  1. You funny man, I just realized you live in my state, Washington. I work in Downtown Kirkland. Nice job on blanking out the back license numbers. OOPS, I think you forgot about the front plate! So where are you located?
  2. Back at you Dud, Work got me tied up and as we can all respect, keeping the job is formost. But Congrats that is a nice ride even though it is not American :smilies-38096:
  3. Dude, Sorry to hear you might loose your job. I wish you all the best and leave you with a thought to think about. Start your own company, Yup in this down economy, there are areas that have upside potential. Think about all the foreclosed homes, condo's, townhomes etc. Banks need to maintain these properties, you could start your own company very cheaply and go around cleaning them up, maintaining the landscaping etc for a fee. Good money in it when done right. Good luck, I know everyone here is hoping that all ride out this economic storm with minimal heartache.
  4. My Wife and I have a CTS and are planning on retiring it as we have the Escalade ESV for hauling family and friends, she wants something more fun to drive for her and I to be in and the Coupe I love more than the 4 door sedan. This is on my list of Auto's to shop for. I suspect that SoCalCTS had underestimated the demand for a coupe in the mid size category. My grandfather who has always driven Cadillacs still has his Eldorado and loves it. I showed him the photo's of this and loved it and said it will finally make him trade in his Eldorado as he would like an American Luxury mid size coupe, but there has not been anything and he refuses to support German or Asian companies. He has already gone and put his name on the purchase list at his local Caddy dealership in CA where he lives. This car will sell well to the coupe crowd.
  5. Product line DEAD! I saw today that GM has confirmed that Saturns will be closed by 2011. So we really only have this year and next before they are history.
  6. I think this is a Prototype anyway as to why the stickers are so beat up, the label that mentions this does not meet emissions tends to imply this is a test mule built for the autoshow and probably actually used in real testing. I suspect you will not see the peeling stickers on a production Auto.
  7. -------------------------------------------- PLEASE STOP THIS CALLING IT A WASTE OF TAX PAYERS MONEY!!! The Rich Theives called Bankers / Financial companies have stolen and are wasting Taxpayers money and have NO OBLIGATION to pay it back!!! THESE are LOANS that will be PAID BACK and as such, will be up to them based on the guidlines of the loans to use to hopefully rescue our American Auto Companies. In regards to this CTS Coupe, I have to say that the Photo would appear to be a base model and will sell very well to couples and single men and woman who want to get a foot hold into the luxury segment. The mid level and upper level versions will be hot. Especially once people start to customize the Auto. I can see some Great versions coming to Sema this Fall. :smilies-38096:
  8. I still have my first big Rig, 1994 Model GMC Suburban SLE 1500 2wd. I love it as I am 6'6" tall and 275lb. So I can ride in total Comfort. I took out the 350 and bore it out to a 402, running 505 HP, 550lb torque. Dual 3" exhuast, People get out of my way as I fly by, sports cars are always suprised at how quick I am off the line. I added a 3 inch lift kit with 32" BFgoodrich All Terrain tires on 20" rims. The only thing is the required Premium gas, but over all I love it. Been running it this way for the last 7 years. New Project on this bad ass Burb is I am changing it over to Diesel. Adding a 2" body lift kit so I can stuff in a Duramax with allison 6 speed tranny. I love the large 44 gallon gas tank that came with the 94 Suburbans as I can go 500+ miles on gas and with Diesel, I should be able to get around 750 at least. I love road trips and camping in it. Now for those of you who think this is a big job or ask how I have planned it out. There is a company in Montana that took 3 years and for $100 you can buy their manual with all pictures included on who to do this conversion and have it look like it came off the factory assembly line. Here is their home page: The Diesel Page Here is the actual page within their web site for the book: Duramax Conversion for all GM Trucks and SUV's The upside of our down economy is instead of buying the engine, tranny and wireing harness, I have been looking for a used crewcab Duramax Diesel and have decided to buy a used one as it will have everything I need to convert my baby to Diesel. Take a bad ass ride like this in front of those Eco Freaks that drive around here in Seattle and it is always amazing to see their face. You can see the color drain from the face when I come up behind them in my ride.
  9. GREAT JOB TED!!! Thanks for sharing with us, really enjoyed it. Being here in Seattle, we always get our Auto Show in November and so always late to see the new stuff. Thanks again,
  10. So we know it is an Audi with a 3 liter engine, so I guess A6 3.2 AVANT 2004.
  11. I Love that Corvette, I want one. Please build it and they will come even in this down economy. Totally Rocks.
  12. NOW Back to our Current Auto Conversation, Broken Door handles are dull, lets talk about some of the current Recalls! Auto Recalls Web Site This place rocks, great place to check out what is current.
  13. :gay: :rotflmao: I can actually relate, I am happily married and have a friend / coworker who I met the first time back in 1989 that we both interviewed for the same job. He used to politly hit on me all the time until he met my wife and relized that some of us are actually very straight nice guys. Now when we get together and go out to a movie or dinner and such, his friends depending on what they say get a version of this: He is married and straight, If and when he becomes available he is mine. In regards to my response, I just thank them for their interest and compliments, but not interested and leave it at that.
  14. Yes we would not want any Blue screens with an informative error number that would actually tell us what is wrong! Great, if it is Apple, we end up with a stupid blank screen and a ? mark, if Linux we end up with a stupid CLI and a Kernal dump that is even worse than the Windows Blue Screen. Sadly, they all have their pro's and Cons. As a computer Software engineer, I have come to refuse to work on the MAC CRAP, I will only do what is needed on the stupid Linux world and with Windows, I preferre to go with a locked down server Kernal. They have truly proven reliable. Funny thing is that I was on an Airbus plan to Germany and the entertainment system crashed showing it was being run by Free BSD. One of the Flight attendants told the other girl it always does that about half way through the trans altantic flight and just unplug the system and plug it back in and it will come up. Then just credit anyone who complains about loosing what ever they paid for. What a joke. At least I believe we all will see a somewhat reliable software and hopefully much better than what we have seen out of Toyota. Plus it would be nice to have more frequent updates than how the nav updates happen. Buy a 2006 Escalade and in 2008 you can finally get an updated DVD that actually shows the updates from 2006 let alone 2007. Always years behind what is current.
  15. This just like all of the past versions just is a bland jellybean look to it. Anyone as is mentioned above that thinks this is bland but likes Honda's need to get their vision checked. This is a bit nicer looking than the current ungly Honda's. Seems Honda is coping GM's designs from the late 80's and earlu 90's as there is nothing new out of Honda. Drive train does sound nice though. Gotta love power with AWD.
  16. Creamy Cheesy Mac -n- Cheese with a crunchy top, Oven Baked. Love Indian Food Love Korean and Japan Food. Course went to college in Japan. Nothing better than Sushi and a woman who pours the beer into your mouth with a kiss. American Some German, Yup my german relative would kill me. Just about willing to try almost anything at least once and then I can say I do not like it. Woman and Food what better combo.
  17. French Wine and Woman Darn more than one word
  18. This is really bland, not impressed.
  19. This is way sad, The ultimate Granola, Tree Huggin state, They do have an awesome Pino Wine region, but this is just stupid. They tax everyone with a stupid income tax, they cannot seem to maintain roads and they are cutting services and school employees due to low incoming dollars to pay for their social agenda that does not work. This does not help anything. This is about as bright as California and their stupid you cannot change anything from OEM spec. Ever heard about putting in a more fuel efficient engine than that old V8 in that 1969 fastback Mustange. Then my state Washington had to follow California about crap and thank goodness they have not done the stupid stuff of Oregon. This law needs to be beatin down and not allowed to pass. Talk about the thousands of jobs it will cost as companies go out of business. About as stupid as they insisting on pumping gas and not bothering about if they scratch your auto or not or spill gas on it. A stupid state with a bunch of stupid people.
  20. Hey Oldsmoboi, It might help your case if you explain what specifically you are calling 68 out for. I know, probably like most members, we try and stay on top of all issues and threads but this one has me blank as to what this has to do with Auto's or what you are calling him out about. Please elaborate so we all can understand the challange. Thank you,
  21. Not Surprising, I heard on the radio this morning that they expect a large portion to be here in the US, since this market is their largest and right now most expensive. I suspect we will see Toyota by summer slash it's labor force. I do not think any auto company will be able to avoid not slashing labor.
  22. SWEET! you can not get a better combination of Transformers, Megan Fox and a AutoShow. This year just got a bunch brighter! Lucky Dog's to those local that will be able to go and check this out. I hope some Cheers and Gears folks will get to go and snap a bunch of pics for the rest of us to drool over.
