  1. At this Point I expect Chrysler to go into Bankrupcty, there are many reports out today that the people who hold the Billions in debt want it for both GM and Chrysler as it will give them huge write off's that can be spread over the next few years to off set profits as the economy comes back. On that note, I suspect we will see a vastly differant company emerge if they do at all. End play could be we see Dodge sold off to on out of country company that wants in on the truck business and recovery and Jeep sold to someone who wants a solid 4x4 business and chrysler becomes a history lesson. Sad, but the end result of greed and stupidity by upper mgmt and Unions. The unions will be crying foul, Canada has alrady said they will cover the union pensions. Another burden on the tax payers there. I suspect like the US did for the over paid airline unions we the tax payers will get stuck with their Union pensions also. Hopefully if that does happen they keep it the same as they did to the airlines and that is they will only honor 75% of the persons monthly income and NO benefits, meaning they have to come up with their own insurance just like the rest of us who only have 401K programs. Going to be an interesting year in the Auto Business.
  2. Post your pictures of the worst winter damage you have ever seen to an auto!
  3. Post your sweetest rides or power point shows of sweet rides. Sweet Rides Pterry amazing rides.
  4. So true, they should be focused on the mid level market not competeing with their entry level cousins. Idiots need to wake up and GM needs to smack them with stupidity and call them that as they are not doing their job in the mid market.
  5. Actually this is not bad looking. not what I would buy but not bad looking.
  6. Jeans, Polo shirts or the occasional t shirt. Have only a few pairs of dress pants and nice shirts to match for the occasion, but as an engineer, I do not need to look sales man style, so I keep it pretty casual.
  7. Waitress
  8. Today a lovely 2008 Denali Hybrid. Seems one of my sales people decided to upgrade his 06 Denali to the hybrid version. Very nice.
  9. I would agree with that.
  10. Damn Frankenstien Engineers, they need to grow up.
  11. Pasta
  12. wow I ahve to say that it truly shocked me. I hope it is truly what it appears to be and that she does very well.
  13. Still looks like a mini van, a nice one at that. I will pass on it.
  14. WOW Thanks for sharing, I will remember to avoid that area if I drive cross country.
  15. I have been waiting and waiting to buy a new suburban with a Diesel but now am plannign on redoing my 94 with a duramax since GM has failed to realize the instant gain in doubling their EPA Milage. This would be an exceptional help in their CAFE levels. I really do not understand how they can spend 500 million and then kill it off when they have a solution for taking from the teens to the mid 20's in milage with this engine.
  16. Moron, I hope the public backs Holden and shuts this moron up. Idiots like him just are self absorbed assholes who really know very little about the industry they write about.
  17. DOOH, this is why I will never give up my Suburban, Hummer or Escalade. Safety first above fuel efficiency.
  18. NonAmerican
  19. I agree with allot of what Riccer says.
  20. Now that I have seen the rest of the pics, I strongly stand by my statement. This was the WRONG EXCITEMENT for Pontiac. This is NOT the type of auto this brand needs.
  21. DF Nice job on the Door Alignment. Better than I have seen some shops do. I think in regards to the door trim, you will need to scrap it off and reaply it with fresh doubl stick tap to get them to match up. The other issues I would leave to the body shop as I think they will need a bit more work. The gap issue on the bumper could be shrinking plastic or more I think a missaligned bumper facia. The gap issue by the headlight is I suspect a brocken bracket that will need to be replaced unless the attachement point on the bumper is broken and then you will just have to replace the facia if you really want it correct or there is some short cuts you can do to get it to hold in, but never know what cold weather can do to cause it to break and pop again. Rust is easy to sand and prime unless it is all the way through, then you will want the body shop to do a cut and patch and they can grind it smooth and get it to look right. Over all easy body work for a person who does it for a living, nice learning points for someone that wants to learn. Good luck on your paint job.
  22. On the other side of the hall, an electrician, Kurt Moore of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., sat in a Toyota Highlander and explained why he was not going to buy American anytime soon. “You know how they say, ‘Never buy a car made on a Monday or a Friday?’ ” he said, getting comfortable in the passenger seat. “It’s because the people building the cars aren’t focused on the job. Well, how well do you think they’re focused today, with all this talk about how they’re going to lose their jobs?” ------------------------------------------------ Guess in regards to supporting his fellow Union buddy, this electrician has said screw you, but he fails to realize just how bad Toyota has had recently with their own products exploding or at least having major failures from engine cams, ball joints, body cracks on the unibody FJ Cruiser, etc. Every auto company has good times and bad. Fortunatly the last 9 years has seen everyone pick up their game and come out with better and better products, especially the Detroit 3, they just need a better message to get the word out and counter Idiot Consumer Reports and others. Sadly all Companies seem to go through up and down times and Toyota is entering their own down time. The next few years are going to be very interesting.
  23. Link seems to be broken, but from the pic above, that is sure an UGLY CAR and NOT EXCITEMENT that Pontiac needs.
