  1. It is interesting to see how the Toxic settlement ponds from making batteries are never discussed. We have so many around the world and there was the big one disaster in Germany where the pond broke and destroyed the town, farming lands, etc. Electric is not as clean / Green as the marketing spin makes it out to be. Just like Ethonal does not clean up the air like the marketing message nor do they ever talk about the destruction of the waterways, erosion and blue babies from the growing of excess GMO corn for Ethanol production. Goerge W Bush signing the Ethonal laws in 2006 was one of the biggest green mistakes ever and Obama just continues the lie. So where is the talk about the toxic waste product from battery production?
  2. Twins, a good Idea to forget, re-badging nightmare all over again.
  3. If it makes sense for MB to follow BMW with I4, I6, etc. Why not have GM go with a V4, V6 and V8. Packaging of these pushrods would be tight, very fuel efficient and allow room for TT of each engine.
  4. Nice Shot, looks very masculine.
  5. Nice ride, way to go and good luck with the house. A far better investment than an auto.
  6. In looking at the tesla web site for spec's, they talk about using high impact plastics as covers. I wonder if this is what is covering the battery and why an impact tends to cause the battery fire. They state 6" of ground clearance, but I saw two over the weekend and both seemed to be much lower.
  7. Wish they would have a Mini Pickup Truck. I feel there is a large segment of people that need a mini pickup truck rather than a mid or full size.
  8. Very interesting, never thought someone would want to have a poser cover on their brakes but I guess if you are only going for a look this will work. Good Luck.
  9. True, they build 10's of thousands of auto's compared to Tesla's numbers.
  10. wow, amazing bleeding edge tech. Wonder how much this car will be in the shop for repair compared to driving on the road?
  11. I would love to know what upgrades they did, is it a bigger hydraulic pump system, upgraded programming, larger ABS lines to the brakes themselves? Also what is the engineering reason behind this upgrade? I myself would feel this would be worthwhile to everyone as a better system is always more desirable.
  12. WOW, Just enforces why there needs to be the ability to recall folks from office. Morons like this is the last thing we need in office.
  13. Interesting, I wonder what Tesla has to say about this latest one.
  14. I like what I have seen about this, but I also am wondering if the ABS is a more heavy duty system since the brakes themselves are also upgraded?
  15. Sweet Win CTS!
  16. Awesome, thanks Drew, so far very snappy.
  17. I had allstate and farmers and both were happy to take money but slow to respond to customer needs. I went with Costco Ameriprise and have loved it. For all the auto's and house and the rate was very low and yet still I get great response usually same day if not the next at the latest for the few times I have had to use it. Most times while on the phone they ask me to go to xyz autoshop and they will snap the pictures write it up and get back to me in 72hrs to have it dropped off for repair if it can still be driven. One time I was hit and not drivable, they had me in a rental same day and had it being repaired the next. Ameriprise is awesome. Just wish they also had marine. Have to go with Progressive for that.
  18. Thanks Dwight, I found this very enlightening about the two types and their efficiencies. Much appreciated.
  19. Happy Birthday Drew, Hope you have a great day and even better night!
  20. One less broken 4x4 with poor site lines. Though I do have to say I did like that they have been the only one to include a angle gauge in the FJ to tell you what angle the auto is at. But after seeing how easy it was to bend up the unibody on these, they became a joke in the 4x4 off road community. Just a street poser.
  21. That is great info and very easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to explain this for us. Next big question, so how does this compare to a supercharger then? We have the intercooler and the supercharger sitting right on top of the engine, I realize there are those that attach to the front or the engine, but my understanding is the Whipple is still the most efficient supercharger around. So comparing a Whipple supercharger with intercooler to a Garrett GTX2867R turbo with intercooler. How does this stack/compare up?
  22. This is very interesting information and helps me better understand the turbo system. Question of my own. We know that Inter-coolers and Turbo's are not 100% efficient, if we could chill the intake system going into the engine so that once the air goes through the inter-cooler, into the turbo and as it goes towards the cylinders we could chill the passage way to take heat away would this not help us achieve closer to 100% efficiency?
  23. This gives me the sad feeling that some of the old GM still is sitting around waiting to screw things up since they cannot seem to settle on a standard. I agree with Roger that they should not change this.
  24. Interesting potential. See how much of this gets passed onto the whole family and if potential customers actually buy it.
