Home - Garage - Vehicles - Error EX0
Hi Drew, So was looking through the garage, clicked on a few pics and got the error EX0 - Something went wrong, please try again. I then went and clicked on your Encore, same error, then checked each of my own pics and always the same error. Seems no matter what picture I click on, then click on the image tab and click the JPG

May Car Spotter
Had dinner with the wife and daughter tonight. At the seafood place there was a brand new Stelvio right next to a Buick Rainer, if we were not running late for our dinner appointment, I would have stopped to snap a pic. I will say that I agree with the wife that the Rainier was very clean show room like for such an old SUV. Stelvio is just blah, nothing special about that cuv.

Kia News: Kia Niro EV Revealed in South Korea
I get that they are offering a cheaper version to bring in the value customer, but reality is that the 64 kWh batter at over 450 Kilometers is what the average customer is going to want and expect. I can only imagine a few of the smaller battery being sold to inner city living folks that would never want to go to the suburbs or on longer road trips and if they do, probably will rent an auto then.

Why EVs Have a Long Road Ahead
Good read, thanks for posting. It is interesting that One, he CHOSE to skip some places he could have charged at, he also passed right over that in a Power Outage, gas stations DO NOT work either! There is some great info here, but he also ignores common sense in checking the details of knowing what DC fast chargers have limits and what ones do not. Lack of common sense is his own fault for spending more time than needed to get to where he wanted to go. He also points out he has a Tesla that could use the Proprietary charging systems across the state to get there much faster. Multiple choices including his own lack of planning on charging stops and how long they would charge. What this shows is that we are at the beginning of the EV change over, there is plenty of work to still be done and having a gas auto for road trips make more sense than an EV. As Drew points out, for 95% of people, the BOLT makes a great daily driver. His final quote at the end is a true fact of where we are at today with EV's: EV technology has finally reached a point at which “range anxiety” alone is no longer a serious concern, but we’re not at the point where EVs and gasoline-powered cars are completely interchangeable. Until the gap closes, plan ahead and be prepared. I see this as nothing but a positive showing that Petro auto's have a valid and long term use in society but so does EV's as local daily drivers. Win / Win for both powertrains! Very common to ride into town, water and feed your horse as you took care of business.

Why EVs Have a Long Road Ahead
US limits gasoline fill ups across the country to 10 gallons per min maximum or 35 gallons per min for commercial diesel. Agree that right now there are more petro options than EV charging options. Yet starting out in the 1900's, there were more water tanks and hay feed bags then petro stations as horses out numbers auto's. We are in that same state now with EV compared to Gas.

Jeep Grand Commander is a Three-Row SUV for China : Comments
The First Robo Cop movie, the Original was a telltale sign of the future. They talked about Big is Better and Room inside is King The all new 6000 SUX, a hybrid or pure electric CUV. I can see a limited market for Cars in the Future, SUV/CUV/Truck will be KING as we meet fuel standards via the new power trains. Welcome to the Future!

- Very cool Solid State Battery Tech, out in EVs by 2024
Looking at the Imec's innovative solid state battery tech, one is left with excitement at the fast charging stable batteries that are on their way for the future. Check out the video as they plan to out pace and replace the wet Li-ion batteries.- VW News: Volkswagen Will Add A Mild-Hybrid System to Next-Gen Golf
Just based on what they have released and I am reading elsewhere besides here, this mild hybrid system is very mild and really is not going to offer much other than complexity to the powertrain gas system. It will be interesting to see just how much they state this system will give their auto and real world testing actually shows. I honestly am not expecting much from this system.- Lincoln News: Lincoln: We're Still Committed to Cars
