  1. I sent my flame mail in a form of stating the facts and scolding them for their poor research on the topic before they just rip millions of Hard Working Americans for the job they have done.
  2. Nice to finally see TRUE non-Bias reporting.
  3. Talk about some redneck idiots. This should and hopefully go no where.
  4. Thank you balthazar, you are correct, the list is to answer outdated and erroneous perceptions about our own Auto Industry. People remember we started this industry and we can not afford to let it go, this country cannot survive on just service jobs alone. We must wake up and realize that is nothing wrong with hard work and being able to produce product as long as we also realize that not every job is a $100,000 a year job. In regards to GXT, I am amazed you are even on this web site when you seem to be so AntiAmerican Auto. Why be here with people that believe in American products and jobs and knows that GM along with FORD and Chrysler need to make Changes still to continue to get back to building World Class leading products.
  5. Lets start by firing all these over paid CEO's, selling off the multiple Corp. Jets and get real about the executive staff taking cuts along with the assembly line workers to save the companies. Also start by killing off Pontiac, Buick and Hummer. Merge luxury models from Buick into Cadillac as their low end entry level auto's. Merge Pontiac, Saturn and Hummer auto's into GMC End result Chevy - GMC - Cadillac. Yes I own 3 Cadillac's (cts, srx & escalade) I own 1 Hummer H2 and my trusty 94 GMC Suburban with 300K miles and still runs awesome. Great for camping. But time to clean house and make rapid changes to minimize the hurt and get to a true competitive level.
  6. I for one have never been a fan of Wagoneer, but many on this site have been and so I have kept quite, yet while I sent the following out to friends and family to support the Auto Loans, I have since had a change of heart after seeing that only the Chrysler CEO was willing to work for a dollar a day and non of them would be willing to give up their private corporate Jet, let alone why not share one jet to go to DC or take commercial transport. The UAW is a legacy part of the over all problem, but the existing executive staff is the other problem. They still think they are supperior to everyone else and a class above. If they really cared about the companies, the jobs and America they would be willing to giveup their perks to save money and find a better way to deal with this issue. As it stands, I see 3 greedy CEO's that Need to Go! Myth No. 1 Nobody buys their vehicles. Reality General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC sold 8.5 million vehicles in the United States last year and millions more around the world. GM outsold Toyota by about 1.2 million vehicles in the United States last year and holds a U.S. lead over Toyota of about 560,000 so far this year. Globally, GM in 2007 remained the world's largest automaker, selling 9,369,524 vehicles worldwide -- about 3,000 more than Toyota. Ford outsold Honda by about 850,000 and Nissan by more than 1.3 million vehicles in the United States last year. Chrysler sold more vehicles here than Nissan and Hyundai combined in 2007 and so far this year. Myth No. 2 They build unreliable junk. Reality The creaky, leaky vehicles of the 1980s and '90s are long gone. Consumer Reports recently found that "Ford's reliability is now on par with good Japanese automakers." The independent J.D. Power Initial Quality Study scored Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Mercury, Pontiac and Lincoln brands' overall quality as high or higher than that of Acura, Audi, BMW, Honda, Nissan, Scion, Volkswagen and Volvo. Power rated the Chevrolet Malibu the highest-quality midsize sedan. Both the Malibu and Ford Fusion scored better than the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Myth No. 3 They build gas-guzzlers. Reality All of the Detroit Three build midsize sedans the Environmental Protection Agency rates at 29-33 miles per gallon on the highway. The most fuel-efficient Chevrolet Malibu gets 33 m.p.g. on the highway, 2 m.p.g. better than the best Honda Accord. The most fuel-efficient Ford Focus has the same highway fuel economy ratings as the most efficient Toyota Corolla. The most fuel-efficient Chevrolet Cobalt has the same city fuel economy and better highway fuel economy than the most efficient non-hybrid Honda Civic. A recent study by Edmunds.com found that the Chevrolet Aveo subcompact is the least expensive car to buy and operate. Myth No. 4 They already got a $25-billion bailout. Reality None of that money has been lent out and may not be for more than a year. In addition, it can, by law, be used only to invest in future vehicles and technology, so it has no effect on the shortage of operating cash the companies face because of the economic slowdown that's killing them now. Myth No. 5 GM, Ford and Chrysler are idiots for investing in pickups and SUVs. Reality The domestic companies' lineup has been truck-heavy, but Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz and BMW have all spent billions of dollars on pickups and SUVs because trucks are a large and historically profitable part of the auto industry. The most fuel-efficient full-size pickups from GM, Ford and Chrysler all have higher EPA fuel economy ratings than Toyota and Nissan's full-size pickups. Myth No. 6 They don't build hybrids. Reality The Detroit Three got into the hybrid business late, but Ford and GM each now offers more hybrid models than Honda or Nissan, with several more due to hit the road in early 2009. This also does not include the early electric Auto’s that GM had built and leased in the late 90’s but could not get sold outside of California.
  7. Where are the babes? I want a nice long legged, curvy Brunett or Asian to dance with.
  8. Nice looking car, but I like my SUV's better. Good Luck, looks like a good deal for someone that likes these cars.
  9. If the Detroit big 2 are allowed to go under, we will see a recession worse than the 1928 depression. It amazes me how many people out in the press and in the local area say who cares, let them go under. Yes I know the executives and UAW are totally to blame, but due to the millions of jobs that are at stake, this country cannot afford to let them go bankrupt. The Tax payers have already bailed out the airline industry and taken on their pentions for the unions, I can see this also happening with the auto industry. Going to be an interesting first year for Obama.
  10. Best thing to do every morning is to do crunches and work out all the gas from over night then you are Gas-X free all day naturally.
  11. Morning All, This review is awesome, about time we got people to realize just how good American Auto's really are! Enjoy the review.
  12. Fast
  13. Actually both Obama and McCain are in DC right now working on this issue as they sit down with the lame duck President W and the leaders of the House and Senate to finsh the details. I respect both for going back to help get this done, but Obama is the one showing he can handle multiple things like a good president should be able to do. He has clearly stated in the press that if McCain does not show up on Friday he will hold the time on National TV as a town hall meeting and answer anything and everything. He is being very open and approachable to the press and people unlike McCain and his hidden VP Choice who is only let out for Photo Ops.
  14. Either one I think would be better than a religous nut as president or one that believes for the sake of manipulating people to give them power.
  15. Glad to hear that you and your family are safe and fine. Sucks to have lost power, a nice tree, shed and an old Jimmy but if that was it, you were very lucky! H'mmm Could it be an Arcadia? My first guess on the GME'd game
  16. No Problem, we would remove that issue of having religion try and tell everyone how to live and what to believe.
  17. Ven, I still think that luxury will not buy into having the Escalade downsize into the Lambda platform.
  18. NOPE, No differant than the GOP's addiction to OIL and Defense contractors.
  19. Or as the truth probably is, due to the corrupt republican controlled electronic voting machine companies that refuse to give a paper receipt as proof of the actual vote. That would mean that the 04 Election was fraud due to the electronic machines stealing the election. Course that Conspiracy theory will never get a chance to be proven due to those companies not willing to open their door to review and the software that is on those machines.
  20. True the Democrats have their own double standards, that is why I consider myself an Independant. Personally, the VP should be voted on their own merit as well as the P. This would mean you could vote for the best person possible for the white house. McCain / Biden would do well, at least better than Obama / Palin could. Who knows if this really was a free country we could end up with an Athiest Independant President and a Democratic or Republican VP. Course this would also mean getting rid of the Joke of a system call the college and allowing the true popular vote to decide the election rather than an elite group of people.
  21. Very true since the last two elections have shown that we need major change due to the corrupt college.
  22. So true, the GOP is very good at double standards, do what I tell you not what I do BS. Pathetic.
  23. People will realize that this country can not handle 4 more years of the same under McCain, I suspect we will see more states become Blue.
  24. I totally agree, this platform has NO PLACE in the Cadillac Division. :smilies-38096:
  25. Who cares if it comes from France, this is a global economy, so location means nothing to me.
