Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
@Cmicasa the Great Seems wall street is loosing it's patience and the luster of Musk as there are multiple stories out today about being time to reevaluate Tesla as it trades 67 times yearly earnings. http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/the-truth-is-catching-up-with-tesla/ar-AAt1RxU?li=BBnbfcL Truth is catching up to Musk and Tesla. If they cannot start building in volume by the end of the year as they are burning through 1 billion a quarter with 20 billion in debt already and still no solar roofs other than executives who got them after the solar city purchase of his cousins company, Tesla could end up caput since the other OEMs are now focused and paying attention.

Not that technical but related to exterior car care
Agreed, you are right in regards to using steel wool on chromed plastic and I would not do that but the question of using a cleaning product such as a wax cleaner or liquid chrome cleaner is not a problem for Chromed plastics. In regards to using today's multiple liquid options of cleaning chrome grills that are chrome plated plastic, you can do this without a problem.

Not that technical but related to exterior car care
@trinacriabob Howdly, long time no post by ya, glad to see ya back. Chrome is chrome be it plated on Steel or Plastic so you can use just fine chrome cleaner. Also as stated by many wax companies if you are worried about a thin chrome plating, then just use your standard wax cleaner for the paint job and the chromed plastic bits. Meguiar's makes both a good wax cleaner and chrome cleaner. More important is to make sure you do not get the cleaner on your rubber parts as it usually does not come off and you have marks on the rubber then. Your grill is a plastic grill, but it is chrome plated and so chrome cleaner will work on it just fine.

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
WOW, Multiple stories that have Tesla having hand built a ton of parts to allow them to get the Tesla 3 into productions and now that major problems have shown up, Tesla is redirecting money to get the parts auto assembly built so they take the human error factor out. Parts that will be replaced in ALL TESLA 3 models are as follows: Headlights Tail lights Front and Rear seats Battery Packs The rest of the parts are smaller components according to company insiders as Tesla focuses on only delivering these prototype cars to the employees who will have to deal with numerous changes as production parts come online. Seems the Gigawatt production line is also way behind in producing enough battery packs for the Tesla 3 as they also struggle to keep up with demand for the model X & S. electrek story Guess my statement about talking to a major OEM about ramping up production might just have been true is Musk could get over his ego. This could also totally explain the non-working FM and internet streaming from the car, needing to WiFi your smartphone to the car to get any music to play. Interesting

Chevrolet News:The Possible Inventory Problem of the Chevrolet Equinox
They also have more than enough capacity at their US plant to ramp up. I truly believe that between Mexico and the US, they can ramp up and offset the production. Let Canada Union starve on their strike BS. This also lets GM get out of having to pay back any tax breaks they were given to keep manufacturing there as the Union is who decided to strike hurting manufacturing in Canada, not GM.

GM News: GM's SURUS Combines Hydrogen and Autonomous Tech
Agree that I would not waste money on the tech either, but it is understandable as GM and Honda have teamed up to spend 85 million on the tech in support of the EPA and US Military that is funding the research. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/gm-honda-hydrogen-fuel-cell-manufacturing-push/ I would say that the bulk of GM's announcement is really focused on EV and they will keep a few hundred peeps working by spending the tax dollars from the two gov agencies to show what can be done. This DOES NOT mean it is economically feasible.

Jeep News: Rumorpile: Next-Generation Wrangler Powertrain Details Are Partially Revealed
Remember, GM had many drag racing groups using the Quad 4 in a dual Turbo setup getting 1200hp. But I agree, I think the 3 was to be a 2 which makes way more sense. Not true, the Pentastar has become very reliable and in the V6 with 8 spd tranny config, seems to be doing very well across all models that the powertrain is installed in.

GM News: GM's SURUS Combines Hydrogen and Autonomous Tech
Cool tech, yet with that said, Hydrogen is an Energy looser as it takes more energy to produce hydrogen fuel than other solutions. I can see a CNG generator to produce kWh of juice for a pure EV platform. To me that would be more realistic I think. Be interesting to see what they want to really use this for besides the stated uses above. I will say that the Medical Unit and the Container hauler in a shipping yard are very cool autonomous uses of this tech.

2017 Tokyo Motor Show: 2018 Toyota Century Enters Its Third-Generation With Hybrid Power
This auto has been a very cool ride for a long time. This car also has auto open and close doors so the rear passengers do not have to touch a thing other than enter and sit down, buckle up. Very cool luxury auto that I think Toyota should have in their Lexus Stable for the US market. I would take this over the German S class. A very Stately looking ride!

Jeep News: Rumorpile: Next-Generation Wrangler Powertrain Details Are Partially Revealed
Talk about an overworked expected to have a short life 4 banger. V6 would be the better motor for long ownership. Course with the amount of lease deals FCA is doing on Jeep, I bet more and more will go with the T4 cause after 36K miles who cares who has to deal with an overworked motor. I hope they look at doing a Hybrid. Diesel or gas motor with electric assist would be kick ass. Land Rover is doing it, no reason for the US brands not too.

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
Interesting that on their web page they say the Tesla 3 has FM radio and internet streaming. https://www.tesla.com/model3 Yet the forums currently as stated here FM radio is not active yet and neither it would seem is the internet streaming options. Since there is also no BlueTooth connectivity, you have the built in WiFi and LTE connections as the only way to use your own device. Even though the auto has multiple USB ports, I do not find in the spec info that the speaker system can use it to play songs off a USB thumb drive. The more I read on the Tesla 3 and how little it has to offer for the cost, the more the BOLT is a superior EV. It would appear that using your WiFi connected Smartphone is the option to listen to music in this minimalist overpriced EV.
