  1. Yes very true as I was referring to how they SS'd all the 4 bangers and some 6 bangers that really did not show any performance creed. One Exception was the SS HHR Turbo that was a nice improvement over the rest of the HHR family. I also thought the cobalt had potential, just never realized to the ultimate of what an SS should have been. I would be happy to have this Impala SS to go with my TB SS.
  2. Interesting how the front reminds me of the Cherokee / Juke and the back end of the MB small cuvs.
  3. Awesome ride, loved it in the Maroon color they had. The last of a decent SS before the whored it out on all the crappy SS on every line stuff they did.
  4. If they stay this close to the concept. Sadly VW is known to be a bit too conservative so just based on the actual covered up pics, I hold to my feelings on the auto.
  5. Yes, Yes I can, as it is bland and bland to me is Ugly! The photo's on the other site is enough to tell to my eyes that it is bland and as such ugly. You can clearly see how they have covered the corners of rear and front lights and side trim but over all very conservative in the style and just a jelly bean shape. I really do not see much of an improvement when they pull off the white tape to reveal the auto. It will sell, but I doubt it will be a run away success.
  6. Are you sure? Ford + Lincoln = 241,126 sold GM = Chevy+GMC+Buick+Cadillac = 237,364 Yup Ford beat GM by 3,762 auto's. Interesting when you look at the rebates: FORD F150 has a $5,150 rebate and Expedition has $7,000 http://www.realcartips.com/ford-incentives/ GM Trucks has $3,500 on Chevy full size truck and only $500 on GMC full size truck, full size SUVs are $1,500 on both Suburban and Yukon. http://www.realcartips.com/gm-incentives/ End result is that the ATP is much higher on GM than Ford auto's. Amazing to see that other than the Fiesta that has Zero rebate, every auto Ford has is at least $2,000 plus or bigger to move metal. GM on the other hand has many that are below $1,000, either 500 or 750. Yes they do have some in the 4K range too.
  7. So is the A7, such terrible sales numbers.
  8. OK, they just SUCK SUCK SUCK and the amount of viewing of these so called commercials are just pathetic. https://www.youtube.com/user/cadillac This is the Cadillac channel on YouTube and it is not impressive at all. The whole Willingness to Dare BLOWS! So far nothing is a dare from Cadillac.
  9. I have not even seen those ads you mentioned. I saw they were spending money on multiple page ads in magazines focused at the 1% crowd. Not something most people will see and their online social media ads suck big time. Agree, not sure what the hell is going on with Cadillac advertising but I question just who made the choice in agencies and how they are being managed and rated on performance as right now it SUCKS!
  10. Very true and I totally agree. The CTS is so understated in how good it is. Course it would help if they did a wee bit more marketing on their cars and showed some excitement of driving them to the world.
  11. Very cool to see the F-Pace doing so well. I wish it was big enough to hold me and passengers. I am excited for them to get their EV version here. Anyone know if Land Rover is still using Ford engines or did they move to producing their own finally?
  12. I really wonder how stand alone Mitsubishi dealers survive on such little sales.
  13. Drew stated in this thread: That the XTS was scheduled to still be built threw 2020 mainly for the Chinese market. I know and I think it was Drew also that had brought up or talked about the union contracts that would keep this in production, but I cannot find that thread. Or at least I think it was Drew who had brought that up.
  14. Keep in mind that they have union contracts through I think it was 2020 when the XTS car is killed off. So they have to honor that little bit of work. Plus you have baby boomers that find the CTS much too hard of a car to rid in. My own baby boomer parents always tell me they see no reason for the CTS. Every time they get one as a loaner, they park it in their garage and drive their other Cadillac as the CTS is not a float mobile of the older cadillacs. Different expectations from a different life time. XTS has it's place and since there is very little R&D cost, it is a pure money maker for GM as it serves well the homeowners market as well as the private limo car business and funeral business. I do agree with you that I would like to see it retired to history and move the funeral and limo business to Escalades and CT6's.
  15. Shows us how many Lemmings are out in Society as willing sheeple.
  16. As long as they keep improving the interior and adding content to make it a value, the cars are solid enough to keep going on their own till either a replacement does happen or the brand is killed off by the Italian mob boss Sergio. Solid impressive numbers from Jeep, then Ram and finally Dodge. Chrysler is going to look very sad once they sell off all the 200's and only have the 300 and minivan to sell. Yet with that said, Alfa is a joke and should have just been left in the history books. pathetic.
  17. Not bad, I do wonder what is going on at Chevy and GMC. But overall not bad considering that auto sales are on the decline right now. GM just laid off half of the 5000 peeps at the transmission assembly plant due to weak sales according to the news this morning. At least GM is down to 94 days selling compared to the triple digits they had towards the end of last year.
  18. Sales consolidation is on. Without FORDs trucks and SUVs, this would have been an ugly double digit percentage contraction.
  19. @Cmicasa the Great I agree that Cadillac probably could make a better CLA or X1 fighter. In reality, I hope they never do as Cadillac just needs to focus on Luxury and ignor the badge wanna be snobs that are too cheap or cannot really afford to buy a Cadillac. Let's face it, MB and BMW have used cheap leases to grow their market share and quality has suffered on top of the entering Toyota / Cheverolet territory with their badge and not being good at it. This will come back to haunt them I think.
  20. RIGHT! This is the new Trans Am of the 21 century of goddiness overkill. Sadly with non of the real V8 power Pizzas in a sardine can that is actually ugly.
  21. The tires makes ya wonder how fast the first pair will wear out. I bet most get only 5-6K miles on the tires before your having to spend $1,200 on a new set. 20" rims do not have many options for this car. Expensive no matter how you look at it.
  22. Seeing the picture of this, it is really ugly from the back end and especially the stupid 3 exhuast pipe with one being smaller than the others is just weird. The back end just looked hacked up. Interesting statement about this being performance and that the tires will wear lasting 10,000 miles or less. Also the statement to put on winter tires. This is going to be interesting to see how many get crashed by kids thinking they can be speed racer.
  23. You must be pretty thin as a husky person or muscular person such as me and my family had a CX-9 latest over xmas for our 25 wedding anniversary on the Big Island and it left much to be desired. Tight, poor ergonomics and the terrible dragon body design has a small opening at the top of the front doors, so very hard to get in and out of. Front passenger seat was uncomfortable and not able to be adjusted as much as the driver seat. Even my kids and wife all in the 5' 8" size thought the Mazda could have been much better on the interior especially but ease of getting in and out. Worse yet is for the 4 banger engine, gas mileage was not impressive and makes one question why even bother. Many better CUV's with better engines than the CX-9.
