  1. I think the Hummer by GMC and the rest of the EV line up will prove to be very desirable. An auto that has passion with less required maintenance will serve people well. Excited for what is coming and willing to give Mary a chance to prove everyone wrong about passion for auto's. If they do not deliver with quality exterior / interior EVs, than I would agree with you that it is time for new leadership.
  2. This has the right marking TRD or Turd, such a plastic POS like the Ford interiors of the 90's
  3. Best thing about the Chevy Spark was the funny twins in Transformers, otherwise a totally forgettable appliance.
  4. Fiber optic Internet, fastest out there.
  5. Cool old auto today. No idea what they are though.
  6. Here is what the Cadillac Catera SHOULD have been. It could be yours as it is up for auction. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-cadillac-catera-2/
  7. I can totally understand that. I used to do that also, but then found slow response from our Durham Datacenter to my needs and my boss asked me if I could change anything what would I change. I said, 2 30" 4K monitors, docking station and a workstation class laptop with 64GB ram and SSD drives. I got it more or less. My laptop is a Dell Precision 5540 with 32GB ram, 4TB NvME HD, Touchscreen with pen, windows 10 64bit, enhanced docking station a USB C charging ports and wireless pad, natural keyboard and wireless mouse. Now I am set to never leave my house for work again. I also got to take my expensive custom office chair and standing desk from our Seattle office.
  8. Building virtual training vApps for our products, I usually upload to my vSphere setup images that run between 500GB to 1 TB in size, so upload I use as heavily as download. I know I am an exception to what most people do. I know the wife already notices a difference in watching her shows on netflix, VUDU, Hulu, YouTubeTV. Have to say that it is much cheaper having these streaming services with internet than using the Fios TV I used to have on FIOS Internet. Was usualy betwen $200 to 300 a month. So happy to be down to about $150 a month for everything. Ziply is who bought out the PNW Frontier FIOS business and is investing heavy to take it to the bleeding edge. Liking what I see so far.
  9. Ziply Fiber is upgrading Washington state to be Gigabit plus internet service. I just got my new ONT, UPS and Router installed. They said by the end of next month I should be able to get a solid 1000/1000 upload and download, but for now, I have near Gig download and upload is ok for now. Went from $127 a month to $60 a month for Giga speed. Nice!!!
  10. Just like reverse swirl on the toilets' then. This makes me wonder about the 1 ton Toyota mini pickups in the 80's if they really could handle the weight. Kind like being named David Felt. I felt you..... So many felt jokes growing up.
  11. Good question, but one that Ford has yet to explain in the design of 4 motors in the back and 3 motors in the front. Might be packaging into a small space versus a bigger motor.
  12. Interesting to learn that Ford had a Mini Ute down under that ran a long life unlike here in the US. https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2020/07/rare-rides-a-1995-ford-falcon-xr6-ute-trucking-with-tickford/
  13. Ford is taking a 1,400 HP Mach E with 7 motors to Nascar to show off what EVs can do. This purpose built concept has an actual hydrolic brake handle to allow drifting in the auto where it disengages the rear 4 motors allowing ultimate drift capability. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1128939_ford-is-taking-a-seven-motor-1400-hp-mustang-mach-e-to-a-nascar-race https://electrek.co/2020/07/21/ford-unveils-one-off-1400-hp-mach-e-a-driftable-suv-with-7-electric-motors/
  14. Is Tesla in Trouble in China? BYD just released their Luxury 4 door EV sedan to compete against Tesla S and it is blowing away the public and orders exceed production right now. How is this possible? BYD has delivered their luxury sedan starting at $40,000 which includes real wood panels, nappa leather upholstery and aluminum trim. It comes standard with 11 airbags, six cameras, Air purification Hepa filters, 5G connectibity and DiPilot driver assist while delivering a world class leading coefficient of drag of just 0.22. The battery pack is good for 314 miles. Curb weight is 4,400 lbs, 196 inches long, 75.2 inches wide and 59.9 inches high and rides on a 115 inch wheelbase. On top of this, they give you a choice on the orientation of their middle major screen. You can have it in Portrait mode or Landscape mode. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1128931_byd-han-ev-luxury-sedan-arrives-in-china-tesla-model-s-sized-about-40k For comparison here is the current 2020 Tesla S from their web site. I will say the 2020 is better and finally updated, but I think BYD has them.
  15. Reality Image (clearly not real)
  16. ^ If only they did not have the heinous front end!
  17. Watching NetFlix series CURSED https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8210856/ Really good, highly recommend it if you are into Merlin, pre King Arthur etc.
  18. Thank you for that info, it is interesting as carbon fiber can be recycled. The BMW plant in Moses lake here takes all the carbon fiber waste including errors made as they sell the bulk spools to Boeing and they shred it back down and reuse it to form carbon fiber preformed parts. Wonder if the coating on it might have something that makes it not able to be recycled. One would think a filter on a burning plant to burn up the blades to help produce electricity would be better than burring it in the ground.
  19. Biggest racist government paperwork is our every 4 year census. Until they stop asking about race, skin color, etc. which really has no purpose in directing how much tax dollars go to each district to support students, etc. we will have racism. I agree that it would be a nice dream to live and let live, sadly there are those that can never seem to understand that due to one skin, orientation, etc. Like auto's, there are those I will never own, some that are nice, but again will never buy myself and then the personal difference of a truck that one might love and I would dislike. Until we can accept each other regardless of age, sex, race, skin color, etc. and just see a person who we can have a discussion with and agree to disagree with, we will never achieve the equality. So much more that could be said, but on the fringe of political and as such, will say, I enjoy discussing auto's even when some choose to not like my choices. EV eventually baby!
  20. Yes so very true, will be interesting to see how things continue to change. Wife and I started watching the Netflix series Cursed: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8210856/ I have to say it is very enjoyable about before King Arthur and his court. Yet they have also clearly changed it from the all white way with black slaves of the past stories to one that is multi-cultural. Love the woman lead Nimue who has the sword called dragons tooth that is what become Xcaliber.
  21. I will say, I use it on everything including the windows and black trim. Just makes it so reflective and new looking even though it is 12 years old with 165,000 miles on it. Built like a rock!
  22. Cartoons are so racist surprised they have not been removed from the world.
  23. Efficiency will come for wind just like it is improving for batteries. Did the picture say where this is that they are burying wind turbine blades rather than recycling them?
