  1. If memory serves me correct is the Charger/Challenger/300 not built on last gen MB platform? So in this regards they probably are already better in many ways than Ford even for being 10 years old. Both Ford and Mopar need to take a big step up to bring their A game to compete against the Cadillac Tuned, Corvette power trained Camaro.
  2. At this point every auto maker who wants to compete in the pony segment is going to have to study the Camero and bring their A game if they want to compete. Ford is going to have to rethink the Mustang to bring a new level of competition or accept that they will be the runner up.
  3. VOLT Powertrain should be shared with others and scaled up and down to fit everything from Micro compact to full size SUV and Trucks.
  4. Awesome, Nice clean ride! Compared to my sons Patriot, this is a mid size and roomy. So the only things I noticed that seem to have gone wrong on my son's auto and I hear also tend to go on the Liberty is if you have a CD player, they are short lived. multiple replaced under warranty and now dead again but my son streams Pandora off his phone via the bluetooth on the radio. Also for some weird reason they seem to use a bit of Antifreeze. Not sure where it goes in my son patriot but it does have to be topped off in hot weather. Other than that the auto seems to be pretty solid from what I have heard of other Liberty owners.
  5. While these all make sense in their own way. I honestly doubt any of this will happen. I think FCA is worse off then anyone realizes and that the next couple years are going to prove this with the forced shutdown of models and even a brand.
  6. This sounds like generation 1 Cadillac SRX.
  7. As per other threads, this is where I have stated that BOF SUV can continue to evolve and easily beat the over rated G-Wagon as well as get better and better. Locally, I ran into a Seahawk who has his escalade and had my cadillac dealership install a supercharger on it. So he added the V symbol to the back and side doors. I truly believe Cadillac can and should make a V-Sport as well as V edition version of Escalade and ESV. Escalade Escalade ESV Escalade Platinum Escalade ESV Platinum Escalade V-Sport Escalade ESV V-Sport Escalade Platinum V-Sport Escalade ESV Platinum V-Sport Escalade V Edition Escalade ESV V Edition Escalade Platinum V Edition Escalade ESV Platinum V Edition This is how I would see the versions of the Escalade!
  8. Yes there used to be but weird that I cannot find one now either.
  9. As a badge loving snob you will never accept that Cadillac already does build a superior SUV/CUV. Escalade beats anything MB or BMW builds! Your G-Wagon is Overpriced Garbage and has been proven again and again that those buying them are only worried about the badge. End of story! SRX and now XT5 out do the germans, Cadillac just needs to get variety out and they are working on it. Took multiple decades for MB to pass Cadillac same with BMW Cadillac has changed and is moving in the direction to be back at the top of the world neck n neck with the germans and this scares you as then you will have nothing to use to constantly move your goal posts.
  10. WTF, a Gas guzzeling TTV12 that gives the same performance as a TTV8, is BMW just trying to use up all the crap in the barn before giving a modern version? The car looks dated, has a no big deal amount of info. So many other auto's already deliver on this. I have to assume Alpina signed a contract with BMW and then the M division decided they could do it and went forward so now they have two version different engines. What a crazy over kill system they have done. Pass, Take a vSport CT6 over this dated bore.
  11. Yeah you'd think they could just slap a mild tune on it for an extra like 15hp/10tq or something.. Mostly just to say it's more powerful. I mean it already gets pretty poor mileage and then the mild lift and tires kill any idea of getting decent mileage out of a smaller truck so might as well give it a little more power. Both Chevy and GMC needs to offer Hummer Packages that give you real world off road prowess.
  12. Welcome Rachel, Glad to have you join us. Please tell us a little about yourself. What kind of auto is your favorite, currently driving now? Dreams for car, SUV/CUV and Truck? etc. Look forward to your input on the forums.
  13. Weird, multiple takes and I end up with a ford mustang. Gotta question the quiz as I never fit in a mustang and I would take a Raptor over the mustang any day.
  14. My Brother in Law has only for the last 30 years leased auto's. Reason for this is as follows: 1) He likes to drive the current thing every two years. Hates old auto's. 2) Believes nothing is built to last so figures why mess with repairs. 3) He started out with sports car, changed easily into a family hauler, then into an SUV as the kids grew up and now into a mid size CUV for hauling the boat and going on trips with my sister, but smaller than a full size SUV since the kids are out of the house. 4)Easy to change back n forth between type of auto's going with stated #3. Over all leasing is for some not all.
  15. The tighter turning radius has nothing to do with it being BOF, it's because of its north-south RWD/4WD drivetrain rather than the transverse FWD/AWD layout of the Equinox, Explorer, etc. I understand what you are staying and the point I am making is some people here feel Unibody design is better than BOF and can handle better than BOF. Yes the powertrain layout affects how they can do the suspension and the turn in and out of the steering. Yet the over all handling of my BOF is superior to many Unibody showing that engineering can and does continue to improve old technology to outperform many newer technologies.
  16. Today Feb 11th 2016 Oil closed at $26.72 per barrel for long range contracts. Wholesale Gas closed at .81 cents per gallon. SMK if you had driven a current Escalade, Yukon or Suburban/Tahoe you would realize these large BOF SUVs drive like any other car out there and in many ways better than CUVs. My BOF Trailblazer SS AWD has a tighter turning radius than the Unibody CUVs sold by Chevy, Ford, etc. Do not discount BOF as being inferior as there are plenty of examples that show it does compete and beats Unibody.
  17. So corrected it to be more clear, your right it is not less reliable, but the same POOR RELIABLE Sprinter that they have been selling just a hard plastic cheaper version. Nothing on the sprinter line says quality and it FAILS their tag line. The BEST or NOTHING! In this case MB needs to step up their game or just drop it completely. The sprinter is one of the worst reliable vans on the market and this comes from personal experience with it both under the dodge label and as a MB badged version.
  18. I don't think so. Europe isn't as hybrid crazy as the U.S. I forget how many of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVs sold in the UK (Best selling hybrid model there). QUICK, GET THIS MEMBER SOME CAMARO 1LE TO TRY AND RETURN HIM TO NORMAL Agree that the Hybrid is not as big as their polluting Diesel's, but I was thinking they are much crazier about the station wagon than the US.
  19. I think all of them in their premium trims are basically dipped in chrome. Bumper, grille, mirrors, steps, handles, bigger larger badges, wheels... Baby Boomers love their Chrome, Some past that generation also, but more and more people seem to like Monochromatic paint jobs with a hint of chrome such as wheels only and Millennials like my son want everything Matte finish.
  20. Blu, I put the Zombie 222 up against your Nova any day at the track!
  21. Hmmmm a few things that I don't like when reading that.. You're losing A LOT of range with that driving style. Let's say we have a 200mile range battery. only charge to 80% = 160miles Don't allow under 25% = 110miles I don't like how those numbers are adding up. You only have 55% of the battery to actually use in that scenario. Like I said, I am going to do a full write up on EVs Batteries, but this is some of the info I have gotten from MIT, so wanting to compare it to a few other sources and how they tend to believe this. Also Tesla has proven you can have a 200 mile range battery with full depletion and rapid charging, so this is another interesting comparison to do with say the Leaf or the upcoming Bolt. I was surprised to see that the Nissan Leaf, Fiat 500e, Mini EV and Prius all do follow what MIT states for battery. The long life modes are interesting, so why not change over to the way Tesla does it? More to come, that is for sure. Full Size Trucks are just not fit to be someone's only car with so many variables... What if I, on a lark, decide to take my Full Size Truck to a craft beer sampling, Saturday night in the city. I'd never find parking and miss half the event, while the guy in the Tesla Model S finds free electric parking and gets to the event in time! Compact Cars are just not fit to be someone's only car with so many variables... What if I, on a lark, help my friend move from one condo to another. I'd never fit his Laz-E Boy into the car, while the guy in the Tesla Model X fits tonnes of stuff just fine! Coupes are just not fit to be someone's only car with so many variables... What if I, on a lark, decide to take my Coupe to my child's field trip function. I'd never fit more than one kid into the car, while the people who don't make dumbass, rhetorical statements haul several kids in their vans/SUV's/trucks/sedans. TOO MANY RULES TO BE FOLLOWED. Are you a rule-follower, Booyah? Plus I am proud of my 12.3 inches. McFly you talking depth again? McFly I am talking at you! Who says you only have to settle for 12.3 inches? WHERES THE BEEF?
  22. I give them credit for building a solid off road truck, but their Predator look design is so tiring and just ugly to me.
  23. What a look to a truck. Sorry I know some of you guys here love your Chrome, but it seems the Asians have gone Chrome overload on their auto's and this is another perfect example of a freaking Fuggly Truck! Nissan should have spent the money on their cars and CUVs rather than waste it on this truck. Makes no sense.
