  1. 4 Banger Diesel baby or maybe a v6 You can have your awesome Torque for pulling, Awesome Fuel milage as only Diesels do.
  2. I agree that we need to end distracted driving, not really sure that having states pass laws is the right way to go versus a single law that all states should enforce. Sad the video about the little girl who got killed on the dot web site. I do wonder if this will really make a differance. Washington state has distraction driving law, texting law, cell conversation only with Blue tooth device, must be hands free. Yet I see thousands a day as I ride the bus to and from work that are on their cell phones or worse, putting on makeup, shaving, eating a bowl of food. So just how does demanding states to pass laws change this behavior? Seems a waste of time, If the FED's are to dictate rules, then dictate one law and move forward, not a series of cray state laws that are all different from one another.
  3. Cool and yet yawn, FWD with 260HP
  4. But if you take the dog out of their lap, they loose their added curshin for collision! You would not want them to get hurt when a dog is much easier to replace.
  5. Perhaps this is the case for dedicated CNG vehicles, but there is no way dual fuel vehicles are not running emissions equipment. A few searches online and you would see that there are special CNG catalytic converters. Apparently, running CNG does not damage gasoline catalytics... and also the gasoline cats are ineffective on CNG exhaust. This article describes a Pentastar V6 being converted to dual fuel and no emissions parts were disturbed... http://www.popularme...-to-natural-gas A few other interesting things noted in this article... The opinion here is that DIY conversion is going to run afoul of the Clean Air Act and net you $5K a day fines if you drive your modified car. Also noted is that NFPA bans storage of CNG in a home, so filling is going to be slow. The article does not mention if outdoor CNG storage would be legal. You are correct, if your caught, as Canada will do cheap converstions that are not EPA certified you end up having to pay big time. Home CNG fueling is allowed, the PHILL unit that goes on your wall in the garage is an overnight fueling at 1/2 gallon an hour. Yet with prices for CNG at home running from a low of .68 cents to $2 a gallon, the savings over the long run add up. You can also for your home get a Small Q or Big Q fueling system. They are 1.5 gallons an hour or 3.5 gallons an hour fueling. So you can fill up much faster, but these units are required to be installed outside. A honda civic GX CNG is a 300 miles on a tank full or about 27 mpg per their web site, so filling up overnight at home is an easy thing and you always have fast fill fueling stations you can use also. GM Bi-Fuel trucks have a total of 655 miles using both CNG and Petrol. Funny they will not state gas mileage but will say you should get about 355 miles out of the petrol tank, so that would leave you with 300 miles on the CNG. Your still for either fuel around the 14-15 miles per gallon rate.
  6. What you did not like BootyLicous Woman selling you the Fiat????? AKA JLO???? I did think the brunette in the Abrath commercial was hot! oh they were fine, thats not the person in question. im talking about the coke addict on house arrest... winning! Guess I missed something, what coke addict on house arrest winning??????
  7. The Eco trim level uses LS-level interior bits rather than LT or LTZ-level interior bits. A Cruze Eco customer is paying an extra $800 for a couple MPG increase, but is then punished with an interior that is LS-level. Again, why would anyone buy that Cruze Eco? For the same reason that people pay more for a Porsche that's stripped down & uses lightweight bits - it gives them more of what they want. What makes you right and them wrong for caring more about mpg than creature comforts? I see your point, but does the nicer interiors really affect the MPG that badly? I kinda doubt it, if it does maybe by 1/2MPG at worst. There is no reason to offer eco models that cannot have the nice internals. It is just stupid decisions by bean counters and some moron in marketing that thinks people will pay a premium for the MPG and accept a lousy interior. It is a good question, whether the nicer interior adds significant weight or otherwise somehow reduces economy. The other option might be that the cheaper interior costs GM less, and using it helps offset the additional cost of using unique parts on the eco for weight savings, meaning they'd have to charge more for the Eco with both the unique parts and nicer interior. If that's the only issue, though, the nicer interior should probably be optional. It could also just be a marketing ploy. It might be interesting to see what they could come up with in a super-lightweight yet upscale interior, perhaps using seats that ditch the traditional foam & fabric on metal frame for a plastic or even carbon fiber frame. I bet it wouldn't result in enough increase in economy to offset the cost though. How about taking the Hammock approach to seats. You dich the foam, steel springs, etc and build a seat that just molds to your body with a few tie downs to keep it from moving but reducing great amounts of weight. I am sure we can find low cost solutions that would give a better interior without sacrificing the quality and options that people will want in a car with high mileage.
  8. I say the back body flared wheels has potential, but the front end is just all wrong.
  9. Sorry guys, but this is a Cheers. Nothing else like it on the road. I love standing out and this just catches my eye. I love the Jag engine. That is freakin Sweet!!! Balt I know what you mean about the fender scallops but that is also what I think makes it look so fresh and different. I know the design language is not perfect, but if your looking for something different to stand out from the rest, this does fit the bill. Only problem is the price, it is so over priced.
  10. I totally agree, just move the engineering here, shut down the wasted R&D efforts there, shrink all the stupid overhead wasted there to get the sales to be profitable. Tired of supporting Euro. Tired of our country being the world Police, Tired of giving billions to everyone else and not focusing on rebuilding our great country.

  12. I totally agree with you. No German auto engine in my Caddy!!!
  13. Love em all. Those are some great cars.
  14. When you're ready to do some online advertising :-) Yes, Once I get everything setup and my web site fully built, then I would love to put up some advertising here.
  15. If this all happens in 2013 with Euro and Japan with China in 2014. Do they have the money to get a 20,000 car production line up and running plus still pay everyone for a year of no production? Some how I do not see this being a successful company without being consumed by someone much bigger.
  16. But can we get some style that is not ugly???? Not a Fan of Hyundai style language.
  17. Very interesting study, thank you for posting it. I do find the quote about the US also interesting considering that converted auto's tend to have no emissions, but CNG auto's built and sold by the actual auto companies do have emissions controls. Guess they learned from Europe.
  18. I agree with the AC vents, would have been a good idea. Someone was asleep at the interiors decorating meetings. Yea the dash is busy, but it does make a statement of look at me. It is rememberal compared to so many other bland blah dashes. In this regards, when you have an ubber exclusive car like this, you want it to stick out in the minds of others and I think they have done that except for the oversight on the AC vents.
  19. Sounds Nice, but lets get to the meat and potatoes of the issue. You can have all the horse power in the world but what is the Torque???? Little bity torque does not do much even with a bunch of power. Not a fan of engines that rev and have horsepower but no torque!
  20. But start with a over tight pair of Vice Grips then blow tourch it and finally followed with Castration. I cannot believe someone thought this was a cool thing to do to these auto's.
  21. WOW, what a waste of tax dollars. Time to kick these idiots out of office.
  22. Everyone can complain about the CTS Coupe, but I love it. Especially the V version!
  23. What you did not like BootyLicous Woman selling you the Fiat????? AKA JLO???? I did think the brunette in the Abrath commercial was hot!
  24. How do you spend 1 million in the mid 80's and end up with such a pathetic interior!
