  1. Yo Ven, About time you got your PNW butt back on the boards! WELCOME!!! ?
  2. Wife has great pallet and while I love all things pure, I also know that she starts off with a recipe and tweaks to taste to ensure delight of the taste buds. I have never tasted Vinegar in the dressing, but it still is yummy on a fresh salad. Sour Cream I love so in everything is fine with me. I do know that the local Greek Yogurt place she has picked up plain from them and made it with that and it is yummy. I will say I also love all things cheese and the Feta Cheese in it is AWESOME! Just like Greek Fries here that are covered in Feta Cheese. YUMMY!
  3. Save ya some time, you can get it two ways, thick or thin. Here are two recipes that have been very good for my family and is cheap but very fresh. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/162830/easy-greek-yogurt-cucumber-sauce/ https://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/cucumber-dill-dressing-301430#activity-feed Enjoy my friend!
  4. Today has been a funny day, as posted above a running just fine old oldsmobile station wagon and saw 3 mercedes all being towed. Then on the way home from the gym this was in front of me at the light! Total of 4 for the day. WOW What happened to the best or nothing at all slogan?
  5. I just trust you that much that there was a new V8 coming upsized from 6.2L
  6. Newman's Own is awesome, very popular around here. Wife loves Raspberry Vinaigrette. Family eats it all the time.
  7. Just saw this at the local store, as I was getting in after taking a picture, a little old lady came out with her grocery cart. Amazing.
  8. I am honestly surprised stock holders have not sued and demanded Musks Head on a platter. https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/tesla-stock-price-stats-put-stock-plunge-into-perspective-2019-5-1028228512#shares-have-been-cut-in-half-since-musk-s-funding-secured-tweet5 WOW ?
  9. I agree that I can see China buying them, but they will keep the Tesla factory here just let everyone go, automate the rest of the place and bring in their own people to live in dorms. This would give them an access opening to the US market. Then as they finish up the Chinese factory start production there for the local market.
  10. How? Tomatoes make me ill. I have to disagree with that above statement. Sorry.
  11. LOL, I also was exposed to Led Zepplin later in life, grew up on Big Band music, played trumpet and piano in the past, now just listen to others more talented than I was. Stray Cats and Depeche Mode were my jam!
  12. This is totally understandable, the Avengers / Iron Man movies have made peoples interest in electric Audi's rise. I read somewhere that they were getting requests to buy versions of what Tony Stark was driving. Yet if they think Marvel movies will drive profits for them, I think they lost a seal in that engine some where.
  13. Never have seen the appeal of living in the cities. Suburbans or rural all the way.
  14. Would agree with this as their auto's are very dated in the looks department. Yes they have leading edge tech in the power train, but the style is truly affected by public emotion and right now, what other OEMs have shown are exciting people more than Tesla at the moment is. Tesla really needs a Style update, yet Musk implies they are running out of cash, so I doubt we will see much change.
  15. I understand and like you there is a need for Taxis, yet I prefer to drive my own clean auto than one trashed by people who just want to use it and be held responsible. I also like you think the whole auto sharing future is over blown.
  16. While I am not a fan of using Uber / Lyft / Taxis, I do get their need and appeal to those that would rather use an App to get a ride from A to B. GM if it really wanted to change peoples perception of GM auto's should Market and push using the Best of each model GM has to offer to show off how great their auto's are. I am sure they could find some way to use this as a marketing write off to at least break even showing everything from entry level to luxury level in the Maven family. At least I would hope so.
  17. Bonus today, walking to the bus to head home and all 3 vendors were in close proximity to each other. so gla and glc plus x3 yet all.small autos.
  18. I am not surprised by this for the Diesel. I do wonder how sales will be affected on Diesel. Be interesting to see what sales are this year compared to last year and the year before. Those that want it will eventually get it, but this delay is not good for diesel sales.
  19. I can totally see American as well as Chinese companies wanting to buy Tesla. Makes total sense for a tech company that does want to push into the auto space to buy them especially one with deep pockets like Apple, Microsoft, Google, Huawei, etc.
  20. If GM would actually market it, use a wide selection of auto's from full size trucks and SUVs to compacts, I think they could make money on this. Heck I would have liked to use a full size GM truck over U-Haul. GM just does not get how to support and actually grow new businesses. Sad
  21. @A Horse With No Name Not so sure Apple is that smart, they seemed to have missed the streaming thing, Apple products have not been innovative, Samsung has passed them up. Tim Cook seems to be more on status quo and just keep things consistent than innovating. I suspect Apple will fall back down to where they were in the early 2000's.
  22. Enjoy the Day with the Wife @oldshurst442 I will admit, taking public transit, aka express bus into work every day has cut my gas bill and maintenance down big time. Most of the Uber / lyft drivers are driving compact auto's so not comfy for me compared to our double decker buses here. The ride share programs are all small auto's. Lime uses Fiat 500, ZipCar here is all Honda Civics or Subaru Foresters and Car2Go is MB C-Class or their equal CUV. ReachNow is BMW 3 series with a few X3. For the most part, the auto's are too small for me.
  23. Zipcar and Car2Go are big in Seattle, but I can honestly say the cars are beat up. It is not pretty to see the amount of damage on them. Lime Bike who started in Seattle a couple years back and those ugly lime green bikes everywhere started a Lime Car share program and has ugly Lime Green Fiats all over, but they seem to not be getting used like Zipcar or Car2Go. FYI, I question how long these ride share programs will last. BMW had ReachNow in Seattle and the auto's are still around but have not really gotten much use, just plenty of damage like Car2Go and Zipcar. I see on their web site that ReachNow and Car2Go have merged and will now be known at Reach Now with a new phone app and logo for their joined auto's. You now will have a choice of BMW or MB autos. https://reachnow.com/en/
  24. Car sharing service requires people who careless about the auto so sharing it with others and having nicks, scratches, etc. does not bother them. Most people I believe like to take care of their stuff and as such are not willing to let someone else use it and abuse it.
  25. If the person truly does not care about auto's but does live an active life style, then CUVs and I would say follow consumer reports and get a cheap reliable CUV. If they are not living an active life style, then go car and again, be a CR lemming and just follow what they quote. I a truck might be perfect for someone who cares less about the auto, but just needs to haul stuff and it does not matter if it gets wet or not. Might be a bit too open ended until you know more about the person who will be driving the auto.
