  1. @oldshurst442 @Cmicasa the Great @Cubical-aka-Moltar Perfect time to bring back the GMC Typhoon & Trailblazer SS which is a Corvette based SUV. Also, time to stop dicking around Cadillac and have a V edition of the Escalade as well as V editions of the XT line. Love this story from Detroit News about building a Corvette labeled SUV. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/opinion/columnists/henry-payne/2017/03/27/gm-built-corvette-suv/99676442/
  2. The ultimate in Green Transportation and Transformation!
  3. Totally agree, This would be perfect for Ocnblu who likes a new auto every 12 months.
  4. This is awesome 1,103 HP Hennessey Exorcist ZL1. Comes with a 2yr, 24,000 mile warranty. Only 100 to be built a year per year as long as GM continues to build the ZL1. Freakin SWEET!
  5. I totally agree with this in regards to real world testing to get the New Standard of the World auto for everyone!
  6. Interesting, so a regular Lambo, add a ton of Steroids and the tiring coupe design for limited rear head room, leg room. Talk about a busy dash, but love the warm brown two tone interior. I like it, So much better than their cars. Be exciting to see one in person.
  7. Boy talk about taking a Lamborghini, add a ton of Steroids and one Urus is born.
  8. Talk about no head room and what looks like very little back seat leg room. Wonder what their measurements hit at?
  9. WOW, what a busy interesting dash. Love the Warm brown two tone interior.
  10. Nope far from it, common sense is what is failing from ads like this. In a 30 second spot you cannot tell me that you or anyone else can actually read all that fine print. So having a ad that says out the door at $28,500. These ads have ended up in the courts here in Washington state and lost every time as to why they are no longer allowed here. Many people do not read the fine print, do not have the common sense to read the details and only see as you state the Out the Door Price and expect that end of story. As much as I hate government oversight and big brother watching, there is a case to be made to make sure businesses do not take advantage of the average citizen and abuse the marketing. Case in point is VW ABUSE of the Green Diesel Marketing that is costing them dearly. What is required by law versus common sense and protection of the citizen are very much at odds to each other. Sadly we need to protect citizens from themselves as to why @CCAP41 and I believe these type of ads are deceptive and should be banned nationwide.
  11. Drew, agree that both models are not base model, but from what I could see from comparing and reading the web site, base models of those two trim levels. I agree that insurance can especially if you do not own a house to take advantage of the added group discount of home/auto policies can clearly help. I see value here for many people yet also I see the flip side for those that preferred to not have ongoing payments if you are one that holds onto your auto's for a long time.
  12. I understand the point they are making here for a just sign, drive and pay your monthly fee, get a new one in 12 months. Regular rotating income month to month being new and current for those that like to stay on top of the Jones Jones race. Honestly, this is the worst thing someone can do as you truly just throw money away especially as the cost compared to what really goes wrong on an auto is out of sync. Spent some time this morning on the Volvo web site and both models available under this program are very base version compared to what you can add on if you lease or buy. I guess some folks will see this as a way to always have the latest and greatest with no responsibility but I see it as a crazy waste of money.
  13. I like how here in Washington, state law was passed to keep deceptive advertising from happening. The dealerships advertise their MSRP price or the current discounted price from the OEM on the auto and state plus taxes, title and misc. fees. This way you know there is more than just the price advertised in regards to buying the auto. Out the door ads suck as they are deceptive and if a person needs to stay in a set budget range and show up only to have an alternative and usually higher price, that can really screw up their budget if they get the normal car sales person pressure to buy. Plus they have wasted their time going to the dealer who deceived them anyway. I know each their own on how they interpret the ads but I agree with you CCAP41.
  14. I think a better way to clarify the Lexus quality thing is they build an excellent product that is stuck at a point in time where others are pushing beyond where Lexus is. I get that some people are happy with a set standard, where others want more. I want more than what Toyota / Lexus offer for not only myself but others.
  15. I understand what you say and I use my Aunt as one example but have seen this in many friends Lexus and when my sister went car shopping. The RX was a plastic nightmare that she found so many poor fit and finish and total lack of comfort compared to others out there. She looked and test drove Infinity, Acura, Mazda and found what to her was the best luxury in Buick. I have to say spending the whole weekend on various auto lots, test driving and digging into the fit n finish and what is considered Luxury was eye opening as there is clear disconnect between what people say (reports & Marketing) and what is actually out there on the lots. I am glad your father-in-law is happy with his RX350.
  16. I understand that, and yet what I have seen of their auto's seems to contradict that. My aunt is stuck on Lexus only and yet seems to have hers in the dealership for many issues from falling headliner to trim pieces coming off. Yes she is one of those people that trades it in every 3 years and yet with the amount of visits to the dealership, I am just surprised that people buy it. I guess they get their number 1 rating for taking care of the customer. Good for them.
  17. Time to sound off on what we have seen this final month of 2017. December Car Spotter thread. Start off by two auto's I really enjoyed checking out: My sisters 2017 Buick Premier II 2018 GMC Denali Canyon Duramax Diesel
  18. Helped my sister buy a new 2017 Buick Envision Premier II fully loaded this week. MSRP was $50,150, paid $38,645 plus tax and license. There is a sale for the December numbers!
  19. Seems that like balthazar says, they could do with ending the following models: AMG Gt SL SLC Smart G-Wagon B-Class Those would free up money for the rest of the product line to make it better and invest in their EVs.
  20. Lemmings are converting from cars to CUVs. Nothing new here really, but I am surprised by just how many Plastic Lexus get moved when there are so many superior Luxury auto's available.
  21. Alfa, what a joke, Fiat as expected, people know it is a terrible product and are fleeing. Nothing changed from the 70's, new wrapper same crap. The rest to be as expected and Jeep holding the whole thing up.
  22. Nothing Really surprising here, increase in CUV sales, decrease in car sales and just consistent sales of their lack luster EVs.
  23. Totally agree with Drew, Due Diligence is every person/business responsibility when buying something. 20K Ampera-E sales is totally doable and based on the huge pre-sales that PSA has since stopped taking since they are so far behind in getting the auto to customers. I would say PSA should be looking at selling more not less since they are complaining about the pollution fine on their existing sales of new diesel / petro. Having a product line that lacks clean efficiency in Europe with all the rapid changes happening for clean air and water and then stopping sales of a very successful EV auto is just stupid. PSA Knee Jerk reaction and their instant response is legal action rather than how do we turn this around asap. Clearly some questionable mgmt. on PSA, the board, etc..
