Aftermarket Gauges and Meters
So in reading online, you can install the gauge inside and run the wires out of the fire wall and then you need to locate where the oil temp gauge is on the engine so that you can splice the wire into it and this way the OEM gauge would still work plus your new flashy gauge. The sensors in most cars are able to report all the info, just that it is cheaper to have dummy lights to say too hot or a generic gauge that shows cold to hot.

LA Auto Show: A Bit Of Sport Hybrid For The Acura RLX: Comments
Exactly. Unless they mean the Volvo S80 if that still has a V8. Because the V8s in an E550, 550i or Jaguar XF would smash this thing. And you can get 38 mpg from a 5-series or A6 and 45 mpg from an E-class so they didn't win their either. These Japanese companies bet on hybrids and they aren't really the answer. They could have done a skateboard base so a much bigger battery, then use pure CNG or BioDiesel Generator and have the auto fully driven AWD by electric motors. This would be Rockin!

Subaru News: What Is Happening Between Subaru and Toyota? Subaru's Chief Says No To Convertible
Nothing New here as Subaru is sticking to their game plan and Toyota is going with their game plan. Same Marketing fluff. Be interesting to see who wins as I suspect they will want both product lines to have it to reduce over all cost.

BFG All-Terrain T/As Rock! I have them on all my SUV's except the Trailblazer SS and Escalade ESV. Trucks and SUV's should have this awesome tire and nothing else.

Obama Administration and EPA Propose a 14% cut in Ethanol Blends
I agree especially considering that the auto's run worse on Ethanol blended fuels. All my auto's run rougher when Washington state in October starts having the Ethanol blends being put out. So far the studies do not support the supposed extra cleaning of green house gas since it has ethanol in the blend. The auto's run rough and it is just not impressive.

2013 LA Auto Show Impressions
Very nice review and impression, guess you fall into the German Fan Boy camp, I find your comment about Cadillac to be interesting considering that at the Seattle Autoshow, I was not impressed with either the I3 or I8 electric concepts. In regards to German interiors, Your comments about CTS are the exact same comments I have about BMW. So perception is everything, CTS kills the 3 series IMHO.

The Blacked-out 2014 300S?
This was shown at the Seattle autoshow and received plenty of positive press and people likes but was not an available package yet. I wonder if this is the blacked out edition as it was a sweet looking ride!

LA Auto Show: NISMO Pulls Some Magic Out For The Juke and Sentra: Comments
I will hand it to Nissan, they did a nice Job on the Nismo Sentra. Juke, Hello, this is just freaking butt ugly! Nothing they can do will make this an attractive CUV for the masses, this is an extreme extrovert cuv who will accept ugliness to just continue getting attention even when it is negative attention.

LA Auto Show: 2015 Kia K900 (No, It's Not An Appliance): Comments
I knew I had heard K900 before and that it was not a car. Sure enough, Lenovo had the first K900. Car over all sounds nice and to me is a knock off of the BMW but the Name is Lame! KIA, WAKE UP WITH SOME STARBUCKS and get a REAL NAME!

Lexus LF-NX Turbo Advanced Crossover Concept
Interesting, I can see aspects of this showing up on models in the Lexus family but the over all complete package is too Anime / cartoonish and you are right that front grill is just hideous, but then many have found the Predator Grill to be a bust. I wonder how long they will stick with it before accepting the sales losses and finally updating the nose of their auto's to not be so offensive.

LA Auto Show: A Bit Of Sport Hybrid For The Acura RLX: Comments
Have you actually driven one? To say Kia and Acura in the same sentence is a bit of a sacrilege. It may not be a 100k per year seller, but the engineering and performance of this car is impressive. Drive one, if you get a chance. Add 3 electric motors to it and a 7-speed DCT, and it should be even more so. I know you have to sell them CaddyCruiser, but this is an ugly duckling that will not become a swan. Hard to drive something that visually is so terrible. Fact that many humans are visual so this has got to be stunning and it is not IMHO.

LA Auto Show: 2015 Porsche Macan: Comments
This will cannibalize their only faithful sales to the Cayenne. Here I have to say that while the engineering chops are impressive, I think Marketing forgot to keep this small er CUV in it's proper place. My gut tells me they will rush a refresh of the Cayenne to market next year after this kills off sales.

Obama Administration and EPA Propose a 14% cut in Ethanol Blends
G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.cheersandgears.com On Friday November 15th, the Obama administration and the EPA acknowledged that the Bio-Fuel law championed by both parties in 2007 is not meeting expectations and that the US has hit it's limit for now. Against strong lobbing by the Ethanol to resist cuts, the EPA has proposed cutting the amount of fuel in 2014 that must be blended by 14%. Will this drop corn prices? Increase or decrease refined petrol cost at the pump? Reduce maintenance on auto's? Cost jobs in certain sectors? Sounds off on how you feel about the Ethanol blends! Give your positive and negative feedback on how you feel about this. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/11/15/the-u-s-is-hitting-its-ethanol-limit-so-the-epa-will-weaken-its-biofuels-rules/ http://www.moneynews.com/Economy/EPA-Oil-Industry-Biofuel/2013/11/15/id/536937 http://breakingenergy.com/2012/09/30/biodiesel-producer-urges-epa-to-resist-calls-for-ethanol-mandate/

Wait for the Diesel, you will be kicking yourself if you do not. My gut tells me it will be only 3-6 months after production starts and they will have the diesel out. I know emotion is go grab it and trade in that bug for a Butch ride, but hold off and use logic, not emotion as you will be so mucho happier with the Diesel Version. You know I am right!

Biggest one day stock drop due to auto Fire in Seattle Suburb
Yes Tesla is the only one to actually have a real Electric car in my mind, but the bulk of the mass people cannot afford it and so that leave the pathetic luxury golf cart Nissan Leaf, Spark EV and Focus or Fiesta ? ev auto's. I might be missing one or two others but excluding the beloved Tesla for the rich, Electric is not ready for mass driving. You cannot just drive to work and then get in after work and go on a road trip without planning on where you will spend hours charging before you move your next little amount of time. Time is money and 80 miles, then a 8-12hr charge or level 2 4-6hr charge is NOT acceptable to the bulk of people today. People willing to accept this are a eccentric small group of the population.
