  19. Glad to see this and that GM is dealing with it in an open transparent way. I am also happy to see just how low this number is considering people I know that said it would be in the thousands or 10's of thousands. This is much lower.
  20. Good to know, I always wondered from an engineering point of few where wind resistance affected MPG on auto's.
  21. Lower to the ground most certainly does effect mpg. There is less wind resistance both above and below the car. It's one of the reasons the Tesla has a height adjustable suspension To clarify, I agree with you that it does make a difference on road trips and constant highway driving, but for the bulk of people just driving local city driving, I question that it really affects the MPG that much if at all.
  22. So does mine, she will not drive anything less than the trailblazer SS AWD I bought her. Sit up high with performance to boot.
  23. I still think the truck needs to be the size of my Series 5 1976 Chevy Luv Mikado. I loved that little re-badged Isuzu truck. It just went and went. 75LUV.pdf
  24. Why would anyone really want to sit lower to the ground and always have to do a deep squat to get out of the car. That lower sitting position really does not affect the MPG or handling that much in real world driving.
  25. Marketing is the biggest thing, they did an initial marketing of the Cruze Diesel and now nothing. I never hear about it, never see anything about it, etc. GM has the WORST Marketing / Sales ad department I have ever seen. They need to fire the morons who cannot seem to focus on selling everything and only on a few things.
