The guy has the money, I suspect we will see it at least in limited production as he then goes after startup capital investments. I also think this was a proof of concept to allow them to sell the tech solution to an Auto OEM who wants to get a real off road EV SUV into the market place. Be interesting as we have a number of EV startups. I suspect only 10-20% will survive with the rest selling off their patents and folding up or being bought out. I also expect some ICE OEMs to fold shop over the next 5-10 years especially in China and Europe. Interesting times we live in.

WOW, Talk about a confusing mess as I actually thought the T8 was an 8 cylinder, T6 was 6 cylinder, T5 was 5 cylinder, etc. That is just a mess of HP figures. Truly they need a better system to identify the differences between the engine outputs IMHO. Totally agree that this body design on the other autos would rock. Agree that this 40 is too small but would love it on the 90 or 80

So very true and that is probably why I never seen the Chevy cars that low, the dealerships know that no one will buy a stripped down car. Though I think that is what all kids should start off with to learn and respect what it costs to get a nicely equipped auto.

Rimac Torque Vectoring video is very cool plus they use DELL computers for their design work. http://www.rimac-automobili.com/media/2305/rimac-torque-vectoring-inside-video.mp4 Interesting how they use the packaging design of a Volt, so their batteries are T shaped. Available liquid cooled or air cooled to optimize battery life for the project design.

Rimac is impressive as they offer 4 different motors in their car and the top is 517hp continuous with peak 877hp. With 625 Lb Ft of continous torque. Should be a blast to drive. Like what they have on their site http://www.rimac-automobili.com/en/ Have to say that the Rimac is NO SHED BUILT car. They designed their own controllers and so much more based on what I see on their web site. This is a well funded car company. They have some very cool tech. I hope they survive or at least get bought by an auto company that wants to compete in the Hypercar war that I see coming.

I could go for this especially if Hyundai would do the right thing by FCA US and kill off certain labels and clean house to allow the rest to properly survive. At this point, move the 300 and Pacifica to Dodge and retire Chrysler name and move forward with Jeep, RAM and Dodge. Let FCA Euro choke on their own crap Fiat, Alfa, etc.

@Drew Dowdell @regfootball I have read this posted by different members and I guess I do not see what the benefit would be of the following: Plugin Hybrid with generator. A few members have said they would love a Plugin Hybrid with a turbo 4 motor. WHY? Since it is a Plugin, the powertrain is electric and so I see no reason the generator would need a turbo? Am I missing something here or are they really wanting a hybrid where the engine does do some actual work and not the plugin part?

Cool, Thank you for pointing that out, I did not know the Spark got that low in price, I never see the spark in this area much and the few I have seen must have been maxed out as They always seem to be close to 20K. Totally forgot about them, but then they must just max load them in my area as I have never seen them so cheap as Ocnblu points out.

Yes, I have to say that I am BORED with all the Jelly Bean Body Designs especially the boring Tesla body. I love the muscular look to this auto.

Smart Pricing and it should help them in the market. Wish GM would realize they need to have a proper priced product like this. The Lowest priced Chevy I found on my local lot was a $18,000 Cruze bare bones and that was after all the rebates, plus bonus cash like Military bonus cash, college graduate cash, etc. Talk about a BS price since I have never run into someone that can claim every single rebate, bonus cash, etc. GM just does not understand that they need a $12-$15,000 priced entry auto.

Awesome, so glad you found a good deal and are happy. Surprised the dealer did not flash the DVD system, getting map updates for the nav are easy. Bet the camera is a wire connection as I have seen this in many of them. Check the fuses and then you can find a wire diagram on the web and chase down the wire connections to see everything is connected securely. If the camera is really dead, new 1080P camera's are reasonable now so you could upgrade to a much better camera in it's place. Keep us updated on your upgrades and fixes, Looks awesome.

Other than full size pickups that seem tied for highest rebates from the OEM, Looks like Ford and FCA are the rebate queens this month.

WOW JamesB, I am glad your wife is ok just bruised and sore I am sure. Sorry about the loss of your Durango, an awesome auto for sure. Bummer that the local cops are clearly dragging their feet as the gov is at fault here and of course are going to try and minimize having to pay, but stick it to them and make sure your wife is OK and you get a fair equal replacement for the auto.
