While I do like the looks of the CUV, I am really coming to HATE the rear C pillar or D pillar depending on model as they are large blind spots and I truly believe that if they built the auto with incorporating a proper roll cage, you could keep full vision out the rear corners while having the strength to handle a rollover crash.

Crazy as I did not see them but really appreciate you posting them here. Thank you. Good to know they had it.

Nice looking coupe design sedan. I wonder how much this will hurt existing sales since multiple outlets say this is a more luxurious version compared to the existing Jetta.

Interesting love the change of design language from their current hideous design language. Sadly I hate that coupe back end and wish it was more true SUV style. To me such a waste of potential usable space and letting the sun in to the back of the auto with a coupe style rear hatch.

Warm coco brown was not on their pallet in the last few years, you could not get any color you wanted unless you went custom and paid a crazy price. Part of the standard colors available is what I was commenting on and that seems to now be part of their 2019 pallet. Interesting comparison of the 2018 Escalade interior dash to the 2019 G-Wagon dash.

I will grant one thing to MB and that is the use of dual big screens to replace traditional switches. Yes a bigger cost if one fails or you break it, but also a nice change in having touch screen control and customizable interface. I like the single big screen in the Escalade, but would be nice to extend that over to the center stack I think.

True, yet many seem to have them there including my Trailblazer SS which is one of the small issues I have about it. Why put cup holders right in front of the center stack. Yet in looking over all the pictures, I can see no other place for cup holders on the dash or around the seats. Nice, about time they dumped that 40+ year old interior with the cheap net bags and net cup holders all in plastic. Love that they took a page from escalade with a warm decent two tone coco Brown interior. Very nice for using a car dash in the SUV.

Wow, a decent interior, they clearly took a page from Escalade with that warm cocoa brown two tone interior. Very nice. Finally an upgrade after 40 plus years. Do not see those cheap ass net bags or plastic net cup holders, but then I see none at all, so I wonder if they are under the door in the center console.

Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver?
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
Cummins AEOS is a sharp looking truck that I bet they could sell if they put it into production. I could see it silently delivering goods around a city.- 11 replies

It could also be that European regulations are forcing them to do it whether they like it or not. -
Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver?
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
FYI, Toyota using Kenworth truck shells has mules of their Hydrogen Class 8 Semi trucks. They are building a Hydrogen fueling system at the Port of Los Angeles and expect to have these trucks running around LA in quantity over the next few years. I have to wonder about the long term viability of this design when the sleeper cab is used as one massive Hydrogen storage system instead to give it long haul capabilities. The fueling station at the port will also be open to any Mirai car owner to use to fuel.- 11 replies

Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver?
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
Nope did not forget about Cummins, but their Aeos EV Semi truck is a concept only as it was built to show off their production ready EV Powertrain they want to sell to existing Class 7 & 8 truck builders. Their power train is going into a couple different commercial EV buses, but they have not yet secured a Class 7 or 8 Semi truck builder yet.- 11 replies

Kia News: 2018 Kia Stinger to Begin At $32,800, GT At $39,200

I totally agree with all you stated. I myself have not used the company listed, but surprised at how fast someone got something on the market. I will say that I do like the dial tune ECU custom chip package where you replace the OEM ECU with one that starts at OEM programing and yet also go up to full power ECU and back if you need MPG over Power. -

But Musk says the semi's will be on the road by 2019! I agree that 2022 would seem more likely. Makes me wonder what Paccar, maker of Kenworth and Peterbilt as well as Volvo, Mack and MB have in store for delivering Electric Semi's. We know MB has had mules for the last couple years but they could only cover 100 miles.- 11 replies

The Dial ECU Tune or parts add on by yourself or both? I can say that I have never used a Dial ECU tune before, but have replaced my own chip with a custom Tune ECU chip and saw big differences right away. Or are you an OEM Performance parts person only?
