  1. I own a Cannondale with HD Rock Shox forks. Frame is special order since I am rather big, Have it hung in the garage and was going to grab a photo of if off their web site, but wow, have not looked at bikes in the last few years and they do not make mine anylonger. In fact I see all the mountain bikes have gone to a universal womans type design. The rest, forks, big fat tires, proper brakes, etc. are still the same, but the frames have really changed.
  2. Very Cool Review, this will make for a solid selling package for those that want the car with some power but not the V8 power and lower MPG. Awesome
  3. This makes sense and I would have to think they would have some common sense about this type of dealer. The focus needs to be on areas like where I live where you have two small towns with a single store approach like that and the service sucks, sales have to be insignificant and you can drive an extra 15 min to a much bigger dealer with much better service. No need for a dealer between Seattle and Tacoma or Seattle and Everett here that cannot offer a true luxury experience. They need to focus on these small dealers that just do not make sense any longer.
  4. This is the 34yr chart I love to look at and see just how far and how fast in the last 10 years we have really come. If picture is too small for you to read, go to the web page here: http://www.dieselhub.com/compare/cummins-vs-duramax-vs-powerstroke.html
  5. Cadillac will come to you to get your auto, take it, service it, wash it, vacuum it and return it in clean condition to your home or work.
  6. I have done this for years and love it and am excited that they are finally getting really organized to plan for the 24hr Ski / Snowboard "Hope on the Slope" event. This is an amazing night of skiing, you raise money for the Cancer Society as you Ski / Snowboard for 24hrs straight. Stevens pass as well as other mountains do this and keep the resort open. It is amazing to see the night ski at 2am in the morning. An image I wish everyone could see. Hope on the Slopes! Feb 24-25th 2017 Helping to fund research to find a cure for Cancer! http://www.hopeontheslopes.org/hope-on-the-slopes
  7. Surreal, do you have a Solar roof to help off set the price of electricity? I would think that would help plus If the roof slants away, I would even build a frame to support more panels on the dark side of the house to maximize the solar gain and that could also help with charging an EV auto like the Bolt. This also makes me think that the Tesla Wall is a smart way to go so that you maximize your solar gain during the day and storage and come home at night and be able to use the stored electricity either for the house or to recharge the EV.
  8. I am a regular life long season pass holder for Stevens pass washington for skiing, but years ago I started to dabble in Mountain biking and have to say it is crazy fun and can be just as challenging as skiing. A monster adrenaline rush. Stevens Pass https://www.stevenspass.com/site They opened up a few weeks back a new Double Black Diamond Trail call Berserker and I have to say I will wait after having actually gone on it slowly. Way crazy as this video does not do it justice for how steep it really is. I am excited about all the new ski trails and ramps making new jumps we will have this winter. So does anyone else Mountain Bike?
  9. An interesting observation, we all hate the deregulation of oil as it made gas prices, heating oil and pretty much anything that is created or relies on oil volatile as well in price. So what I am taking away here is that the states that went to offering multiple options for your electric supplier has not really made the rates cheaper but created a bit of a confusing best time to use electricity as you get screwed at some times during the day or night and not at others. WOW, I much more prefer my state where electricity is regulated and can only change upon the approval of the state regulator and that is mandated to only be once per year. At least I can then rely on consistent yearly pricing with no crazy scheduled during the day or up and down crazy monthly pricing based on the competition.
  10. Electrical rate is the same 24/7 here in washington, so I am glad I do not have to deal with crazy price increases for periods like they do in stupid california.
  11. Wings, I am one of those customers that with 3 cadillac dealerships in my general area, 15 mile circle, the two closest to me are terrible and deserve to be closed down. I now drive to the farthest dealer who has outstanding service, attention to detail, etc. In fact I take my Trailblazer SS there to get the synthetic oil changed as the service is that much better and the price of the oil change between Cadillac and Chevy is nothing since it is synthetic. I am a customer who does drive a little farther for better service yet same price.
  12. Cadillac is not FORD, Chevy or DODGE, they are a Luxury brand that should have world class service and dealerships. Simple, you cannot sell enough to justify the luxury line, then you do not have it. Many Ford Dealerships have Lincoln and they do Lincoln a dishonor by having them in the same show room. Luxury is Luxury and deserves to have it's own place. Fact of life is that while many rich people will go to Walmart to save money, They still do not want their luxury products on the same shelf there. Same with Cars, People who buy fords and Chevy's for the most part stay with those dealerships and rarely move up to the luxury line if it is shown there. Luxury buyers expect a much higher level of service and dealership. Ford would be wise to make this change if they want Lincoln to Compete with Cadillac, MB, BMW etc. Otherwise accept that Lincoln is a Buick competitor. Just how I see it and I think many others do also.
  13. That is freaking lovely, sex on wheels! Thank you Being the Denali edition, I expected all the Chrome, but I have to imagine that this in basic or mid trim form would be more monochromatic.
  14. I get the point your making Suav, but the OCD in me saying I will only give up my auto's when I am dead. I have only used Lyft once, Uber 3 times and all 4 of those times was due to a team outing. I take the bus daily into work as Seattle has made it impossible for a computer engineer to afford parking by the month. Yet I love to drive and I love my freedom machine. I personally know that myself and my family will always have auto's.a Mass transit and taxis have their place but cannot replace your freedom machine in this country.
  15. 21st century technology and the Internet, ya know that thing that that idiot demobot said he created! In all honesty, today's technology has allowed people to do their own research, schedule a test drive if they want or just buy it online. As such, new auto companies do not see the need for the ancient 20th century laws. Gotta change with the changing times. As long as there is no monopoly, there is no reason a company should not be able to sell direct.
  16. Very Cool, Evergreen Speedway here is always fun to go watch the High school drags and NHRA when they are in town.
  17. I agree to disagree in regards to his backing up his claims. I think most people will agree that he cherry picked allot of data. In regards to the gas versus electrical, let's, dive into this to see what the real story is here. We will base this on a couple of solid facts: 257 million auto's registered in the US with an average age of 11 years. 12,000 miles per year driven For excitement factor we will use his 22 miles per gallon. We will also use Washington State Average gas price and electrical price which of today September 26th 2016 is $2.59 per gallon and 6 cents per KWh. Petro Auto - 12,000 miles for 11 years = 132,000 miles divided by 22 MPG = 6000 gallons of petrol @ $2.59 means you spend $15,540 dollars on Gas. With two oil changes per year, you adding another $1,100 at $100 per year, not looking at brakes, tires, other misc. maintenance cost. Total cost over 11 years = $16,640 dollars or $1,512.72 per year. EV Auto BOLT - 238 miles per charge at 60KWh. 60KWh times .06 = $3.60 per charge. 12,000 miles for 11 years = 132,000 miles divided by 238 = 554.621 Charges. We will round it up to 555 times $3.60 per charge cost = $1998 cost in electrical. Add $2,000 for a 240V charger installed at your house and you have $3998 cost over 11 years. No brakes, tires, other misc. cost just like the Petro included, plus no oil changes. Total cost over 11 years = $3,998 dollars or $363.45 per year. Bonus, you can use the charger to charge other EV's if you buy more, cannot fuel at home for petros. In washington state, since the Leaf came out, all homes and Townhomes are required to have a 240V disconnect box in the garage to support a EV Charger. All Condo's and Apartments must have dedicated EV charging spots equal to 10% of the parking. So moving forward we will see an increase in support for charging EV's. I understand that in many places gas prices are much lower and a few are higher plus electrical rates are also much higher compared to here. Yet with that said, EV's make plenty of sense.
  18. No allergies for me, but creepy crud. Was going around the office last week. I thought I had avoided it, but hit me sunday morning. Everyone better take their vitamins!
  19. This is a great plan as we need to dump the little dealers who do not have the cash to invest in a luxury dealership, does not have the sales to support a luxury style of dealership and does not offer the service one would expect of a luxury dealership. In a span of 18 miles, I have the one big dealership that I go to as the service is far superior and two small ones that usually only carry a couple cars, an escalade, etc. These two small dealerships are also part of a mega Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Saturn mega store concept from the 80-90's that are very dated and clearly not a place that Luxury buyers would go to. This is about giving the buyer the buying experience they expect. We have a MB dealership on the north end, one on the eastside, one in the south end. Total of 3 MB dealerships, same with BMW and they service the greater Seattle Tacoma area. 3 Counties and are very successful. Cadillac on the other hand has 12 dealerships servicing this same area. Most look like dated tear downs from the 70-80's and clearly we only need 3-4 at most. This is about changing to insure that the buying experience is what one would expect of a luxury dealership. Not trying to be all things to everyone out of one lot. GM does not need that unlike MB or BMW.
  20. Also why would we use the mythical mpg of 22.4 on a truck compared to a mid size sedan that the Tesla S is. Yes, I know the truck makers are all marketing that their half ton trucks get low 20's for MPG and yet real world use proves they get much less. The forbes story is just so pathetic, even when he tries to defend his info in the comment section, he still is cherry picking and then tries to defend himself that he is doing his part to protect the plant by driving a prius. That whole story is just a joke.
  21. Bummer, totally sucky when it comes to us adapting to the weather change. O'h how it would have been nice to still be young but with the knowledge we know have.
