What is verified can still be changed, we have seen that with the Mazda Diesel that has been promised and verified many times to be yanked at the last minute or delayed repeatedly to address issues. If FCA finds the cost too high to get a diesel certified, they could just shelve it. Many an automaker has done that. -

Hell Ya, GM could so easily stretch the BOLT platform and dump the Malibu body on it and have a Superior looking EV Sedan. Being bigger, then GM could offer a 100kWh battery pack getting over 300 miles and just kicking Tesla away! Still take a BOLT over the Tesla 3 any day.- 176 replies

Time to retire old outdated state laws. The people must rise up and overthrow the status quo of the ingrained, entrenched special interest providing lawmakers.

Ya Don't! Always said these high HP low torque engines with dual overhead cam crap are just marketing fluff for idiots that cannot understand real torque is the answer, not butt loads of HP. Will take a properly built pushrod V6 or V8 over turbo everything in today's driving of needing torque to move along.

Ram News: 2017 Ram 1500 EcoDiesels Are Hitting Dealers

Pretty much not anymore especially where you live as the power is all Natural Gas produced now. Seems to be an abundance of methan back in your state! Actually where he lives in Penn State, they burn ZERO coal as all their energy is produced by Natural Gas. They were one of the first states to convert their plants over once they realized the huge NG reserves they were sitting on. Nothing like Farting to produce kWh. -

You will find plenty of problems with the first generation but that was back in 2014 or so, now they seem to be pretty solid. Do not see anything glaring that is showing up in ecodiesel forums or on the recall threads. -
Guess this is to compete with Costco and Sam's club that has single low price purchasing with all that so people who do not want to dicker on price can just pick an auto, and buy. Be interesting to see how this goes here and if they apply this elsewhere in the world.

Even the M3 that is considered their best and most dependable and desireable car is not something I would ever want or wish on my enemy. My best friend had one and it spent more time in the shop under warranty than at his house. He finally traded it in on a AMG that also ended up in the shop more than at his house, he went to Porsche and ended up buying an Audi as he said both the Porsche and Audi were more dependable than the BMW or AMG. Sad state of their quality.

Industry News: The Big Electric Car Blitz
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
LOL, we have some in the older neighborhoods, but due to the extreme wind storms that come off the pacific ocean, the push since the early 90's is that all new construction has to be underground. Also starting in the late 90's the push by Washington to harness the wind and sea has created big farms of green energy, so you can also offset your rate with adding green energy request. I do not do this for multiple reasons but the biggest is you are subject to brownouts compared to everyone else that is on pure hydro power. For the couple cents, until I remodel my house and do the whole roof solar with storage and then I will go totally green as I can survive with my battery bank.- 31 replies

Errors seem to be big considering the duplication of systems across multiple auto's and how some scored worse than others. Clearly makes me wonder about how unbiased the testing was?

Forgot about the city tax I live in but my rate still came out to a flat 10 cents per kWh. Will post a pic of my bill to show we have cheap electric rates here. One reason the Aluminum industry and recycled steel industry is here, cheap power to make their product.- 31 replies

Moron cannot seem to figure out how to stop wasting money on non-profit items and build up those that do bring him the profits to waste on the Italian crap. FUV can die with the rest of F. -

6 cents per kWh is what shows up on my bill before the state and fed taxes. Washington has always been one of the cheapest in the nation for electric rates. So just looked at my local PUD bill that came in and with figuring in the taxes here, the rate comes out to .0943 cents per kWh.- 31 replies
