  1. Seems really stupid for companies to enforce a mandatory tie policy of fancy clothes for everyone especially when the bulk of the employees never interact with the customer.
  2. @ocnblu @ccap41 @Cubical-aka-Moltar Seems it was a real concept project to build a Hellcat Pacifica. https://www.topspeed.com/cars/chrysler/2017-chrysler-pacifica-hellcat-ar172693.html
  3. I would think using the Turbo 4 banger from say the Wrangler so 300HP with Electric assist hybrid powertrain would give it a nice Pacifica RT package.
  4. Also like the Redline package, just sucks that you cannot get it in other colors as a Redline package in Ivy Metallic would be awesome. Weird that they also do not allow the sunroof option though that I could careless about for myself, others in the family like the big panoramic roof.
  5. Tommy Bahama makes high quality cloths that do cover the Jimmy Buffett style as well as more business casual wear. The company tagline is one swing at a time. Tommy Bahama website They cover from swim wear to houseware. It is all about the casual relaxing lifestyle. After all you can go Island Zone in clothes to more city zone in style. They even have a Tommy Bahama NFL collection for Men and Woman. I will say that their Restaurants are awesome. Top notch service and outstanding food. Worth going to if you are in one of the markets that has a place. Stores & Restaurants Locations Hope you can make it someday as I really love the food. If nothing else they do deliver some of their food items such as the yummy Pina Colada Cake.
  6. Come on as long as they can sell it, cheap R&D to put the Hellcat package in everything. I honestly am surprised they have not done a hellcat Pacifica.
  7. I get that, when I was in sales, I was personally dressed at Nordstroms so that I hit everything right in the tech sales. Once I flipped to Engineering, my most casual dress is clean nice jean shorts and Polo shirts, I have a nice selection of Tommy Bahama as they are worth the coin. Last long and look good. I honestly get dressed up once a year now for our big trade show in Vegas and that is it.
  8. Yuppies do Tommy Bahama now. Swinging in the breeze!
  9. Is this the Image Tesla wants their CEO to give on doing interviews be it news or podcasts?
  10. How about a Ram Dakota Powerwagon version. Call it the WhiteHorse edition.
  11. Gotta love all the reviews coming out and the data compiled by various sites. Right now autoblog has this great chart from their story located here: https://www.autoblog.com/2018/09/18/audi-e-tron-vs-jaguar-i-pace-tesla-model-x-comparison/
  12. I suspect based on pricing out controllers, motors, electric heater, electric ac for my conversion of my 1994 GMC Suburban that the cost is way cheaper for an EV powertrain, but the battery is where the big cost is at. Battery pack is 10 times the cost of the powertrain.
  13. Interesting to see what changes on the SUV. The cars I could care less about, though I am happy to see them go the Hybrid route.
  14. Yes, I could so just live in the Yukon and off the land and enjoy the peace and quiet with no modern tech at times.
  15. Nice, looks like a normal CUV, has a 21st century looking dash. Be interested to see what the actual interior space is when they are on the lot.
  16. Floating islands of FireAnts in NC flood zones. Crazy!!!
  17. Meh, time for it to go bye bye till they bring it back as an EV in limited production on their global platform.
  18. They are on the back end of their oil reserves and must diversify for the long term wealth of their country. Right now going into other technology is the smartest thing they can do.
  19. https://driveelectricweek.org/index.php Started in 2011 and now from a local to a national even, last week was the biggest turnout ever for National Drive Electric Week. Washington state alone had 17 individual events. This year for 2018 there was a total of 322 events during the week throughout all of North America. As is to be expected, the top auto's most commonly found at these events are Tesla, Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Bolt / Volt, BMW i3 / i8, plus all kinds of cool conversion auto's. Plenty of shows all over but here were some cool ones like this one in New Jersey. Here was one in Issaquah Washington at the XXX Root Beer Burger place.
  20. The durangos and dakota pickups had this also. My daughters 1999 Durango and sons 1998 Dakota both have this option.
  21. I agree, I am surprised that Chevrolet did not install a manual deactivate switch for airbags when offroading. Seems like a common sense rather than have such a sensitive your rolling over sensor when they are not.
  22. Yes fairly new but not wow, better than everyone else. It would be nice if GM would actually focus on being better than everyone rather than just equal to or we have a product in that category, good enough attitude.
  23. Should be exciting since it will be built side by side with the Jeep pickup truck. That should mean we get some serious off road capabilities hopefully without the current side airbag problems the ZR2 is having.
  24. Seems a British racing car company has patented a new production process that will allow auto companies to dump weight by using race car or body-in-white production to enhance a cars efficiency. With electric auto's having a weight increase due to batteries, this company believes this is the future. seats are 30% lighter than standard seats and just as comfortable and even safer. Better yet is that they see the average auto having a power to weight ratio of 8.5 lbs per horsepower. The company goes onto say that you could have a modern auto that would weight about 1,874 lbs, use a 220 hp 1.5 L 4-cylinder engine to achieve their power to weight statement. The whole body-in-white design is taking the best of the production world with the best of the racing world so that you end up with an ultra lite carbon fiber reinforced body structure paired to high strength aluminum pan and ribbing. Welcome to the iStream car as the British race car company calls their new mass produced low carbon vehicle. Race Car Lightweight design on production cars story
