  1. This is the kind of attention to detail that needs to go into Cadillac auto's. There should always be an ultimate luxury package for the top SUV/CUV/Car in a product portfolio. I honestly will say that this has caught my attention to go check out their current SUVs again. I am interested in seeing the interior in person, other than that, until they dump the Predator nose their product line is a DOA for me. edit: In thinking about this single option package, this really makes the LS500 a Chauffeur focus ride for ultimate passenger comfort IMHO. Check out those seat controls / features you get with the package.
  2. Cool, thanks for the info. I would have to agree as you have a limited market in Japan and elsewhere, but China is the biggest growing market. So makes sense.
  3. Never knew they were part of the OC, clearly moving them did nothing to change the brand, much like moving Cadillac to NY did nothing. Did they ever move back?
  4. Per their website: https://www.lexus.com/models/LS/features The glass is part of the door panel, see it in the uppler left pic of the door.
  5. I have to say that efficiencies will be gained by this, but that means layoffs. Personally they should have never moved there, but moved into separate space in Detroit. Course Johan did some things right in regards to quality, but most things I never agreed with him on. Too much of a German wanna be focus rather than fixing and growing the legacy of the American Luxury Auto with Heritage.
  6. Not surprised by this, I am very excited to check it out and see it when it does get here. Hopefully @Drew Dowdell or @William Maley will be able to go to one of these drive events and get pics and details on it for us. :D
  7. Right You can not say this is not pure luxury of quality. WOW
  8. Hand Folded Origami Cloth It is amazing the hand skill used in this and how cool it is to watch, Never had heard of this till this story caught my attention today. Talk about proving they can swing with the Mercedes-Benz S class on ultimate luxury, hand made quality. Ultimate Kiriko Glass - Hand etched to achieve the right colors in clear glass. This is the Lexus Executive Seating Package. From totally comfort of the seating to the interior quality it is an amazing thing to see. But is it worth it? Jalopnik story
  9. Do not do FaceBook or FacePlant as I call it. Is that a Chrysler 200 face???? ?
  10. So true, Driving is a skill you have to pay attention too and not one to rely on computers. So many need to put their shit down and pay attention to the road. After all, it is a Privilege earned not a right to drive.
  11. That is one stock I have never owned or will. Way overvalued for my investing style.
  12. For cars that is so true even the lovely CT6, the leg space is very limited. :(
  13. Agree to disagree, I hear things like this all the time with the people around me at work and yes Washington is a legal place for pot but what people accept for themselves is very different than the bar placed on leadership.
  14. @ccap41 Thanks, yes you are so right, with my 6'6" frame, that seat has ZERO leg room as the seat is against the back seat.
  15. I thought in 2 door cars that was the only thing the rear seat was good for little kids. Thanks for running out with the rugrats and showing us this!
  16. For me the style is Meh at best, as a performance car, that front nose is just a blunt piece of steel / plastic with a curved grind on it. I honestly think the peeps in this division could not come up with a better looking nose so just took a plastic block, ground off the side to give it a round shape and then say put the lights here, emblem here and we will use the Hideous look from Chevrolet full size trucks with the Roman gladiator side spikes and glue it onto the car and call it a day. I love a family consistent style, but in this case the Truck front end does not work on the Camaro. Green house is a problem for me as the bunker look is just so over and blah also. Interior can always use a better update. Pro's, best damn powertrain around I think.
  17. Ever wonder what the difference is that allowed them to become a millionaire / billionaire compared to what we are? I do wonder how the dice fell to get them where they are. I do ponder what I did different at times. Interesting thinking.
  18. The difference that I see is as you pointed out, retracts down to a small screen with functions still if you do not use the radio or nav, but they are thick and strong looking compared to the paper thin units the Germans used that do not retract and look like they would break off pretty easy.
  19. Beer is Legal, Pot is NOT by the federal gov and only a hand full of states have legalized it. The image by parents / investors that they expect is a higher bar for someone in this position. Maybe he is a cyborg.
  20. Sharp looking Wagon if you like or want wagons!
  21. Yes, I understand that, but to my point as the leader of a $51 billion worth company, he has to think about how this can be used to slander him or the company and hold himself to a higher standard. After all he is the CEO and Chairman of the company. The investors expect more from him.
  22. That is Cadillac, I am talking a Chevrolet family series that helps to reduce cost by spreading the DNA over a wider range of products. Chevrolet Camaro - 2 door Chevrolet SS - 4 door Chevrolet Blazer - 4 door CUV etc. etc. etc. I still believe if they truly focused on quality auto's that delivered on the performance creed and pushed down that you could have a family of auto's on a single platform that would deliver what people are wanting from fuel efficient commuter auto to performance, CUV etc.
  23. This is where GM if they have some thinking heads will learn from the mistakes of Pontiac. Keep the Pony car, but build a family of performance from it with the 2 door pony car, 4 door performance sedan and performance 4 door CUV. Streamline the product line onto a single platform that allows to maximize profits, brand, auto name, etc. to drive sales.
  24. Lots of interesting EVs coming my friend, trust me! :D I can understand and respect where you are coming from. For me, the lifestyle I have lived growing up and shown my own kids, a minivan would never work. My kids also could never use a car or minivan as the lifestyle they also live requires an SUV. From winter sports to offroading, camping exploring the world, they accept the lower fuel efficiency and added maintenance for the versatility an SUV gives them.
  25. The point being missed is that image is everything and while I live in a state that Weed is legal and I do not care if you want to smoke it, do drugs whatever, your life, welcome to flush it down the drain and do not expect me to support you for your poor choices. Point being is if you Google or Bing Musk, this image comes up over and over. Is this the image you want your CEO to be projecting? I understand where this image came from in the podcast, but a leader needs to be thinking of the image they project beyond personal choice. He represents $51 Billion investment by the shareholders. To me, IMHO, This is a Leadership FAIL of the picture!
