  1. Not this EV lover, I know where the Beef is and the Taste of Organic is much better than laced with Toxic Diesel.
  2. Maybe for their EV version of a CUV and use Electra for a EV Car? ?
  3. According to https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a27156309/cadillac-ct5-v-future-performance-sedan/ The Debute is tomorrow on the 30th, not today on the 29th.
  4. I am still using Opera on my desktop at home, but have gone to Edge also. Mixed feelings about bookmarks and little details, but over all Edge is working actually pretty good too. Mixed as Opera does stuff nicely that Edge does not do but Edge does stuff Opera does not. All little nit picking things. Firefox is dead to me, having way too many problems with it. Chrome seems to be hit or miss based on the build. Very weird.
  5. Especially if you are running vSphere or any other suite of software from VMware.
  6. Excited by the 10 and 7 nm process of building Intel and AMD chips, but tired of all the security issues that upon patching like @Drew Dowdell stated sucks the power away. I am surprised no one has pushed to force Intel and AMD to recall chips and replace with newer ones that give the power plus the security.
  7. Ya need to go with the 502 Ramjet with the T56 manual! ?
  8. Perfect for you and your mate to go driving down the coast with the top down!
  9. True, but at least it would allow you to use other chargers. I figure give it time and like Tesla is doing in China, they will eventually either drop their proprietary plug or add the CCS one to the auto's.
  10. Yup Tesla sells that adapter. Makes a wonderful gift for the Tesla owner on the go! https://shop.tesla.com/us/en/product/vehicle-accessories/sae-j1772-charging-adapter.html
  11. Yup, since Tesla says their $35,000 Model 3 has to be sold for $75,000 in China due to Tariffs, I figure I would play on that with the Buick coming here and we just double the price.
  12. Some cool news of the Day! Hennesy is building a 1000HP Gladiator with the Hellcat Engine - https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1123320_jeep-gladiator-based-2020-hennessey-maximus-1000-revealed-with-1000-horsepower Long Shot EV maker Byton has finished crash testing and cold weather testing in inner Mongolia and is now doing heat testing and is on target to begin mass production later this year with sales to start in China, mid 2020 in America and late 2020 in Europe. Funny the jabs they take at Tesla in the story below. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1123276_byton-readies-for-china-production-of-45k-us-bound-electric-suv Interesting read on VW's battery battle it is having with it's suppliers. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1123294_50-billion-vw-battery-plan-could-need-revamp-after-samsung-cuts-back Final interesting story is that Chevron and EVGo has signed an agreement and opened their first Gas / Charge station for public use of high speed charging with both Nissan funky connector and the industry standard CCS plug. As EVGo builds out charging at California Chevron stations, Chevron will monitor and could possibly as early as late 2020 make it a national contract to add Charging to the thousands of gas stations Chevron operates in North America. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1123206_want-to-charge-up-evgo-builds-chargers-at-chevron-gas-stations
  13. Nissan does not own the batteries. Owners can go to 3rd party garages to have the batteries replaced, but it does take a special lift to support, unbolt and drop the battery pack down. Nissan is building much like Tesla and GM Wall power packs with the old batteries since they can still handle a charge, usually 70 to 80% of the cells work. As such you get a storage device for solar or wind power generation. Nissan is looking at both commercial and residential aspects of reusing the old batteries rather than just recycling them. GM does this with the VOLT batteries as does Tesla.
  14. Interesting read, but the Data collected so far is showing that the batteries in a Nissan Leaf should last 22 years and then 2nd life in energy storage past that. Nissan is exploring other options of profit generation once the batteries need to come out of the auto's. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/nissan-leaf-batteries-should-last-22-years/
  15. Seems Nissan has officially blessed this merger! https://www.autonews.com/automakers-suppliers/nissan-sees-no-major-downside-fca-renault-merger
  16. $30,000 CUV with Tariffs special price of $59,999 Be interesting to see how this plays out versus building it locally here in an under utilized factory. ?
  17. Here is a Cutlass for you for sale: https://cars.trovit.com/listing/1972-oldsmobile-cutlass.U1v1z1h1MI1v1D Or you can go the 442 route: https://cars.trovit.com/listing/1968-oldsmobile-442.1NE1iVvg1HJ
  18. Good Read: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/05/more-than-30-years-of-us-trade-with-china-in-one-chart/ This also was a very interesting read: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/05/will-dysfunctional-politics-finally-end-the-american-century/
  19. That is a 2012 data very old/out of date. https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=727&t=6 Here is the current info from the actual GOV:
  20. Seems Tesla original founder is back at it to create solid state AI /ML battery packs for the EV industry. Tesla founder launches new electric car battery startup and there’s a twist http://flip.it/bWjvCN
  21. Based on all the interviews with Marry Barra and her focus on EV's is to keep things static with tweak updates till the EV products hit the showroom. Very clear that their focus is on AWD / RWD / FWD EVs I think. https://thenewswheel.com/gm-predicts-ev-profitability-will-happen-within-the-next-decade/
  22. Yes there has been a trade war going on for a long time, but the tariffs on electric cars jumped up big time. Before Trumps Trade war, the Tariff was 10% on importing an Electric car, after trump announced tariffs of 25% on Chinese goods, China then went 100% tariff on select items of which Tesla was one of them causing the auto to double in cost according to Bloomberg story on past and current trade war.
  23. Got it, is there no Tundra equal that Toyota sells globally? Did not realize the Hilux was smaller than the Tacoma.
  24. Cheaper to build FWD or more profitable as they save money due to being focused on EVs is my guess!
