Latest EV info released. Jeep Wrangler will offer a Professional Performance 2 inch lift kit for the Wrangler 4xe. Off-road lift kit for Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a plug-in hybrid first (greencarreports.com) Car and Driver supposedly got their hands on an Internal Document that shows Ford will offer a new F-150 Lighting performance pickup but on the F-150 EV truck line. Top end will be the Lighting edition which makes total sense here to me. Ford F-150 Lightning Name Will Return for Electric Pickup (caranddriver.com)

Yes, I do not like them over all, but this is the RARE one they actually have that looks decent. Not as decent as GMC, but this one is not bad. Better than I think all the other trims they offer.

Yes GM gave a Look but I would not call them Sporty, just Marketing fluff for added dollars selling to the uninformed who think this is a sports car. Yes these were better than the lower trim levels, but not what any person aware of the auto industry would truly call sporty. Toyota is truly following GM history or tarting up a pig with lipstick. -
I can totally respect that! My mom has fear of High places and Vertigo and she says when she is near places like this bridge, she feels it is sucking her down to the floor far below on top of all the other things she feels. She simply cannot understand my love of high places, edges, etc.

That is a very Sharp looking SUV and way better looking than the Wrangler IMHO. As one who owned a 1994 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition in Green, it was cool at first, then the noise became a pain and eventually the repairs. Traded it in as the only time I did within the same year for my 1994 GMC Suburban. So much better than the wrangler. World longest walking suspension bridge just opened. Very cool!!!

Two sisters from the same mother pretending to be sporty, WOW, Toyota has truly pushed the TRD marketing and I would not waste my hard earned money on either. -
So in other words, not much different than the early decades of ICE before they started to focus on MPG. Some were terrible in comparison to others that did much better for burning fuel based on temperatures. We have to start somewhere and I am sure gm as well as others are looking at the auto's that are out there including Tesla which has been benchmarked by many OEMs in their battery tech. I agree that Zero Degradation is a pipe dream, but I do not seen why with proper engineering of the battery cell, battery packaging and temperature management that you cannot reduce the drop in extreme cold or hot to be a very small thing. Over all, be it BEV or ICE, extreme weather affects all.

I am happy to report that the whole family, Wife, Daughter, Son and Myself are fully vaccinated. My son's girlfriend also got vaccinated. Pfizer is stating a need for booster shots 9 to 12 months after you are fully vaccinated to maintain 100% protection. Seems this will become an annual thing to vaccinate against the virus much like an annual flu shot. Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine Updates: Booster Shots, E.U. Supplies | Nasdaq Pfizer COVID Vaccine Likely Will Need Third Booster Shot, BioNTech CEO Says (newsweek.com) Moderna much like Pfizer is also saying the same thing, booster shots to maintain 100% protection and to take into account variations in the virus. We'll need booster vaccine shots against Covid-19 variants ‘starting this fall,’ says Moderna CEO — RT World News Always good to post the link again for those with questions about the vaccine from the CDC. OK, lets clear some things up. First off there was no interstate as has been pointed out by others here, so ICE auto's was a novelty of the early 1900's for local driving, much the way EVs have started out as Compliance / Commuter auto's. Second, gas stations be it 15,000 or 22,000 were NOT the gas stations of today. You take Case in point 1917 Today 2021 Or the common Costco 32 pump mega gas stations The point being is for 100 years, very common for people to have a gas can to go get gas when they run out and it still happens today as it did in the early 1900's. The Novel rich person toy ICE auto would break down or run out of gas and the next thing was a person on a horse going to the local pump to get some fuel or get it towed in to be repaired. No matter how you look at it, ICE had a hard start to common use and every day sight. You state 60,500 gas stations and yet everywhere I look we peaked in 2016 at 164,200 and as of the end of 2020 the figure I keep finding is 111,000 stations. The difference is a couple pumps in the early 1900's compared to 18 to 32 plus pumps per station today. So yes, I will stick with the fact that the much smaller stations of the early 1900's were not found on every corner everywhere like they are today meaning that some people just might have had to borrow or ride a horse to get fuel if stuck on a road some place in the early days. Difference is that you have AAA today that can come to you and give you a charge so your EV can get to a local charging station or at least to a 110 outlet to trickle charge. EV's have had the same hard start and are becoming more common every day. Benefit of EV's is that if one so CHOOSES, they can install a 220V home charger to ensure just like their cell phone that their auto starts every day off with a full charge. Becoming more and more common. We also see more and more commercial chargers for a fee showing up. Yes ICE will be here till 2200 easily, but that does not mean we cannot also move to better, cleaner and less maintenance needed auto's. Expensive at first, so true just like the common person could not afford the early auto's and Ford helped lower that cost to a mass market purchase for many people. I BELIEVE EV's will get there too. YOUR RIGHT, NO ONE wants to do things the way they were 120 years ago, YET change in habits are slow for some, fast for others and EVs are not your 1900's ICE or EV of that era. Today a little common sense and if you want an EV, you can have one new or used with many more choices coming and YOU CAN CHOOSE to be CHEAP or PAY to have slow or fast charging. Everyone embraces change differently, just look how some of us love our advanced smartphones and others still cling to the past of a flip phone. Nothing wrong and I am not forcing the flip phone users of which my parents are part of that group to change, but lets stop the attacks against new technology and the humans who do want to embrace the change of the auto. If we care about society, our awesome multi-cultural world, then we all should want to do our part to help reduce green house gas, improve quality of life and work to better co-exist with this planet. While you point out the everyone depends on auto's we also have a much more advanced public transit system than we had 120 years ago. There is always ways to get around if the EV owner was irresponsible in plugging in their auto last night to help charge it up. We all have choices and EVs require a change in habits that I understand and accept some are not willing to do. So be it and as we all know, ICE is still here for those that want them even as EVs become more common.

Lets also look at the the cherry picking of this story, they talk about how home charging is 36 miles of range over night only and barely even mention level 2 charging. They also talk about having to look for a fast charger and point to Tesla having a 480 V fast charging network but never state that Tesla is also 110 or 220 V electrical from home due to stupid limits on not having more power than 220V at your house. This is a pathetic ICE attempt to put EVs in a bad light by cherry picking little things. . I get it that there are those that Love the roar of a V8, I also like it, but also I love all things quiet and there is nothing wrong with EV's, YES it requires a change in attitude and approach to plugging in and charging at this point, no different than being in an auto in the early 1900's and having to look for a gas station and hope you have a can to hold the gas if your auto ran out of gas on the road to get some gas back to it. We can make all types of excuses and I will say that many of the people in this very limited study are too lazy to change the way they do things based on the Yahoo story, sadly, no way to really confirm this as the story is cherry picking out of the 33 research papers written, no clear actual study was done. Scott Hardman (0000-0002-0476-7909) - ORCID | Connecting Research and Researchers As such, I again have to say this is an ICE writer with an agenda of making BEVs look bad anyway they can manipulate the data. The original story is not the hatchet job Yahoo has posted. Electric Car Owners Switching to Gas Because Charging Is a Hassle: Study (businessinsider.com) So the 20% of California owners who switched back to ICE was due to the simple truth of not having a Level 2 charger at their apartment or place of work and so charging at 110 was just not functional for them at the time. They never said anything about not liking the auto's, the focus is on the lack of charging infrastructure that even the Business Insider writer pointed out he only had a 110 at home and after 36miles of charge, drove in the morning to work to fully charge up the battery before returning to home. I would say if he is a writer going to cover the EV industry, then he should have paid to have a Level 2 charger installed at home or his work should do this for him. We all know that Apartment dwellers and cheap home owners who are not wanting to install at the early stage a proper charger are not the audience for ownership yet. Common sense, I could go on but this has gotten too long already as I think I made my point.

EV charging to some is a stressful thing, the ability to drive your EV, knowing you can quickly get a recharge and where should be a simple thing and yet range and charging hit the stress level for current and potential owners of BEV products. GM is tirelessly working to provide GM EV owners more confidence and convenience when it comes to EV charging. As stated by GM, the customers need a robust charging experience that makes the transition from ICE to EV seamless and helps to drive mass adoption per Travis Hester, GM's chief EV officer. Quote: “As we launch 30 EVs globally by the end of 2025, Ultium Charge 360 simplifies and improves the at-home charging experience and the public charging experience – whether it’s community-based or road-trip charging.” GM's Ultium Charge 360 holistic charging experience offers the following: Access to Charging: GM will continue to work with a variety of third parties, including charge point operators, electric utilities and government agencies to make home, workplace, public and fleet charging ubiquitous for customers. Mobile Apps: GM will continue to update the GM vehicle mobile apps to provide an even more intuitive mobile experience that makes navigating to a charging station, plugging into a charger and paying for charging simple. Products and Services: To help ensure the transition to an EV is seamless, GM is working to offer EV owners charging accessories and installation services tailored to their lifestyle. For example, GM will cover standard installation of Level 2 charging capability for eligible customers who purchase or lease a 2022 Bolt EUV or Bolt EV in collaboration with Qmerit. GM's continued progress on it's EV infrastructure strategy is as follows: GM now has signed agreements with seven major charging providers: Blink Charging, ChargePoint, EV Connect, EVgo, FLO, Greenlots and SemaConnect. Through their GM vehicle mobile apps, EV customers will soon be able to easily see real-time information from nearly 60,000 charging plugs throughout the U.S. and Canada, find stations along a route and initiate and pay for charging. The first GM and EVgo sites are now live in Washington, California and Florida, nine months after a commitment to add more than 2,700 fast chargers in cities and suburbs by the end of 2025 was first announced. Each site is capable of delivering up to 350 kilowatts and averages four chargers per site. GM and EVgo are on track to have approximately 500 fast charging stalls live by the end of 2021. As GM continues to update Ultium Charge 360, they will also be including new elements and collaborations. GM Ultium Platform is powering the Cadillac LYRIQ, GMC Hummer EVs and the Chevrolet Silverado electric pickup to start with many more models to come. The Ultium Charge 360 will help you optimize the use of your Ultium platform with a GM-estimated range of up to 450 miles on a full charge. GM's multiple announcements over the last two years shows it's rapid advancement in moving to an all-electric, zero-emissions future making EV ownership easier for all. GM revealed its proprietary Ultium Platform that will allow the company to compete for nearly every customer in the market today. GM committed more than $27 billion to EV and AV product development through 2025, including $7 billion in 2021, and plans to launch 30 EVs globally by the end of 2025, with more than two-thirds available in North America. Cadillac, GMC, Chevrolet and Buick will all be represented, with EVs at all price points for work, adventure, performance and family use. In July 2020, GM and EVgo announced plans to triple the size of the nation’s largest DC fast charging network over the next five years. In March 2020, GM announced it is adding 3,500 new EV charging plugs throughout its U.S. and Canadian facilities for employees. In February 2020, GM made enhancements to Energy Assist, making it easier for GM EV owners to find an available public charging station and initiate a charging session. In August 2019, GM announced a collaboration with Qmerit, which manages a nationwide network of certified EV charger installers, simplifying the home charging experience. In collaboration with Qmerit, Chevrolet will cover standard installation of Level 2 charging capability for eligible customers who purchase or lease a 2022 Bolt EUV or Bolt EV. Unlike GM's competition focusing only on select charging companies, GM is taking an all in approach allowing for 60,000 and growing charging points across North America. Working with all companies and the EVgo effort, GM is on track to have 500 fast charging stalls live by the end of 2021 supporting the Ultium 800V 350 kWH battery / Powertrain system. The Union VP Terry Dittos is an Idiot. Union wages here in the US are too high to support low entry level EV products just like ICE products and as such, you need to have a lower wage production to cover all areas. Just look at the Asian auto makers who build their entry level auto's in cheap labor markets and import them here for sale to cover that market. At least GM is doing it with a North America country rather than some place over seas. This is a POSTIVE for people to get low cost EVs.

Just saw a B&W Volvo XC40 next to a MB GLA and Volvo Wins hands down as a far better looking crossover. Square and straight to the back, not coupe like and not squeezed pinch a load look like MB has on their crossovers. Really impressed with the Volvo compared to MB which is a styling Fail.

@A Horse With No Name Totally agree, brothers in awe of Asian woman. We got married on a tight budget but a few years later took my wife to get her the glamor portrait she deserved in her wedding dress. My wife Sun Felt! ?
