  1. It is in YOUR FAILURE to accept change of Habits. You so want static life that you FAIL to see progress. The early 1900's was not Electrics time due to the lack of proper battery storage. We have that now and constant improvements, so changing the habit to plug in at night so you start each day off full on a 300 mile battery pack is just a change of habit without the petro smell, toxic absorption into the hands, under ground storage, distribution, etc. While I also see their approach to shield themselves from the cost and always potential immediate loss of money as a public trading company where you have to bow to the shareholders, this is smart business sense. As the XFC charging infrastructure grows and as we move away from the Li Ion batteries to Solid State such as Toshiba is building and is going into Nissan and Mitsubishi auto's, we will see this change over much faster than you or others will expect. Most woman and a large amount of men would love to not have to go to the gas station or deal with the maintenance of the current Auto's that go on sale. This is why the 100,000 mile tune up and service became the new norm. Electrics with their minimal service will change this again for humans that do not want to be bothered with service of the ICE variety.
  2. Room to improve? YES How much Toyota is willing to change from their ultra conservative approach to building cars? Not so sure! Always easy to put a new wrapper on the dull candy.
  3. You are right on all the points of Tesla Failure except the last one which is what the discussion is about. The fact that Trumps Trade war is the reason a $35,000 car imported into China has a starting price tag of $75,000 The Trump Trade War is hurting business ability to sell into China for American Businesses.
  4. So true, but would Leaking Electrons be more or less dangerous than leaking petro? ? We know leaking electrons around leaking petro is very bad. BIG BADDA BOOM!
  5. I thought unlike the American brands that dominate the US, Toyota Trucks seem to dominate the Global market, so could this not just be a global platform that will replace trucks everywhere and finally the US will get the same Truck that has dominated the rest of the planet meaning Ford, GM & RAM you have been put on Notice? ?
  6. Interesting read on why Dyson will beat Tesla in the electric car war! Can The Dyson Vacuum Cleaner Guy Build A Better Electric Car Than Tesla's Elon Musk? http://flip.it/mdE6P5
  7. Thank you, Fixed that! I agree, need a class in leaking ignitions!
  8. Ummmmm, OK, I know I am an engineer, but what are you saying? ?
  9. Explain please, How is the current presidents trade war not responsible for higher cost across the board to exporting and importing into both countries?
  10. Have to say that this is very nice looking for the class and I actually like the exterior looks over the Mazda. If I was just starting out in life and wanted a new car versus used, I would consider this if I could fit in it.
  11. It is a Chicken or the Egg situation. Charging is everywhere, but fast charging requires investment and if GM truly wants their Electric Auto's to take off and sell, then you have to invest in the infrastructure. ICE Auto's where this way in the late 1800's / early 1900's. Those that invest will win I believe. Tesla wins in this regards as they have been building their charging setup for the customers to use. Tesla's biggest problem is Musk and his quick lose of interest once something becomes mainstream versus the shiny new toy and distractions with tunneling, Mars, Narcissistic Look At Me! syndrome.
  12. One would have thought this would have gotten more play, but some how it just has been swept under the rug compared to GM's ignition break. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ford-explorer-lawsuits-exhaust-leak-carbon-monoxide/
  13. Yo Willis, what up with those number's?
  14. 86 Aero Coupe Monte Carlo SS and 95 Impala SS both I really loved, but so unappreciated cars. Would love to have both in their maroon color.
  15. Interesting that both GM and Bechtel want to build out this but not invest their own cash. Very weird.
  16. Amazing what pops out in spring around my neighborhood.
  17. @ocnblu You should love this story! Tesla is now doomed. The EV dream will soon come crashing down. Here is why, and how it will end. http://flip.it/HoyL3J
  18. I take RJ at Rivian over Musk. Musk needs to go, he is hurting Tesla more than helping.
  19. Best thing that could happen is for them to merge, global recession hit and they can then finally close all the inefficient factories and the French workers will revolt and hell will happen on earth!
  20. It does help keep the miles low for resell as a CPO!
  21. Sexy As hell! Thank you for snapping it!
  22. At least GM has not had an Exhaust gassing leak into the main cabin issue that Ford has had with their Explorers. Amazing after the last few years, they still cannot seem to fix where or how the exhaust gas is getting into the cabin and gassing the owners.
  23. Saw a brand new Gladiator from the local Jeep store. Had it's 90 days paper in the rear window. Fire Engine Red. Not bad.
