Yeah, the rims are absolutely terrible. They're ugly beyond ugly. That's why I'll be replacing the rims with a set of these soon: I've always liked Year One's 17" Rally Rim reproductions and considered buying a set for my old black Turdmaro. That's what will be going on this car. That's a seat from either a late '90s Grand Prix or early 2000's Impala, I believe. Yes, I said a seat. The previous owner started to replace the original worn out ones and stopped at the driver's seat. I still have the original driver's seat, but I'm not sure I'm going to reupholster it, the passenger side seat, or the rear seat bottoms. I'm open to criticism here, but I'm thinking a set of Recaros out of a Cobalt SS may be what I use to replace the front seats, if not at least a set of seats out of a fourth-gen F-Body. Of course, they'll be recovered with more factory-style coverings. I do plan on reusing at least the back of the rear seat. I'm afraid so. I have no idea who in the hell made those things, but I'd like to hope that they've went out of buisness. We'll get there sometime this winter I hope. So far, I'm planning on painting the car black and adding a custom hood and lower body side graphics, although I'm also considering a few Holden-sourced paint options as well. As far as the body goes, it's 85 percent straight and 85 percent rust free. None of your typical F-Body rust has gotten to the rocker panels or any of the rear sheetmetal. The floorpans do have some very mild rust issues (which second-gen F-Body car doesn't?), but that's no big deal. I can spend $200 bucks on so on a new set from Camaro Central, which is luckily located about 15 miles away from me (and that also means I'll get to save a buttload of cash on shipping working on this car). Sounds Very Cool, I would like to suggest you keep a running blog here with pictures so we can all lust after this baby being brought back to a high standard of BAD!

I didn't make that bet... LOL I am just expanding on that bet. I agree one will survive at least but will loose it's freedom to a bigger boy on the block.

Agree, I like the multiple LED lights, but do not like the chrome bling around them, Very ugly. think it could have been done much better. I do like the bumper integrated exhaust.

I forsee BMW having a hard landing in the future. I honestly do not see a market for this car or the x6 for that matter. They are niche vehicles with very little sales from what I can gather. Is this just to have some marketing change blurb. I guess if they can really build it without it having a drain on raw costs, then a break even niche auto will work. But I do not see it at this time.

But at the right cheap price, you could gut it, clean it and put in the engine, electrical and inside you desire and have a killer auto. Not worth the effort. Would be to me. Think of a new Suburban, Camero, Sierra etc that you just gutted the electrical, interior, etc and then cleaned and painted and sealed the auto and then custmized the interior and powertrain to your liking. Anyone want a Suburban Duramax Diesel? If I could pick a suburban up for a few thousand dollars as scrap and then gut it and build it the way I want the interior and powertrain to be, this is well worth it to me.

As far as Caprice fiasco - there was a loophole in the process where civilians could buy the vehicles that was later realized and closed by GM, but few escaped into the hands of people anyways. Dfelt, if such is the case then it is good, but I fail to see why GM would pose that language on its website. Most sales GM would like to have come from companies that are focused on the CNG market who would then get the vehicle for a customer from the fleet sales person but that adds another layer of cost that I do not see as needed. So as the GM LinkedIn group said, just go see the fleet sales person to buy one. What do you mean? An individual going through his company that is CNG focused which in turn will approach a fleet sales person and then procure the vehicle? There are businesses that are wanting to change over to CNG fleet so a company will come to then, offer a CNG fueling solution and trucks and make a pitch to the customer and because they might have financing all setup, will buy the new GM CNG BiFuel trucks along with the CNG fueling solution and end up paying more than if you bought the trucks direct and only bought the fueling solution.

In talking to the lady who over seas the fleet program for GM and manages the LinkedIn GM CNG and Fleet Groups, she states that the fleet designation is there so that people have to work with the fleet sales person. Anyone can buy a CNG/Petrol Bi-Fuel truck from GM but must do it from the Fleet salesperson at the dealership. Anyone can buy the trucks. Dodge is planning at last anouncement to have their trucks out Jan 2013. They only get a 9gallon cng tank unlike GM or Ford who are doing the big tanks.

Thank you, That is my house originally built 1952. I gutted the inside down to the studes and redid everything, new copper plumbing, new electrical, panel, insulated even between the upstairs and down stairs and used 1" sheetrock so the house is almost sound proof. Ran plenum tubbing through out all going back to a core punch down block and then connects to my core switch and out the Fios modem in the Garage. Cat6e cabled, all shielded even electrical and the Roof is a 100yr roof with Ridge vent. Over all stays warm in the winter, cool in the summer and very little natural gas cost. Heat, water tank, dryer and stove all Natural gas. Plus my driveway can hold 9 suburbans with no problem.

Yes for sure on the color scheme and treatments but also some of the interior walls could be better done with reconfiguration. My use and tastes tend to go for more great room concept where you can have plenty of frends and family to have over and this home shows the very old small room style that just kills being able to do anything with large families.
