Seems Rome has announced that starting in 2024 all Diesel auto's will be banned from city streets. Last year 1.8 million new cars were sold, 2/3rds of them Diesel. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/02/28/arrivederci-diesel-rome-to-ban-oil-burning-cars-by-2024/ Seems Milan has announced that no Diesel auto's will be allowed in the city starting in 2030.

Industry News: Geely Automotive Tried Taking Over Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
I would take Geely as owner for the American brands over Fiat. I could see Geely kill off chrysler or use it to bring in their own rebadged Geely auto's. Fiat I can see being killed off and even Alfa if Geely did buy them. My gut tells me the debt load that FCA is carrying is the main reason for a low offer by Geely and FCA wants to ignore the truth of how indebted they are.

Fiat News: Rumorpile: FCA Considers Calling It Quits on Diesel
ECONOMICAL Yes they get solid high mpg, but due to the much higher cost of the powertrain as well as the cost of the fuel, it has been proven that for 90% Plus of buyers, Diesel is NOT ECONOMICAL! balthazar and others did the math and it ran from 10 to 20 years to break even on Diesel! ECONOMICAL

Short term car shopping. Again.
Yet the Volt does not have to be plugged in. You can still get outstanding Fuel Economy using the generator on board. I have multiple coworkers that never really bother to charge their Volt and yet love it.

Short term car shopping. Again.
Totally agree with all you stated, looked in my area and was surprised to find 2012-2015 Chevy Volts from $9,999 to $14,999 with 25K to 60K miles on them. 2016 and 2017 Volts with 5K to 15K miles were all in the 20-22K range. considerable discount from a new 2018 model. Surprised that a 14-16K drop from new to one that barely has a years worth of driving on them. Some good deals.

Geneva 2018: Hyundai Kona Electric is Somehow More Funky: Comments
True, but I have to questions the stated miles on the kWh battery pack for this auto. 186 miles on a battery pack that is 1/3 smaller than the BOLT is overestimated. Math for that size battery means 159 miles, not 186 and I do have to question in what real world it is based on for these new testing specs. In regards to the gas mileage statement, you are correct, people do not think to ask as they are used to finding a gas station everywhere and until chargers are everywhere, Mileage does matter. End result is that I agree, you should be able to get either motor with either batter I think. Yet with that stated, my gut tells me that Hyundai has overstated the miles on the smaller battery pack as well as the bigger battery pack.

Geneva 2018: Hyundai Kona Electric is Somehow More Funky: Comments
My gut tells me the bigger battery is needed due to the HP as heavy foot will eat up the charge. Wish the BOLT had a bigger battery pack option. LG makes one, Chevy should for the 2019 BOLT offer the bigger battery pack option and update the interior I think. Course this could happen with the BOLT version 2.0 that comes out then I believe. I also wish they would take the Metallic Green from the trucks and offer it on the BOLT. That is an awesome color that I think people would love to have.

Back Pedal to try and save some value in the Diesel's sitting on the lots awaiting to be sold. Black Eye already done, people who buy the Diesel will want a bigger discount. Too Late, cat out of the bag, Diesel is dying fast.

Yesterday leaving the Gym I came out and saw these two: Shelby F150, nice stance, great looking truck. Maserati CUV, Talk about an ugly mess of a car.

Geneva 2018: Lexus' UX is Quite Bold: Comments
WTF Still using the ugly predator design, I see less and less Lexus on the roads, people hate the style. Watched the video multiple times stopping it to check out the dash, WTF is the two round poles sticking out of the top of the dash above the steering wheel? Whole dash looks like a plastic mess. Honestly, not sure what the hell the designers are going for but this is their worst design yet of a dash. Tag line of "Experience Amazing" Some idiot needs to lay off the BC Bud! Idiots have no freakin clue what Amazing is based on seeing this hideous auto.

Saw my First Hyundai Ioniq in the wild. A white one that was actually doing better than the Prius next to it in a crazy winter dump of snow.

Review: 2017 Hyundai Ioniq SEL
3rd Paragraph, first sentence You wrote: “It seems quite normal,” will be thought of many when they come inside the Ioniq. I think you need a "by" after of written as such: “It seems quite normal,” will be thought of by many when they come inside the Ioniq. OUTSTANDING, Thank you for referencing your height in regards to the back seat. That really is important I believe to shoppers. Last Paragraph, 2nd sentence you have an extra "the": You wrote: The Ioniq has the less the outlandish design, better performance, higher fuel economy figures (on paper), and value. I think this "the" needs to go: The Ioniq has the less the outlandish design, better performance, higher fuel economy figures (on paper), and value. overall good read, enjoyed it.

Buick News: 2019 Buick Envision Adds More Gears, Lowers Price
I agree that not all auto's have nice interiors for the cash they ask for them, Lexus is a perfect example of a plastic hell inside for their CUV's. Yet I doubt the GLB will be the best as we have a ton of spy shots and nothing to really say it is going to be better than everyone else. Just your kool aid drinking statements. I bing'd 2018 GLB to see what would come up and I got this: Nice for a German Ricer version as this does not say luxury to me. Bing'd 2019 GLB and you get this especially from a bunch of german auto sites: Better, but this is just a BUSY MESS. An attempt to make luxury but then throw in the kitchen sink for buttons everywhere, MB terrible paddle system to the cheap looking circle vents no different than Fords Circle vents on a Mustang. Only cool thing is the dual big LCD screens in the dash.

So true in thinking about this, 4 year Vapor Plans. Wonder what the new 4yr Vapor plan will be once the new CEO takes over. With the changing of the Guard, this makes one wonder why bother releasing a 4yr plan with an outgoing CEO. Might as well wait till the new CEO is in at least 90 days and then release a plan.

Land Rover News: Land Rover Isn't A Planning Model To Slot Above the Range Rover
Seems a German man has decided that Range Rover needs a Superyacht owner vehicle and is going to build one as the Range Rover 6x6. This would definitly be above the standard maxed out Range Rover. Theodoros Fotiadis, a Berlin-based German designer has started work on the ultimate ride for the Superyacht owner. There is no other information at this time in regards to powertrain, details about the ability of the 6x6 system. It seems he is inspired by the Mercedes-benz 6x6 auto that was built.
