But, But , But that would mean they would have to stop in-breeding and removing brain capacity with each generation. Maybe that is not a bad thing when you look up the WV resident pictures:

This 12.4 mile long drive climbs 4,700 feet to the summit at just over 14,000 feet above sea level. The current record for VW to beat was set last year by Rhys Millen in an EV Prototype at 8 min and 57.118 seconds. VW News Release

Thank you, it is really weird that nowhere on their build system do they talk about the alarm system or on their overview of the auto. Very weird, looks like a basic alarm with some annoying things as most are just basic contacts and noise with a built in reset. Seen better 3rd party alarms than this, I would think pretty easy for a criminal to overcome fast.

True, and he states for them it will be government driven. With China moving to ban ICE auto's, it is not a matter of if, but when they will have to have a pure EV to meet demand in their largest market. To quote their CEO: CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös has confirmed that the new platform has been designed with electrification in mind. “We are more regulator driven than consumer driven,” Müller-Ötvös admitted at the Phantom press launch. “We might well see, in the next decade, some Asian markets closing down city centers to combustion engines completely. And then, of course, [electrification] is a must.” Not if, but when and they clearly know they will have to offer their product in pure EV form. Even they admit that their auto's are not driven long distances but mostly short inner city use. EV's make perfect sense as you have a very large auto that can handle the batteries and take advantage of the massive torque to move quickly.

@balthazar Just checked their web site, no security system at all offered by the company. Have to do a 3rd party install. Cadillac at least has a basic security system. Configured up the GTS the way I would want it for my own driving as a Hybrid and I was over $160K. Ouch, talk about pricey.

Interesting idea, have the 360 degree camera system record everything for say 3-5 min when the alarm goes off. Cool tech for protecting your property. Wonder if Porsche thought of it and did it or not?

Makes one question and wonder why a dual clutch auto is not able to handle more torque in a VW. Corvette seems to have gotten the supercharged V8 to handle torque and HP at a high RPM so again I question why auto is lower torque than manual. Also If I missed something and Corvette is also doing the same thing higher torque in manual compared to auto, then I also question why.

Hope not as that would be a failure for VW as everyone seems to be adding awd.

True, just think my SS Trailblazer looks better than this car cut off does. Maybe it is the look of a wheel chock that I just do not like about this VW. Reminds me of a door wedge.

@oldshurst442 I get what your says olds, but the VW at the top of your thread to me looks like it was just cut off with a large meat knife.

Agree, why not also have Torque equal to HP or more. American builders can do this with Pushrod engines and yet you have to over rev and have more weight with the overhead cam crap to have high hp and medium torque.

The good ol days when a shoulder check actually meant you could see out the corners of your auto.

I also see the blind spots enlarged to give it a better role over rating. Gonna need more camera's to see out of it. Over all nice update to the original.

Interior is nice and way better than anything BMW or MB puts out. Yet the exterior is just like the rest of the German builders, same bland design for the last 40 years. It has been awhile since Porsche built a car I was excited about in style. GT3 I think is the last one that was "WOW" "That is COOL"
