  1. Give it a proper powerful motor and AWD and I think you would have a successful inexpensive multipurpose auto for the youth market.
  2. Chevy showed off their newest addition to the commercial fleet aimed at small business owners to tradesmen in need of a compact service / delivery vehicle. The Chevy City Express is designed to compete with the Ford Transit Connect, Nissan NV200 and Chryslers new ProMaster City van. It is not surprising that GM has decided to join in one of the hottest fastest growing segments. GM last made a minivan back in 2008 and ending production just before the 2009 bankruptcy. They have continued to build an old outdated commercial van for this segment, yet instead of starting from scratch, GM choose to turn to Nissan who they have contracted with to build this small Cargo Van that Chevy will sell in North American markets. Based on the NV200, the Chevy City Express will go on sale fall of 2014 with production at the Nissan plant in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Nissan currently sells the NV200 as a commercial van including as the Taxi of Tomorrow in New York City. With having a van that won the International Van of the Year award with the lowest cost of ownership, GM is hoping to boost demand and take a percentage of this fast growing market. Ford in a move to grab even more market share before GM and Chrysler can come to market and before Nissan makes a noticeable dent also just updated for this year the Transit Connect. Unknown is the power plants that GM plans to deliver in this van. For sure it will be a small 4 cylinder power plant, but will they have Diesel and what about AWD?
  3. Nice thing is you can have a Natural Gas Generator that would allow the Natural Gas Heater and Hot Water tank to still work fine. Pretty standard on homes here in washington when you have fall and winter storms that cause trees to go down. This way you stay functional with the electricity out.
  4. http://www.chevrolet.co.in/ Interesting that India is just now getting the US based Spark which you can just barely see behind some of the Adra pictures. Also interesting models on the India Chevy web site. Chevy Beat Chevy Sail Chevy Cruze Chevy Enjoy Chevy Captiva Chevy Spark Chevy Tevera Interesting to see that what we call the Chevy Spark is the Chevy Beat in India.
  5. weird but I cannot post pictures to posts that I just did and then click edit. It errors out if I try to add to an existing post.
  6. Interesting that I found the same color on this corvette. Wonder if the adra is based on these earlier concepts?
  7. The more I find images of it, It is interesting and I like it. I can see it as a nice inner city run about. probably running a 1 L motor.
  8. First 1000 buyers get a 240 Volt home charging system installed free with the purchase of the ELR. http://editorial.autos.msn.com/blogs/post--cadillac-elr-includes-home-charging-station-for-first-1000-buyers?goback=%2Egde_3703247_member_5836854383853211651
  9. Nice write up. Agree more power for the Versa and the Diesel I would expect as they will be watching the GM twins and how well they do with a diesel.
  10. While it was a hot car when shown the first time, now it just seems Ehhh. I think they waited to long to get this to market. Be interesting to see how crazy the prices get due to 2nd, 3rd, 4th dealer markups.
  11. Who said Toyota does not like to rebadge their auto's as subaru? Talk about a bland plain interior. Not sure what they were wanting to accomplish but I think they failed homer.
  12. Not bad looking, I like what they are offering here, just wish the engine had more Torque to go with that lovely HP in AWD mode.
  13. WHY WHY WHY? The interior is very Frugal, except for the initial cheapskates who want an electric auto for inner city driving, this will not achieve anything especially since there is nothing special here to begin with especially the batter. Old/current technology. Kia, if you wanted to get into the EV market, you should have brought 21st century change. The Soul EV with a 200 mile range would have been a game changer.
  14. Avengers
  15. I see the value of it for a global market since so many counteries especially the Socialist Euro Union seems to love to tax size. My hate point is the weight and low torque these engines have. Just to beat the tax man you end up building a engine that is not really the best solution. I will say that I do love this idea especially for reducing the number of engines being built to simplify and increase the profit of GM which would allow you to have special niche vehicles with big block engines.
  16. Interesting and I know people love the look, but from a safety stand point, anything that reduces the light output is not good in my book and the headlights is the one thing I wish was auto on like GM does as I see so many people at dusk that drive without them on thinking they can be seen and yet so many people have reduced vision at dusk. Good Video, I know you guys will probably sell a bunch of them. Good Luck.
  17. Good News, The lawyer made a deal for flipping on the Mafia and now she can live happily ever after with her Hitman lover in witness protection as a pizza delivery driver.
  18. A man and his Toy!!!
  19. No body is really saying it, but the comments all tend to point towards the main issue of CONFUSION! BMW ~ You have finally lost your head in your own Boosted Ego! This will NOT help you grow market share and beat your competition, it will confuse and cannibalize your own existing sales. I doubt BMW will gain any noticeable market share from conquest sales with this poorly thought out and executed marketing plan.
  20. Thanks for the clarification, that blows is all the Acura CUV's sitting around here are just base models. I cannot think why in a High Tech City they would not have all the electronic options that most workers would want.
  21. Surprised Lincoln actually has that big of a gain. Is it a Fluke? Sad to see GM divisions all showing downs even though they sold the most auto's so far on what has been posted.
  22. An Manning Self Destructs and the broncos are out played in every way.
