  1. This will just make me hold onto my SUV's that much longer and keep them running rather than go and buy a paper light vehicle that would cost my family their life when they get hit by a Semi. Market dynamics is what should justify product, never the government. I might just have to look into how I can change my suburban over to an electric system with a tiny little Diesel generator to help it drive. Think about this, you take one 4x4 suburban. Replace ithe power train with 4 powerfull water proof electric motors, one at each wheel and then put in a nice size Lithum Ion battery pack and a solid DI 4 stroke diesel generator so that you can have a decent 500 to 600 mile drive and you have a very nice Green setup.

  3. Hummer, all models Pontiac GTO Monte Carlo based on the style of the mid 80's with RWD. Use the 350 RamJet for standard models and the 502 Ramjet for SS models.
  4. As a Hummer Owner, I am very sad to see them kill this off. It SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN SOLD! Hummer should all along been a niche model line in the GMC Professional Family! No matter what, there will always be people like me that need and want a Hummer H2 for off road fun, pulling the boat or RV and pretty much living life as this is NOT a daily driver. This is a Tool for me to use to enjoy my life and I could care less about the gas milage. I really am excited about this company that does Duramax conversions. Giving you 22 to 24MPG for the H2. GM should do this and jump start the real Hummers with a quality Engine. Hummer H2 Conversion Site R.I.P. 2010 Hummer
  5. Not sure who is saying the old SRX with the V6 only gets 16-17MPG. My parents SRX is the V6, they average about 25MPG on their SRX. Yes unlike mine with V8 and AWD, theirs is only RWD and after last winter wish they had an AWD auto. This is why they were looking to add a 2nd SRX until they tested the new SRX and found out how small the interior was in comparison to the old SRX and the Fit and finish did not seem to be any better.
  6. Sadly, no matter what anyone says, this car will be successful to those that want a clone of a Lexus or any other Asian luxury crossover. With that sad, this car just like the CTS Sports wagon fall short in many things. Interior room sucks, at 6'6" tall I can drive my 2004 SRX and still have someone of my size sit behind me. In the New SRX or Sports wagon, you have maybe 2" of room from the back of the seat to the front of the bottom seat cushion. No way anyone can sit behind tall people in this vehicle. In both trying the New SRX and the New Sports wagon at Dougs NW Cadillac / Hummer dealership, I sadly have to say I noticed that the tranny is slow to respond. Interior was Fine on the sportwagon as it does mirror the CTS, but sadly I found many fit and finish issues with the SRX. My parents were thinking of adding a new SRX to their 2005 SRX they have and found the lack of Head Room, Hip Room, over all interior room to be sadly lacking. As such they have given up on having a 2nd Cadillac and found that the Lincoln MKT has way more room and is very nice. NOT SURE WHO THE HELL AT GM THINKS EVERYONE IS SMALL. The new Escalades have less interior room, especially headroom in comparison to my 2006 ESV Platinum I bought. You cannot have a sun roof in the new Escalades if you are over 6 feet and even then forget to have the seat back up straight if you like to sit up straight like I do. Not enough room. Yes I did have the seat all the way down to the floor. The caddy sales Rep who has sold me all 4 of my current caddy's took pictures to email back to GM HQ as he was shocked to see that I could not sit in the Escalade with out laying back or tilting my head to the side. I feel that all the progress that Cadillac did with their cars ended with the Current CTS2006 /2007 model years and they have forgotten that there are many Americans who are big and want the driving german machine detail but with room of an american machine. I am not FAT, 275lbs at 6'6" tall. I work out all the time in the gym. Caddy wake up, you are going down the WRONG ROAD in size, interior space and questionable fit and finish.
  7. Too all you fellow members stuck in the snow storms, please be careful. We do not need any heart attacks, pulled muscles, etc. If I could I would take it all from you as we love it here in Seattle. Finally getting some cool rain and light snow in the mountains but need tons more. Becareful, if possible ignor idiot bosses that say just cause they got in you all have to get in. I do not want to read about any of you in the newspapers. Be safe and good night from Seattle.

  10. PLEASE SEND SNOW AND RAIN HERE TO SEATTLE. Yup we have been hit hard by the lousy wicked warming bug. Skiing is terrible, no new snow. Worse yet is right now with the current tiny snow packs we will be having a water shortage in Seattle this year. January was the warmest on record ever and it just sucks. I miss the wet cold rain and tons of snow in the mountains. PLEASE SEND ALL SNOW HERE!!!

  12. Gotcha, that would be good insight as to what the auto makers could be up too.
  13. OK Camino, I am totally lost on what you are asking for here. Sorry

  16. WOW, Way to go guys, All three have really nice attributes that I like. This one is going to be hard. There is one issue I have not seen fixed yet and that is what I consider to be an early pull down of the roof line for the back seat. The current STS/DTS has this also and it really cuts off headroom. I have no artistic skills, but I really think the same height should continue to the top of the back window and then take it down more in a coupe style rather than the rear lid deck. Other than that, as it would be cool to see this in a coupe fasion, like I said, the three are all really good. My complements to your artistic skill.

  18. Dodgefan, I realize you are not as big as me, but if you really take a hard look at the STS & DTS, these cars need to die. Issues with these cars, NO HEAD ROOM FLOAT RIDE LACK OF ANY BODY SUPPORT IN THE CHAIRS I could go on but those are just a few. My parents took their SRX in for a 60K service and was given a STS to drive as a loaner and they picked me up and my sister who is 5'8" tall and even she had NO HEAD room in the back seat. My dad swore anyone could sit in the car till I got in the drivers seat and adjusted it for me to drive and he tried to get in behind me and could barely squeeze his legs in behind the seat. NO REAR LEG SPACE. While the pics of the XTS show a ton of rear leg room, they really need to ut the seat all the way back and see if someone can sit behind that front seat for 3-4 hours at least. I doubt it.
  19. The car is an amazing and long overdue update / replacement for the STS/DTS which are horrible cars. Hopefully as an AWD they will truly have what looks to be 12" of space from the back of the seats to the front seats. Course until I get one and sit in it and then see if I can sit behind myself will I really know if this car has the space a full size sedan is supposed to have. Nice Job GM, Now lets get a quad set of 6'6" tall people in the car and see if they really are comfortable.
  20. Since the US has trillions and trillions of cubic feet of Natural gas that the oil companies are just burning off, maybe the smart move would be to replace all the coal power plants with natural gas to reduce CO2 emissions and change over to natural gas so we have less money going to the muslim countries. Better yet, just go synthetic on everything and totally cut off the muslim counteries.
  21. Thanks Lamar, I am going to go check the MKT out. I do like the new interiors and interface much better.
  22. 3rd row is actually not bad, my kids are 5' 8" tall and had no problem sitting back there. I was able to get back there also but at 6' 6" tall I would be fine for 30 min to an hour drive but would not want to be back there for long drives.
  23. SWEET!!! Looking forward to the updated pics!
  24. WOW, Neil truly is an Asian loving nimrod. He not only misses the mark with this auto but truly does not get it and must not have driven a rav4 or CRV lately either. Idiots like this should not even be allowed to write for papers. He should find a job at Consumer reports, another nimrod company that is like a horse with blinders on.
