  1. Sad but true that they will probably axe these product when a rebadge on the G8 could very easily bring excitement to the Buick label and give people that step up from a FWD Monte Carlo to a RWD Grand National auto. Too bad the auto Zars are not listening more to the public as I think the public is all for saving American companies and there are plenty of good Ideas out there for them to use.
  2. Over all Corolla is an Eco Box, whether you like Asian built, European Built or American Built Auto's, these type of cars are usually frugal, cheap and nothing impressive. On a personal Note, even though the auto is not built in america, I would still SUPPORT GM as the profits stay with an American Company here and will tend to support American jobs rather than buy from toyota and have the profits go back to Japan as an example. Over All, I would suggest and recomment a cobalt ove the Corolla any day.
  3. Death of Pontiac while sad is not unexpected. It would be very possible for the G8 to be moved over to Buick so that it becomes the New Grand Natioanl. just a thought. But at least they still have the right 3 step selling of Chevy, step up to Buick/GMC step up to Cadillac. love all that is left still.
  4. My Friends Resturant has Breakfast all day long, of course they are only open from 6am to 3pm as they only do breakfast and Lunch. Now with that said they have the best bacon in the world. They use premium extra thick Pepper bacon. It is always well cooked and no grease as they dry it off so you get a nice thick piece of bacon and you can even get them a bit crunch if you like. Never burnt. Perasonally I love their farmers plate. Cube Potatoes with 3 eggs, onions, chives, 6 slices of bacon all diced up, seasonnings and the who thing is put on a hot plate and covered in your choice of cheese. Come all melty and yummy. Big meal but oh so worth it. In regards to Eggs over medium, that is what the hash browns are for and any yoke left over you use your Biscuit to mop it up and leave a clean plate.
  5. As my friend who is a chef said, as long as the internal heat hits 160 you are Bacteria free. This is why Red Robin Gourmet Burger Joint asks you if you want it Rare, Med Rare, Med, & well done. Your Choice. Personally I love my Royal Red Robin Burger cooked Medium Rare. Awesome burger and I bet this burger will be the same way if it is Medium Rare.
  6. Great read, So true of GM. They can survive and come back stronger than ever. I think this will be the pivitol point of GM finally cleaning house and getting into a strong position with Chevy, BPG & Cadillac. I see a bright future for GM.
  7. Personally GM can return the Patents and keep the right to continue to use the technology in their cars for free. This is one of those issues of how they manuver the rights of use. Over all I see nothing bad by letting them unload Opel to become a individual company and some new owner to deal with the Union Crap of Europe. Then GM can focuse the higher quality platforms from Holden into their global franchise of high quality Auto's.
  8. Yea I saw this on Yahoo also and like I think everyone, it is expected shutdown due to slow sales. If they due June 1st to July 31st that is exactly 9 weeks. I could see this also stretch into the month of August, but I would think that would hurt them bringing new models to market.
  9. Yes it is just fine, a bit on the rare side just like a steak should be cooked.
  10. That looks SO YUMMY and the beef is just right for me, a little on the rare side.
  11. Food is Yummy Course I have to agree with Camino, The Title of Bacon Explosion has mental images of Pigs being exploded. :rotflmao:
  12. This is soo funny. Amazing how much comes up on asian sluts and ackward moments.
  13. So glad to NOT be living in Socialist Europe. At least the US while some here seem to think Obama will create another Socialist country will still have to live the the laws. So a complete socialist system does not work and as even Europe is starting to figure out. Pure socialism does not work. Our pure capitalism does not work either and I suspect we will have a Hybrid of Capitalism and Socialist systems in the future. Going to be an interesting next 4 years.
  14. Too Funny, Guess I am just as lucky as my wife loves Auto's and enjoys having fun toys to drive also. She drives the Escalade ESV Platinum I got her. I drive the Hummer H2 Course with my lot of vehicles I tend to change around as I have a CTS, SRX and Custom Suburban I enjoy driving also. Good luck on school if you go back and on your future.
  15. Cool thanks for the update. We'll like your woman told you, buy it, you did and the rest is history! To bad they did not like Cadillac, you could have possibly had a CTS V
  16. Cool, about time the USPS started to update their fleet of delivery vehicles. This is nice looking upgrade for them.
  17. Congrats on a very nice car, So I am sure everyone is wanting to know the final story but no one has asked yet so I will, it would seem J was maybe BiSexual and clearly under allot of pressure from his parents to fullfill their arranged marriage. Very common in India. You said you called J but was surprised to hear M answer. Did J come back? Was he just visiting? Still married? lets here the rest of the story. Did he get a BMW back in India? Who said we did not like a detailed story to do with cars and peoples lifes.
  18. WOW, This is the first Opel I really like. Very nice lines.
  19. Seet, Very nice looking Ride. I love the snow all over it. Should be a fun car and dependable for you. if you end up having it stored for a few months on end, I would suggest you replace the battery with the DieHard Gell Pack Battery from Sears. i have one in my Suburban that sits for about 60 days at a time and it always starts right up on a dime. Good luck, it looks awesome up there.
  20. That was sweet, I would pass on the Diet Pepsi, Take a Dr. Pepper and the van instead.
  21. WOW, I did not know they had sold any Cameros yet. I have not seen a one here in Seattle. If this is true I have to say this is a pretty Ghetto thing to do to a new muscle car. This issue should have been resolved before they went into production.
  22. "The first time I drove the front wheel drive test vehicle into a turn, the weight came as a surprise. It felt almost like the small Cruze had turned into something more like a Cadillac the moment I turned the steering wheel." This statement does puzzle me as it can be taken two ways. 1st way is people could assume it is a slug and floats with num feeling like the DTS does. The old peoples car of the past. 2nd way is it could have been like a CTS and dialed in, but I suspect it is the first thought as this is a mule and so it could have had very poor handling as they do follow this up by talking about suspension tunning and tires and rims. Wish the person had just left out the whole suspension steering wheel thing as this is a mule and focused on the powertrain which is what GM clearly wants people to get out of this. I am excited to see this car, but I suspect it will not change me enough to get out of my full size SUV's. I have yet to drive a car that is as comfy to me as my SUV's. I am 6'6" tall and 275 after all. So getting down low is not on my list of things to do when I need to drive a car.
