  1. Interesting, I am with GoDaddy and been pretty happy. I see they are a big international hosting company. I am surprised they have outage issues.
  2. I agree with your statements above 100%. GMC should have 3 distinct levels of their models where necessary - standard (current trim lineup of W/T, SL, SLE, SLT), urban (Denali), and off-road (All Terrain). A truck/CUV/SUV for everyone's needs Just imagine if GM listened to us, they could make some serious cash.
  3. That truck is just freakin hot! Another reason why I hold onto my Suburban. It just rocks.
  4. The point was... it wasn't insignificant. 62 lbs is comparable, for instance, to the entire sound insulation package used in many compact cars. 62lbs to me is nothing, I guess if you are used to compact cars then you are right it is significant. But for a guy who only owns full size SUV's or my performance Trailblazer AWD SS, 62lbs is nothing. In a car the size of a corvette, there are many places that they can adjust to drop a 62lb dumb bell. I think the technological gains of this very Efficient Engine outway the small 62lb gain in weight. As we all know, Horsepower might win the Marketing battle, but Torque wins the war! Just love that quote.
  5. After seeing this, I just do not know what to say. WTF!
  6. Good to know that it was a paint option. I agree Ocn as paint issues were industry wide with problems.
  7. I wonder if this GM/PSA platform could end up being a global platform on the scale of what VW is doing where you can build a wide range of auto's on it and sell it to less funded companies who want to use it to build their own auto's.
  8. Do you know if the Two Tone was an OEM paint option?
  9. Out of Curiosity, who is the web hosting company?
  10. I agree, using the hummer 4x4 technology as a kit to offer on GM trucks and SUV's so if a person wants a Raptor class rig they can order it would have made for a far better product line than setting Hummer up as a stand alone division. That was a big mistake.
  11. Smack it or did he SMACK it!
  12. We'll if I was to get a crotch rocket car, then this would do it for me. Dusk color please with the big ass most powerful motor available please.
  13. Happy B-Day ZL-1
  14. Your very right about these new liquids. They over all do just fine, the story's of sludge, jello clogging up is due to the uninformed who do not bother to even read the maintenance section of their owners manual and then they go and mix in non compatible liquids and mess it all up. Today's modern engines will last a long time if you take 30 min to review your owners manual and get to know your auto. Do not treat it like a standard kitchen appliance. They are more complex and need a bit of special attention. If you do not want to do this and want to be in that class of appliance users, then at least have the common sense to take it to the dealer or certified ASE repair place for maintenance. If you choose to ignore common sense maintenance, then you do not have a right to complain about the product when it fails you due to you failing to take care of it. GIRTH GAINED In regards to the insignificant weight gain of this engine, there are many other areas that they will be able to shed weight and I do not see this causing any decrease in gas mileage or performance.
  15. OK, to clarify, the hardware packages and the drive ratio's that were avaiable on the hummer should be made part of an extreme off road package. I am not aware of any current GM 4x4 that had a 45 to 1 crawl ratio out the door from the OEM except when GM built Hummers. There were many things that you found on a hummer that I never saw on any other GM product.
  16. In searching around Seattle here and I admit I could have overlooked it or just not Binging it or googling it right, but was a two tone like this OEM? I am wondering if the owner had the strip painted on.
  17. Party Time
  18. Yet I have found that many people from India, do give their kids everything and spoil them here in America when they have been very financially successful. It was pathetic some of the parties I have see at hotels I have stayed at for 1year old, 16, 18 etc. They spend crazy amounts on their kids.
  19. Sweet Starter Ride for college adults and a solid fun commuter car. Wonder if the aftermarket will have a twin scroll Turbo with cold air intake kit to bump this up into the 200+ range of Torque and HP.
  20. I would have to say in looking again at the photo's that I do not think this truck has been repainted and all the badges are in place. The 2500 is on the rubber bumper strip at the front of the door and the SLE badge is in place Lower Right Corner of the rear window as well as from what I can see. The interior matches what I have on my 94 bought in 93 Suburban SLE. Very roomy, comfy ride. Look forward to hearing about it and what the condition of the engine bay is and underneath knowing that the road salts can rust an auto out, yet this looks very clean.
  21. I use Albert as my "consumer focus group - subgroup: people dumb about cars".... in the nicest way possible of course. Anyone who drives a Honda or Toyota has been conditioned into thinking that when the "Service Required Soon" light starts flashing, then it is time to get an oil change. It could be 3,000 miles or 15,000 miles... they ignore the sticker as long as that light isn't on. Very true and now with GM, Ford and pretty much everyone telling you to just follow the computer for when to get oil changes, etc. If the computer does not tell them, most will ignore the 3K that a grease monkey puts on the window.
  22. Good to know as the place I found them on did not state it was the concept or sema version. But it also is good to compare and realize that they pretty much stayed true to the design language.
  23. Unless they are really stupid customers to ignore their engine info center, most people should come to realize that we are at the end of days with the BS 3000 miles you change the oil. That was true of older cars of the 90's and older than that, but not with todays cars and the use of synthetic or blends, you should be able to go 7500 to 10K miles now on an oil change.
  24. Rock on, thank you Drew.
