You're missing the point as you seem to always do since your so drunk on your MB kool aid. The BOLT Engineering tech can be used for a wide range of auto's from Luxury to base entry level. MB is going to do that so why not GM!

The BOLT platform is able to be used in many different places. Since no one on this forum has true insight into what Cadillac / GM is doing with the BOLT platform, we really do not know just how many various auto's are coming based on the EV platform. Nor do we know how many other CUV/SUV/Trucks/Cars that will roll out besides the small actual info they have told us. Like Drew has stated multiple times, we have not seen Johans work yet. So you want Cadillac to be like Benz the Toyota of German? Got it and how is this a luxury only auto company then? It is not, plus Cadillac does not need all of that as they have their sister company Chevy to fill in the low end.

They very well could have for all we know. GM shocked everyone with the BOLT! Who knows what is really planned for Cadillac over the next few years.

In a truck that is hauling stuff, this should do well to have smooth shifting with gas milage.But But But that is fake news, must be!Thinking about this picture, it does make me look around and while I see allot of Ford, Chevy, GMC and RAM diesels, older ones being 7 or more years old I see some black, but nothing like this on any of the newer trucks. They are clear other than the heat. Yet with that said, I have noticed trucks like this that come out of the 4 wheel parts place and the Diesel Dynamics place and blow a ton of black so I am thinking more 3rd party performance applications where they dump a ton more diesel into the motor to produce power and the end result is this black soot. I am going to say this witch hunt is just that, a witch hunt and that I really doubt GM and Ford are using defeat devices. Hopefully who ever actually takes each model year and retests and checks for alternative programming also is aware enough to look for if the trucks have 3rd party performance add ons as that will skew things greatly.Weird, Guess I hit a fake news site as I saw GM listed at 1.6 million. Yet even then the point being if we put all of GM together to be equal to MB, then they still outsold MB.Yes MB sold more than Cadillac, but then lets look at that 472,000. This included all their car versions, vans, trucks,etc. So if we look at GM, then the 1.6 million auto's they sold in 2016 clearly beats MB. Apple to Apple comparison. Cadillac, Buick and Chevy equal the whole MB product line.Is this not pretty much most of the mid west? Heck I know riding the train from Chicago to Seattle you see a ton of auto's lined up in the fields that the train runs parallel too. Crazy, so many projects and not enough time.OK, first test the trucks and see if cheating software is on them. Second, do they really have 705,000 current owners having them represent them in this? NO, so how is this frivolous lawsuit being allowed forward? Third, I wonder how GM would have gotten their diesel through testing if they were cheating. Unlike VW lie, GM is using all the various options to clean up the emissions. I really doubt these trucks are cheating. I agree that I doubt all 6 have come together to cheat . I also agree with the tv interview that this firm is assuming all auto companies that build Diesel auto's are cheating and must pay. Strictly it is a money grab I feel and the looser will be users that have valid needs of diesel for pulling / hauling. Interesting, that many news feel this could force everyone to walk away from diesel. I agree with the ending comments that this will make companies think twice. One does have to wonder just how clean can a company make such a dirty fuel.We'll the story says lightweight construction platform, could they just be saying how the i3/i8 are constructed which is heavy use of carbon fiber not the actual existing platform?
