  1. Car sales down, CUV sales up, pretty much on par with the industry. Surprised to see such a large drop on the Q3. Off set by the A3, A4, A5 sales.
  2. Great to see them, I wonder since they import so much, how much of this was driven by people afraid of the Tariff war and wanting to buy cheaper before prices go up? ?
  3. No matter how one looks at this, they have hit a homerun in every segment pretty much.
  4. Got it, I have Roku boxes, so never thought about the Chromecast stick or Firestick. I try and stay agnostic to anyone platform for change of supplier.
  5. To be expected that Fiat brand would continue it's demise into nothing. I would not be surprised to see them closing dealerships by 2020. No body with a common sense brain buys Fiat crap. Dodge dropped sales to be expected too. Surprised at the increase in Journey sales. Everything else as I expected.
  6. Have you checked out YouTube TV? I find it has all of that in one package just about. Really happy with it.
  7. Have to say that having cut the cord to the traditional TV companies has been liberating. I moved my parents and sisters off Comcast or what I call Comblastic probably 10 years ago to Fios TV which was way better at a lower cost, but after cost increases, I dropped Fios TV and landline phone 2 years ago and have been very happy with Netflix and Hulu. Yes, I missed my local channels but could not justify what was charged to just get local. I tried an HD antenna and for me it worked great. My parents and one sister wanted to cut the cord too finally and I tried the Lava 8008 HD antenna that works great for me on top of a hill with them, but discovered they live in a hole and do not get good reception. As such, when I researched above, I ended up going with YouTube TV for $40 a month. Sharing this cost with my parents and one sister. so all 3 of us have accounts in my Family group and can now see over 600 HD channels and all local. Have to say this is the future and really does show that we no longer need all the crazy costs of the other TV providers. Have a decent internet access and YouTube TV and you have a superior package compared to Comcast / xFinity or Fios TV or any other traditional provider. Yup and I stand by my statement!
  8. If it was not for their CUVs, this company would be hurting big time.
  9. Second company following Fords lead of Truck / SUV sales exceeding the cars sales loss of sales. Good for them.
  10. Here is the first company that truck / SUV sales are surpassing the drop in car sales, I do have to question why kill off a product like the Fusion that is still selling 11,286 cars in a month or trending over 135,000 cars for the year in sales. That just seems weird to me. C-MAX truly has dropped off the cliff.
  11. Same as others so far, car sales are falling off the cliff everywhere and while Truck / SUV / CUV sales are up, they are not totally replacing car sales. We are in a downward projections so far.
  12. cars sales are just falling off the cliff everywhere.
  13. Like this story on some cool old jeeps that most people have never seen. https://jalopnik.com/seven-jeeps-you-never-knew-existed-1722504955
  14. Extreme E outdoor racing. Seems to have some merit for arena racing with cleaner air and a reduction on impact on mother earth. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1118561_formula-e-develops-new-off-road-extreme-e-racing-series Seems our mid engine Corvette has hit Germany for some serious testing. https://jalopnik.com/the-mid-engined-corvette-has-arrived-at-the-nurburgring-1828783011
  15. Saw these two on the highway today!
  16. We like the Galaxy 500 far far away!
  17. Full Story here but very cool to see the latest of Streaming Live TV. https://www.cnet.com/news/are-your-live-local-channels-on-a-streaming-tv-service-yet/ Local channels on DirecTV Now, Fubo TV, Hulu, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV and YouTube TV compared [by CNET] - (as of August 17, 2018).pdf
  18. Went to a friends wedding this weekend, was on her parents ranch. The father is OCD about his garage, hobby rooms and his old cars. Restored SS is lovely, picked up a Galaxie 500 that he is planning to clean up too. @A Horse With No Name Thought of you when I saw his wood options and the clean wood shop.
  19. Real Cadillac station wagon. I have to give Kudos to the guy who took a 2 door Tahoe and grafted the front end onto it. Would love a modern day version of this.
  20. WOW ? The price is crazy. lovely car thow
  21. Yes I am a fan of Cadillac but their CT & XT is Bullshit. I disagree with much that the now gone idiot leader did. Quality building should always be job one for every auto OEM out there. Cadillac has a rich history and we need to stop the madness of following what the Germans are doing. Bring back the Eldorado, Brougham and many other great name plates. Ignore the crazy like numbering that was Cadillac of 1904 to 1950. Focus on giving us the great concepts they have shown off. I see no reason to now have as @smk4565 has stated a compact, mid and large CUV plus Escalade, Escalade ESV, in both regular, sport and V editions for all products. But use the rich history of names to set Cadillac apart. Why not have the Fleetwood, Fleetwood Brougham, DeVille, Coupe DeVille, etc. There is no reason to not also bring out the concepts as a La Salle Roadster would be nice or the Imaj, Elmiraj, Escala, Converj. We have had many of us state that Lincoln was right to go back to their roots with the Continental regardless if we like the car or not, Cadillac needs to do the same. Cadillac has history that people around the world remember of the rich names, not the German bland boring letters / numbers. Let the Germans have their naming system. Let the Americans have their names of richness in building quality competitive products.
  22. The scramble to keep from getting hit for fuel efficiency while they work to bring out their modular plug-in hybrids, electrics and off load the diesel legacy bits.
  23. Other than class size, there is minimal differences between one over the other priced next model up. Call it a roadster or cabriolet it is the same convertible with trim differences. @Cubical-aka-Moltar I agree on a full portfolio of putting a blah model into every size category but I would not call it diverse in that from A to S they all look the same, pretty much all have the same interior to exterior. Exception is their AMG line that does nicely stand out from the rest and the custom order version of the S-class. Rest of the product line up , most people cannot tell the difference between.
