  1. So they are just doing putting out the same cars with different skins. Sounds about right. This is what will lead to both MB and BMW ending up loosing their luxury status as they become a true Chevy, Ford or Dodge to the US market. They are loosing that Luxury status as now they are just an anyone auto. Why bother buying an auto that anyone can have? Poor fit n finish and reliability to boot.
  2. WOW, Can you say BIG Mouth Billy Bass! I knew you could! Some will love this cheap little ride, but I would pass.

  5. ^ Drew's Statement is so True!
  6. LOL, you could not tell that in Seattle, the amount of STI and EVOs on the road here is crazy. Maybe a High Tech Young Engineer thing BMW and MB cannot touch these cars with the young engineering crowd.
  7. Interesting is all the projects ARPA is overseeing that is researching into the whole RANGE issue for batteries: http://www.arpa-e.energy.gov/?q=programs/range Interesting is that Chevy is considered one of the best systems out there. http://www.arpa-e.energy.gov/?q=arpa-e-programs/range To quote from this article: Program Description: The projects that comprise ARPA-E's RANGE Program, short for "Robust Affordable Next Generation Energy Storage Systems," seek to develop transformational electrochemical energy storage technologies that will accelerate the widespread adoption of electric vehicles by dramatically improving their driving range, cost, and safety. RANGE focuses on four specific areas; 1) Aqueous batteries constructed using water to improve safety and reduce costs. 2) Non-aqueous batteries that incorporate inherent protection mechanisms that ensure no harm to vehicle occupants in the event of a collision or fire. 3) Solid-state batteries that use no liquids or pastes in their construction. 4) Multifunctional batteries that contribute to both vehicle structure and energy storage functions. I have to say when you look at all the programs that the colleges and auto companies are involved in here, I expect us to see great things over the next 5 years in EV auto's.
  8. Sems MB and BMW have become Ford and Chevy of the 80's. Guess they are entering their 90's phase.
  9. To the Ricer crowd of STI and Evo Lovers! Focus RS
  10. Fun Fact: 95% of all students would ask for extra homework and abstinence education over a Mitsubishi Mirage.
  11. Interesting, the Mirage reminds me of cheap entry little run about for your highschool or college kid. The Outlander PHEV seems to have some cool tech, but the front nose yells Lexus Predator Knock off. Neither one inspires me to want to own them.
  12. WOW, The back end just yells Buick, Front end is so generic and bland it reminds me of Infiniti blandness. BLAH is the word of how this auto makes me feel. Interior comes across busy and cheap nothing luxury about it and the same with the engine bay. Infact looking at that plastic cover with the GDI it immediately made me think of VW and poor quality.
  13. Far superior to that ugly ass Prius line. This should do well in the US for Hyundai. Biggest gain and will be a great marketing piece is the 20 min to 80% charged on a DC charger. I hope Chevy states how fast for the much larger battery pack on the BOLT. After all a DC levl 3 charger can quickly fill up that battery pack.
  14. 2016 Ford Focus RS - $43,845 Went over budget so removed the extra set of Winter rims & Tires. Minus $1995 gets me into budget.
  15. Ocnblu do you need a hug?
  16. Trust me I have them on all my SUV's and Trucks and the tires pay for themselves with Long Life, I usually get between 85 to 100K miles on a set of BF Goodrich AT tires. Plus I have never had one go flat due to sidewall damage or nails / screws etc.
  17. I think the Suby Fans will like this. Be interesting to hear how people like it once they can test drive it.
  18. WOW This is tied with Lexus for the Ultimate machines. The interior looks cramped and tight to have so much seating. Not Impressed.
  19. Drew, are you guys trading in the Encore? Not any time soon... just already decided we need to move back up in size next time around. I'm going to eventually sell the Honda and replace it with a truck of some sort You should get a Pontiac Aztek, you could even cut the roof off the back to make it a pick up. That would be sweet and if it gets trashed hauling supplies, well who cares, it is an Aztek. On the Encore I like the new interior, it sort of reminds me of the newer Hyundai interiors as far as the shapes and design go. Bit I think it is cleaner, less busy design and more horizontal which makes it seem larger. SMK why waste time with a rebadge of a Nissan truck, MB can just do this like all the rest and just hack an existing car.
  20. So they are going to continue to push their Hydrogen design on the rest of the Prius family and really make them puking ugly. The back end is even more Hideous than the front. Something I never expected I would see, but WTF with the Pinched center of the back end? Prius Faith full will buy it and try and say this is superior to the VOLT, but the VOLT still rules them all as the ULTIMATE Plug-in Hybrid. Volt Prius
  21. I always loved these auto's!
  22. WOW That is actually pretty sharp and I would have to say Lincoln could REALLY snag sales if they KEPT the GUll Wing Doors and fancy steps and to quote SMK, put a REAL V8 Motor in this full size Brute of an SUV. Only way this would have been even cooler is if they did a pure EV version with a 300 mile battery pack.
  23. Hello McFly, I am a bit confused on this one. What is shorter and what is longer? Is the car physically longer but height is shorter? Or is the car physically shorter, height is longer? I am so confused: "Compared to the standard GLC, the Coupe is about 2.9 inches longer and 1.5 inches shorter." GLC =
