  1. Why would this be the same size as an ATS? This is an S-class coupe... which, you know, is based on the S-Class sedan, Mercedes-Benz's largest sedan. SMK was compairing it to the size of the ATS and LaCrosse including the height of 56". That is why I said if it is sized with the ATS I will never be able to drive it. I also agree with Balthazar, at 6'6" tall, Todays modern cars have removed us large people as possible consumers since the only thing we fit into for comfort is trucks and SUV's. Not everything in life is better small! Small cars are not really better. If all you care about is MPG and want to give up Quality of Life, then drive your coffin and accept that you will die when a much larger auto or semi hits you. Back on Topic, This is a FAILURE! MB should have done better in design both inside and out! Is is nice? YES, Is it different enough to stand out on it's own, NO! Best example of this is the picture of the Honda Accord Coupe that was posted, this looks like an evolution of that auto. Nice but still bland and fading in with the rest. It does not stand out or make a statement and it does not come across as ubber luxury, elite class. MB has chevized their product line.
  2. I find it interesting that many folks here have stated the 3 & 4 series is to compete against the A5 series. I thought the BMW 3 & 4 series were to compete against the Audi A3 and Cadillac ATS and MB C class. So then this sounds like the BMW 3 & 4 should also compete against the Cadillac CTS and MB E class based on what many here have stated. So if you are competeing in a Price/Size category, it is confusing that some say it competes against higher level from the competition. I would like to see a chart that shows the models from each vendor and which class they truly compete in. Compact Luxury class Cadillac ATS BMW 3 & 4 Series Audi A3 & A4 MB C class Lexus CT Infinity G sedan Mid Size Luxury Class Cadillac CTS BMW 5 & 6 series Audi A5 & A6 MB E class Lexus ES Infinity Q50 & 60 series I know I could have some in the wrong actual class, but this is my thinking, something that actually shows us what class each auto competes in.
  3. I agree with everything here, but have to state two amazing auto's not on the list. Balthazar, I help you out here. GMC Syclone & Typhoon
  4. Sounds like they promoted someone who then threw a tantrum as they did not have their own product line, so they created the 4 but the person in charge of the 3 threw a tantrum about loosing his auto's to the 4 so the 3 decided to go ahead and make replacements. They are screwing themselves up royaly!
  5. I will never be able to drive this since if it is the same size as the ATS and while I love the design of the ATS. I could not sit upright, even with the seat all the way back, I was not comfy since I could not get enough leg room and no one could ever sit behind me. Another Benze for the under 6' crowd. Bedazzled with Crystals and a SOSO design language inside and out. Yet they will sell a ton to the status John versus John freaks out there.
  6. That is so freakin HOT HOT HOT! Truly Professional GRADE! Way better than the one it replaces which never really fit into the design language of Professional Grade GMC.
  7. Why not get one of the long boom cranes with an extra large hook and like the games where you try to get your prize, try and hook the under carrage to pull the auto's up to safety. What a sad day and lose for the auto work enthusiest.
  8. That makes sense now that I look back at the full dash pictures again. The red dash makes them look like rivets, but I can understand being an open close vent button.
  9. Just noticed the Silver Button by the vent opening on the passenger side of the front dash. Any ideas what that button does?
  10. Awesome ride for the Price! That is one of the cleanest I have seen with those miles. Way to Go, awesome deal, awesome auto. Look forward to hearing how it treats your family down the road. FYI, I have a GM 2006 SUV and 2008 SUV both with the airbag suspension and have had NO PROBLEMS. Both are over 100K miles also. So I think the issues early on in the production of the auto have been worked out.
  11. Interesting auto, but the style is so dated and blah.
  12. For such a High End Auto, I have mixed feelings about the interior plainness and the exterior which tends to say to me been there done that in the last 20yrs. Also what is so big about these so called Crystal headlamps. They are nice looking, but do they really give me anything better than what everyone else is doing or is it just another status name to float around? Just not impressed. Nice auto, but not impressed.
  13. WOW, they all look the same except for the 4 door long version is clearly identifiably different from the rest. Clear distinct versions would help along with quality. Coworker bought his and has had it in the shop as much as he has had it home. Way to many problems for a small auto.
  14. It will be interesting to see what the new spec's are on these trucks when they implement them. My gut tells me all 3 are working to make sure when they go to the J2807 spec that they do not loose towing and hauling capacity.
  15. Are you sure you had the V6? It's the same V6 as in the Charger/Challenger/300. Yeah, the 2.4 would struggle. I will be honest that with the winter weather the person said it was a V6 but I never checked as I used the vehicle, got to the customer site and drove back to fly back out. So if it is a 4 banger in that CUV, I would not recommend it.
  16. Was at the local Enterprise and can confirm that they had a ton of Roques and RAV-4's. I did not see any Journeys. Then at the National lot at the airport, same large group of rental metal but they did have a lone single Journey. I got it and drove it and while not bad, I wish it had a tad more power. The V6 seems to sound like it is struggling.
  17. Cute car that should be a decent competitor in the compact market. Personally I am tired of the sloping roof line as it eats up valuable head room and cramps us big people. Not everyone is 5' 8" tall.

  19. But the Surf is Up and the waves are fine. Come on Down and we'll throw a shrimp on the barbi for you.
  20. Catfish cars make a comeback!
  21. Product line that should still be merged with Mazda for a more complete lineup and stronger company.
  22. Interesting, looks like a decent evolution for the Chevy line.
